    Description: A key to all known genera of the Sigalphinae (Braconidae) is given and all genera are described and fully illustrated. Two new genera from the Australian region and one from the Afrotropical region are described: Notosigalphus gen. nov. (type species: Sphaeropyx conjugator Turner, 1917), Aposigalphus gen. nov. (type species: Aposigalphus tessi spec. nov.), and Malasigalphus gen. nov. (type species: Malasigalphus petiolaris spec. nov.). Keys to the Australian and Palaearctic species of Sigalphinae are given. The new tribe Afrocampsini is proposed for the Afrotropical genera Malasigalphus gen. nov. and Afrocampsis van Achterberg & Quicke, 1990. Sigalphus hunanus You & Tong, 1991, and S. anonis You & Zhou, 1991, are synonymized with S. irrorator (Fabricius, 1775).

    Description: Two new subgenera of the genus Xynobius Foerster, 1862, from the Southern Hemisphere are described and illustrated: Paraxynobius (type species Xynobius granulatus spec. nov. from New Zealand), and Sulcynobius (type species X. latisulcus spec. nov. from Sulawesi). One new species of the genus Ademoneuron Fischer, 1988, is added: A. yasirae spec. nov. from Indonesia (Halmahera).

    Description: The genus Histeromerus Wesmael, 1838 (Braconidae: Histeromerinae) is revised and its species are keyed. The type species is redescribed and fully illustrated. The genus Mithotynia Hedqvist, 1976, is a new junior synonym of Histeromerus, and its type species, M. aptera Hedqvist, 1976, a junior synonym of H. mystacinus Wesmael, 1838. Histeromerus canadensis Ashmead, 1891, is for the first time reported from the Palaearctic region. A lectotype is designated for H. mystacinus Wesmael, 1838.

(type species: Campyloneurus aruensis Shenefelt, 1978) from Aru, Arubracon gen. nov. (type species: Bracon basalis Smith, 1859) from Aru, Floralibracon gen. nov. (type species: Bracon floralis Smith, 1857) from Sarawak, and Indabracon gen. nov. (type species: Spinaria trimaculata Cameron, 1900) from India. Keys to the species of Arubracon gen. nov. and of Indabracon gen. nov. are added.

    Description: A review of the known specimens of the tribe Cosmophorini Capek, 1958, from the Palaeotropics is given. Twenty-two species new to science are described and figured in this paper. Up to recently (Shaw, 1985; Chen & van Achterberg, 1997) the tribe was unknown from outside of the Holarctic region. Five Oriental species are included into Sinuatophorus van Achterberg, gen. nov. (type species: Sinuatophorus maximus van Achterberg, spec. nov. from Indonesia). Nine Oriental, two East Palaearctic, two Australian and four Afrotropical new species are included in the genus Cosmophorus Ratzeburg, 1848. A key to the Old World species of the Cosmophorini is added.

    Description: A new genus (Ficobracon gen. nov.; type species: Ficobracon brusi spec. nov.) of the subfamily Braconinae (Hymenoptera; Braconidae) is reported from figs (syconia) of Ficus wassa Roxb. in Papua New Guinea; the new genus is illustrated and described. It is the second genus belonging to the Braconidae reported to live in Ficus-syconia.

    Description: The genera of the subfamilies Betylobraconinae, Hormiinae, Lysiterminae, Pambolinae-Chremylini, and Doryctinae-Ypsistocerini are revised. A key is given to the genera of groups belonging to the cyclostome grade including species with shortened and/or (partly) widened fore tarsus. Sixteen new genera and 62 new species are described and illustrated. The new genera concern: Mannokeraia gen. nov. (type species: M. apterus spec. nov. from Australia), Masona gen. nov. (type species: M. prognatha spec. nov. from U.S.A.), Anachyra gen. nov. (type species: A. setosipes spec. nov. from Australia), Pseudochremylus gen. nov. (type species: P. angulifer spec. nov. from Australia), Chremyloides gen. nov. (type species: C. cardaleae spec. nov. from Australia), Apoavga gen. nov. (type species: Avga cardalei Belokobylskij, 1989, from Australia), Hormiitis gen. nov. (type species: H. brevitarsis spec. nov. from Australia), Rhinoprotoma gen. nov. (type species: R. masneri spec. nov. from New Zealand), Lysitermoides gen. nov. (type species: L. huggerti spec. nov. from Canada), Aulosaphoides gen. nov. The genus Viridipyge Whitfield, 1988, is synonymized with Stiropius Cameron, 1911. A neotype is designated for Bracon moniliatus Nees, 1812. The tribes Canberriini Belokobylskij, 1993, and Austrohormiini Belokobylskij, 1993, are synonymized with Avgini Belokobylskij, 1993; and Chremylomorphini Belokobylskij, 1993, with Cedriina Belokobylskij, 1993. The subtribes Acanthormiina Belokobylskij, 1993, and Tritermina Belokobylskij, 1993, are synonymized with Lysiterminae Tobias, 1968.
