Abstract: The purity evaluation of deionized (DI) water is highly desirable for VLSI or ULSI industry, as the traditional "reverse osmosis filter" cannot always meet the requirement towards the DI water. The filtered DI water may still contain many contaminations which are not up to the standard for the wet cleaning of wafer surface. A novel method is presented by analyzing the residues of a water droplet after the low-temperature evaporation. The contamination contained in the water will remain during the gasification. By analyzing the residual contamination's morphology, the purity of the DI water can be estimated by employing merely a 3D laser microscope. Compared to the traditional fluorescence detecting system for water quality monitoring, it is simpler and has a lower cost. The paper describes an excellent water detection method which is meaningful for preparing ultra-pure water. Experimental results have shown that the deionized distilled (DID) water can repeatedly get a higher purity using this detection method. The DID water can be applied to the wet cleaning of wafer surface, preparation of chemical reagents and many other aspects.

Abstract: We report a systematic study of large-scale growth of high-quality WSe 2 atomic layers directly on SiO 2 /Si substrates using a convenient method. Various parameters, especially growth temperatures, flow rate of carrier gas and tube pressure, are investigated in affecting the properties of as-grown WSe 2 flakes in terms of their sizes, shapes and thickness. The pre-annealing step is demonstrated to be a key role in achieving the large-scale growth. Under an optimized condition, the lateral size of triangular single-crystal monolayer WSe 2 is up to 30 [Formula: see text]m and the area of the monolayer thin film can be up to 0.25 mm 2 . And some other interesting features, such as nanoflowers, are observed, which are a promising for catalyzing research. Raman spectrum and microphotoluminescence indicate distinct layer dependent efficiency. Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) studies demonstrate the atomic concentration of the as-grown WSe 2 . Electrical transport further shows that the [Formula: see text]-type WSe 2 field-effect transistors exhibit excellent electrical properties with carrier mobility of [Formula: see text][Formula: see text] 64 cm[Formula: see text]V[Formula: see text] s[Formula: see text] and current on/off ratio over 10 5 . These results are comparable to the exfoliated materials.

Abstract: In this study, a terahertz dual-band–high-gain, multi-input–multi-output (MIMO) antenna with two and four input ports was realized, with gain values of up to 7.16[Formula: see text]dBi and 6.44[Formula: see text] dBi, respectively. This represents an increase in gain of 102.4% and 81.8%, respectively, compared to single-input port antennas. By calculating and analyzing the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), gain, envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), and diversity gain, the two MIMO antennas achieved perfect impedance matching at their resonance points. Moreover, the interference between the elements of the MIMO antenna was small, and an isolation effect between the units was realized. These MIMO antennas can achieve multiple input signals to regulate the antenna radiation performance and improve signal strength and quality. In addition, they possess good development prospects for achieving high-speed data transmission in the terahertz band and in mobile communication.

Abstract: In this work, we investigate the (2+1)-dimensional generalized Bogoyavlensky–Konopelchenko (gBK) equation. Based on its bilinear form, the [Formula: see text]th-order breather solutions of the gBK equation are successful given by taking appropriate parameters. Furthermore, the [Formula: see text] th-order lump solutions of the gBK equation are obtained via the long-wave limit method. In addition, the semi-rational solutions are generated to reveal the interaction between lump solutions, soliton solutions, and breather solutions.

Abstract: Fluid-mechanics studies are applied in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, oceanography, meteorology and astrophysics. In this paper, we investigate a (2+1)-dimensional extended Kadomtsev–Petviashvili II equation in fluid mechanics. Based on the Hirota bilinear method, we give a bilinear Bäcklund transformation. Via the extended homoclinic test technique, we construct the breather-wave solutions under certain constraints. We obtain the velocities of the breather waves, which depend on the coefficients in that equation. Besides, we derive the lump solutions with the periods of the breather-wave solutions tending to the infinity. Based on the polynomial-expansion method, travelling-wave solutions are constructed. We observe that the shapes of a breather wave and a lump remain unchanged during the propagation. We graphically discuss the effects of those coefficients on the breather wave and lump.

Abstract: GaInAsSb has an important application value in the field of infrared photoelectricity. In this paper, the optical properties of Ga[Formula: see text]In[Formula: see text] As[Formula: see text]Sb[Formula: see text] nanopillar arrays with different shapes are studied by using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The simulation results show that the peaks of all structures occur at 950[Formula: see text]nm to 1100 nm bands and peak up to 97%. Among them, the period and height of the nanopillars and the inclination angle of the incident light will significantly affect the size of the absorption peak of the nanopillars, but not the peak position. However, with the increase of the diameter, the absorption peak of the nanoparticles showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing, and the peak position of the absorption peak showed a significant redshift. In addition, for the triangular prism structure, its absorption rate in the array structure with high duty cycle is higher than 90%, which provides an important reference for the preparation of high-density integrated infrared optical detector.

Abstract: We investigate the thermal entanglement of two-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg XY model in the presence of an external nonuniform magnetic field B along the z-axis. Concurrence, the measure of entanglement is calculated and its property is studied in different cases. Two best models, Ising model under a uniform magnetic and isotropic model in a nonuniform magnetic field, are discovered. In the two models, the critical temperature T c (above which there is no entanglement) can be enhanced and its concurrence is maximal.

Abstract: An external electric field-assisted method is proposed to improve the electron collection capability of InGaN photocathode. We use the diffusion drift equation to calculate the photoemission performance of the nanowire arrays. The results show that nanowire array has better electron collection ability with the aid of external electric field. When the incidence angle is 88 ∘ and 70 ∘ , the quantum efficiency and collection efficiency reach the maximum respectively. When the external electric field is 0.6[Formula: see text]V/[Formula: see text] m, the maximum collection efficiency is 34.2%. Compared with no electric field, the electron collection ratio increased by 69.4%. The external electric field- assisted InGaN photocathode can significantly improve the photoelectric emission performance, which is expected to be realized in future experiments.

Abstract: In this work, MoS 2 was successfully deposited on Ni foam (NF) by a simple one-step electrochemical deposition method. MoS 2 were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). XRD and FESEM results show that MoS 2 is an amorphous film structure. The electrochemical properties of the MoS 2 electrode have been studied in detail via cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic (EIS) technology, respectively. The MoS 2 /NF binder-free electrode provides a special capacitance of 210 F/g at a constant discharge current density of 1 A/g. When the current density increases five times, the specific capacitance can still maintain 51.74% of the initial capacitance. In addition, after 1000 cycles at 3 A/g, the capacitance retention of the MoS 2 electrode still retained 79.4%.

Abstract: Investigation in this paper is the spatially modulated two-component GP system with Rabi coupling in a Bose–Einstein condensate consisting of the two hyperfine states. Based on the Kadomtsev–Petviashvili hierarchy reduction, we derive the Gramian expression of the one- and two-dark–dark soliton solutions. The nonlinearity coefficients [Formula: see text] and the external spatially varying trapping potential [Formula: see text] can be constrained as the functions of [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] is the spatial coordinate, [Formula: see text] is the time coordinate, [Formula: see text] is the dispersion parameter. With the Rabi coupling coefficient [Formula: see text] increasing, period along [Formula: see text] decreases. When [Formula: see text] is a constant, soliton propagates stably with t he amplitude and velocity unvarying; When [Formula: see text] is a function of [Formula: see text] , background is periodic and velocity of the soliton varies with [Formula: see text] increasing. Head-on and overtaking elastic interactions between the two solitons are presented analytically and graphically.
