Abstract: In this paper we study the conformal integrable models obtained from conformal reductions of WZNW theory associated with second order constraints. These models are called bosonic superconformal Toda models due to their conformal spectra and their resemblance to the usual Toda theories. From the reduction procedure we get the equations of motion and the linearlized Lax equations in a generic Z gradation of the underlying Lie algebra. Then, in the special case of principal gradation, we derive the classical r matrix, fundamental Poisson relation, exchange algebra of chiral operators and find out the classical vertex operators. The result shows that our model is very similar to the ordinary Toda theories in that one can obtain various conformal properties of the model from its integrability.

Abstract: We propose and investigate a new conformal invariant integrable field theory called bosonic superconformal affine Toda theory. This theory can be viewed either as the affine generalization of the so-called bosonic superconformal Toda theory studied by the authors sometime earlier, or as the generalization to the case of half-integer conformal weights of the conformal affine Toda theory, and can also be obtained from the Hamiltonian reduction of WZNW theory (with an affine WZNW group). The fundamental Poisson stracture is established in terms of the classical r matrix. Then the exchange algebra for the chiral vectors is obtained as well as the reconstruction formula for the classical solutions. The dressing transformations of the fundamental fields are found explicitly, and the Poisson-Lie structure of the dressing group is also constructed with the aid of classical exchange algebras, which turns out to be the semiclassical limit of the quantum affine group. The conformal breaking orbit of the model is also studied, which is called bosonic super loop Toda theory in the context. In addition, the quantum exchange relation and quantum group symmetry are discussed briefly.

Abstract: We propose and analyze a large class of conformal reductions Cons [g(H, d)] of WZNW theory based on the integral gradations of the underlying Lie algebra g. The W bases of the associated W algebras W[g(H, d)] are constructed under the generalized Drinfeld-Sokolov gauge which we call O’Raifeartaigh gauge of the constrained Kac-Moody currents, and the equations of motion of the extended Toda type integrable systems corresponding to these W algebras are also derived. As an example, we construct explicitly the W algebra associated with the (pqp) block diagonal decomposition of sl 2 p+q , namely W[(pqp) 2 ], and discuss some of the properties thereof.

Abstract: In this paper, we investigated the spin-dependent electron transport in a nonmagnetic nanostructure under the influence of the [Formula: see text]-doping which can be experimentally doped in the nanostructure with metal-organic chemical vapor deposition or molecular beam epitaxy. The numerical results indicate that the large spin polarization nearly 100% can be achieved in such a structure without the external magnetic field due to spin–orbit interactions and it can be controlled not only by the barrier, but also by the [Formula: see text] -doping. These interesting finds are very valuable for designing the [Formula: see text]-doping-tunable spintronic device based on the nonmagnetic nanostructure.

Abstract: We have developed a theoretical model which studies the characteristics of laser-plasma interaction, the effect of plasma shielding and plasma radiation in the ablation process. The model is used to simulate 25 ns square pulsed laser irradiation on YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 targets, and pulsed laser with the pulse width of 25 ns (FWHM) irradiation on Ni targets. The evolution of the plasma length and the transmitted intensity are performed. The model shows the variation of ablation depth with energy density. Moreover, we obtain the dependence of the ablation depth on the number of laser pulses. The satisfactorily good agreement between our results and experimental results confirms that plasma shielding plays a relevant role in the ablation process.

Abstract: Unlike the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM), the lattice Boltzmann flux solver (LBFS) is free from the limitation of uniform meshes, coupled time step and mesh spacing, and high memory cost. Specifically, the existing interface LBFS (LBFS-CH0) is reconstructed by locally applying the Cahn–Hilliard-based (CH-based) LBM with additional artificial terms. In the framework of LBM, the influence of the additional artificial terms has been assessed. Besides, the comparative study of the CH-based and the Allen–Cahn-based (AC-based) LBM shows that the latter has higher accuracy and stability. Though the LBFS is originated from the LBM, their performances may not be exactly the same. In this study, the AC-based and CH-based LBFS (LBFS-AC and LBFS-CH1) models which can accurately recover the phase field equations are developed from the interface LBM models without any additional terms. The gradient term in the LBFS-AC is discretized by the second-order central difference method. Compared with the LBFS-CH0, the LBFS-CH1 can eliminate the additional terms and recover the true CH equation. Then these interface LBFS models are compared to evaluate their performance and the influence of the additional terms. Different from the LBM, it is found that the CH-based LBFS is superior to the AC-based one in terms of the numerical accuracy and stability. In addition, numerical results show that the additional terms have minor effect on the ability to model the phase interface. This study can provide guidance to ensure the accuracy and stability of interface modeling. Taking into account the accuracy, stability and simplicity, we can conclude that the LBFS-CH0 model could be the first choice to simulate the phase interface in the framework of LBFS.
