    Abstract: In this paper, we have developed a scheme to make small size QD (quantum dot) display come true. We will show the structure and principle of QD display in this paper. It is different from QD enhancement film which is used in backlight, our work focus on developing QD color filter. Compared with traditional LCD, the brightness and color purity of QD‐LCD have been greatly improved. In our development projects, the QD Color filter is realized through the lithography process and we got wide color gamut up to 99.2%BT2020 (equal to 132.86%NTSC) in Cd based QD, and 93.6%BT2020 (equal to 125.35%NTSC) in Cd‐free QD. In this paper we focused on the explaining architectural principles used during design and implementation.

    Abstract: Accumulating evidences have shown that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play key roles in many diseases, including cancer. Several studies reported that MCM3AP antisense RNA 1 (MCM3AP‐AS1) was associated with the tumorigenesis and progression. However, the specific function and mechanism of MCM3AP‐AS1 in colorectal cancer (CRC) have not been fully understood. Methods The expression of MCM3AP‐AS1 was detected by quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT‐qPCR) in CRC tissues and matched noncancerous tissues (NCTs). CCK‐8 assay, colony formation assay, transwell assay, xenograft and lung metastasis mouse models were used to examine the tumor‐promoting function of MCM3AP‐AS1 in vitro and in vivo . The binding relationship between MCM3AP‐AS1, miR‐193a‐5p and sentrin‐specific peptidase 1 (SENP1) were screened and identified by databases, RT‐qPCR, dual luciferase reporter assay and western blot. Results In the present study, we got that the expression of MCM3AP‐AS1 was higher in CRC tissues than in paired NCTs, and increased MCM3AP‐AS1 expression was associated with adverse outcomes in CRC patients. Functional experiments in vitro revealed that silencing of MCM3AP‐AS1 could inhibit the proliferation, colony formation, migratory, and invasive abilities of CRC cells. The mouse models of xenograft and lung metastasis further confirmed that in vivo silencing MCM3AP‐AS1 could significantly inhibit the growth and metastasis of CRC. Further mechanism studies indicated that MCM3AP‐AS1 could sponge miR‐193a‐5p and inhibit the activity of it. What is more, SENP1 was proved to be a novel target of miR‐193a‐5p and could be upregulated by MCM3AP‐AS1. At last, we observed that SENP1 overexpression in CRC tissues was closely related to unfavorable prognosis. Conclusion Taken together, we identified in CRC the MCM3AP‐AS1/miR‐193a‐5p/SENP1 regulatory axis, which affords a therapeutic possibility for CRC.

    Abstract: Limbal stem/progenitor cells (LSC) represent the source of corneal epithelium renewal. LSC proliferation and differentiation are essential for corneal homeostasis, however, the regulatory mechanism remains largely unexplored. Here, we performed single‐cell RNA sequencing and discovered proliferation heterogeneity as well as spontaneously differentiated and senescent cell subgroups in multiply passaged primary LSC. Fasciculation and elongation protein zeta 1 (FEZ1) and Dickkopf‐1 (DKK1) were identified as two significant regulators of LSC proliferation and senescence. These two factors were mainly expressed in undifferentiated corneal epithelial cells (CECs). Knocking down the expression of either FEZ1 or DKK1 reduced cell division and caused cell cycle arrest. We observed that DKK1 acted as a downstream target of FEZ1 in LSC and that exogenous DKK1 protein partially prevented growth arrest and senescence upon FEZ1 suppression in vitro. In a mouse model of corneal injury, DKK1 also rescued the corneal epithelium after recovery was inhibited by FEZ1 suppression. Hence, the FEZ1–DKK1 axis was required for CEC proliferation and the juvenile state and can potentially be targeted as a therapeutic strategy for promoting recovery after corneal injury.

    Abstract: Whether an innervated reverse digital artery island flap is superior to a non‐innervated reverse digital artery island flap still remains controversial. We aimed to compare the clinical outcomes of the two flaps in repairing finger pulp soft tissue defects. Methods Medical records of patients who underwent finger pulp reconstruction between January 2007 and December 2017 were evaluated retrospectively. A total of 45 patients were included. Twenty underwent sensory nerve reconstruction with cutaneous branches of the proper digital nerve, and 25 underwent the surgery without sensory nerve reconstruction. Surgical results, complications and sensory function were collected for analysis. Sensory function was assessed by static two‐point discrimination and the modified sensory evaluation standard of British Medical Research Council. Results The average operation time of innervated flaps was 23 min longer than non‐innervated flaps. All 45 flaps survived completely. There was no significant difference in complications between groups. The average follow‐up was 22 months. At the final follow‐up, five non‐innervated flaps had no recovery of static two‐point discrimination. The average static two‐point discrimination of the remaining 20 non‐innervated flaps was larger than that of innervated flaps. Innervated flaps consistently achieved higher sensory function grades according to the modified sensory evaluation standard of British Medical Research Council. Conclusion An innervated reverse digital artery island flap can achieve better sensory function recovery in a shorter time. This procedure did not increase the incidence of complications, although it extended the operation time. It has proven to be a good technique for finger pulp reconstruction.

    Abstract: Atomically modified graphitic carbon nitride quantum dots (QDs), characterized by strongly increased reactivity and stability, are developed. These are deposited on arrays of TiO 2 nanopillars used as a photoanode for the photoelectrochemical water splitting. This photoanode shows excellent stability, with 111 h of continuous work without any performance loss, which outperforms the best‐reported results by a factor of 10. Remarkably, our photoanode produces hydrogen even at zero bias. The excellent performance is attributed to the enhancement of photoabsorption, as well as to the promotion of charge separation between TiO 2 nanopillars and the QDs.

    Abstract: The effects of ultrasound on the hydrodynamic and mass transfer behaviors of immiscible liquid–liquid two‐phase flow was investigated in a domestic ultrasonic microreactor. Under ultrasonic irradiation, cavitation bubble was generated and underwent violent oscillation. Emulsification of immiscible phases was initiated by virtue of oscillating bubbles shuttling through the water/oil interface. The pressure drop was found to decrease with increasing ultrasound power, with a maximum decrement ratio of 12% obtained at power 30 W. The mass transfer behavior was characterized by extraction of Rhodamine B from water to 1‐octanol. An enhancement factor of 1.3–2.2 on the overall mass‐transfer coefficient was achieved under sonication. The mass transfer performance was comparable to passive microreactor at similar energy dissipation rate (61–184 W/kg). The extraction equilibrium was reached under a total flow velocity 0.01 m/s and input power 20 and 30 W, exhibiting its potential use in liquid‐liquid extraction process. © 2017 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J , 64: 1412–1423, 2018

    Abstract: Glutathione peroxidase (GPx) plays an important role in maintaining the reactive oxygen metabolic balance, yet limited GPx‐mimicking nanozymes are currently available for in vivo therapy. Herein, a ligand engineering strategy is developed to modulate the GPx‐mimicking activity of a metal–organic framework (MOF) nanozyme. With different substituted ligands, the GPx‐mimicking activities of MIL‐47(V)‐X (MIL stands for Materials of Institute Lavoisier; X=F, Br, NH 2 , CH 3 , OH, and H) MOFs are rationally regulated. With the best one as an example, both in vitro and in vivo experiments reveal the excellent antioxidation ability of MIL‐47(V)‐NH 2 , which alleviates the inflammatory response effectively for both ear injury and colitis, and is more active than MIL‐47(V). This study proves that high‐performance GPx‐mimicking nanozymes can be rationally designed by a ligand engineering strategy, and that structure–activity relationships can direct the in vivo therapy. This study enriches nanozyme research and expands the range of biomimetic MOFs.

    Abstract: Left atrial (LA) strain is associated with structural remodeling of the LA. Whether there is an association between LA strain obtained by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and new‐onset atrial fibrillation (AF) after ST‐segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is unclear. Purpose To investigate the relationship between LA strain and new‐onset AF after STEMI. Study Type Retrospective. Population Three hundred and seventy‐nine STEMI patients were enrolled, of which 26 had new‐onset AF. Field Strength/Sequence 3.0 T, balanced turbo field echo sequence. Assessment Patients were divided into w/o AF group and new‐onset AF group. Cardiac MRI images were analyzed using cardiovascular imaging software CVI 42 (Circle Cardiovascular Imaging, Canada). An automatic tracing algorithm was applied to obtain strain values. The reservoir strain, conduit strain, and booster strain were included in model 1, model 2, and model 3, respectively. Statistical Tests Student's t ‐test, Mann–Whiney U test, and chi‐square test were performed. Variables with a P  ≤ 0.05 were incorporated into the logistic regression analysis. Area under curve of receiver operating characteristic was used to assess the ability of LA strain to identify new‐onset AF. Bayesian information criterion, Akaike information criterion, and C‐index were used to make comparisons between three models. P   〈  0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results Three models were used to assess LA strain identification ability for new‐onset AF. After including multiple factors, right coronary artery (RCA), LVEF, and reservoir strain were still risk factors for new‐onset AF in model 1. In model 2, age, RCA, LVEF, and conduit strain were still risk factors for new‐onset AF. In model 3, RCA, LVEF, LVEDVi, and booster strain were still risk factors for new‐onset AF. Model 2 has a stronger identification ability than others. Data Conclusion LA strain associated with new‐onset AF after STEMI. The model including conduit strain was the best‐fit one.     Abstract: Natural rubber–silica [W(NR–SiO 2 )] composites were prepared by wet‐compounding technology with liquid natural rubber (LNR) as a compatibilizer. The effects of the LNR content and wet‐compounding technology on the filler dispersion, Payne effect, curing characteristics, mechanical properties, and interfacial interactions were investigated. The results show that the incorporation of LNR promoted vulcanization and decreased the Payne effect of the W(NR–SiO 2 ) composites. With the addition of 5 phr LNR, the remarkable improvements in the mechanical properties of the W(NR–SiO 2 ) vulcanizates were correlated with the improved silica dispersion and strengthened interfacial bonding. Furthermore, the W(NR–SiO 2 ) vulcanizates containing LNR exhibited improvements in both the wet‐skid resistance and rolling‐resistance performance. The interfacial interactions, quantitatively evaluated by the Mooney–Rivlin equation and Lorenz–Park equation on the basis of the rubber elasticity and reinforcement theory, were strengthened in the presence of LNR. Accordingly, an interfacial structural model was proposed to illustrate the improvements in the mechanical properties of the W(NR–SiO 2 ) composites. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym.
