Abstract: This study describes clinical and subclinical features of 30 patients with airway foreign body at the Endoscopy Department, National Otorhinolaryngology Hospital of Vietnam from August 2018 to February 2020. The study results show that airway foreign body was commonly found in patients aged over 18 (43.33%); male-female ratio was 1.7:1; cough and shortness of breath were two common symptoms with 96.67% and 73.33%, respectively; penetration syndrome was the common clinical symptom with 93.33%; 20% of the airway foreign body cases were detected by X-ray; 100% of the airway foreign body cases were diagnosed by endoscopy; 53.33% of the cases were cured in one day; and 93.33% of the cases showed good treatment results. The study concludes that airway foreign bodies can be detected in all ages with more men than women; penetration syndrome with cough and shortness of breath suggests symptoms of airway foreign bodies; and endoscopy of bronchial airways is the leading method to diagnose and remove airway foreign bodies. Abstract: Abstract: The expansion of perennial crops area plays an important role for supporting the human livelihood in the Central Highlands, so have negative impacts on deforestation and sustainable development. Remote sensing and GIS were used to analyze the trajectories of perennial crops cover change in relationship with deforestation. The Logistic regression models were used to analyze proximate reasons and spatial changing determinants of main land cover changes for the period 2004-2016 of Bảo Lâm district. The result show that the perennial crops changes are indicator for deforestation in Bảo Lâm district with high deforestation rate 0,8% per year caused by the expansion of annual crops, blind area and the expansion of perennial crops. The facile accessed forest and suitable forest area for perennial crops have more destroyed. The trajectories of perennial crops and forest cover changes are important scientific towards sustainable development.

Abstract: Conamomum pierreanum (Gagnep.) Skornick. & A. D. Poulsen, (Zingiberaceae), a previously known species from Thailand and Cambodia, is here reported, as a new record for Vietnam. It is similar to C. rubidum and C. odorum but differs in having a present stilt root; a shorter petiole, 2-3 cm; a larger leaf blade, oblong, 30-50 × 5-8 cm, glabrous; a globose to ovoid inflorescence, arising near the base of rhizome; tomentose outer surface of bract; a 3-toothed bracteole, outer surface hairy; and a smaller filament, yellowish and glabrous. The detailed morphological description, distribution and ecology information, conservation status and a colour plate of this species are given.

Abstract: Machine learning applies predominantly to the classification of the satellite images, aerial photo, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) data, point clouds with considerable achievements. However, the dynamic and complex structures of land surface prevent accurate land cover segregation through built-in models, and there is a crucial need to investigate novel ones. This study integrates Catboost into a Convolutional neural network for land cover classification from UAV images, with a case study in Hanoi. The combination of these images and Digital surface model to form the input datasets. The results show that the overall accuracy reaches 91,5%, which is relatively higher than other comparing methods. The proposal model can be used as an alternative method for land cover classification.

Abstract: Tourism is one of the smokeless industries that has been developing rapidly, opening up many job opportunities as well as socio-economic development for many countries around the world. In Vietnam, the role of the tourism industry in the development of the country has been well recognized and has received early investment attention from the Party and the State. Quang Binh is a central province of Vietnam blessed with many natural beauty, historical sites, which is also a place attracting many tourists from all over the world. However, the management of tourist site information as well as the promotion of tourism support of Quang Binh province is still inadequate. Tourists still have to rely on maps, guidebooks, through word of mouth or experience or travel companies to determine travel schedules leading to failure to meet their own requirements. Base on powerful of the Internet and digital mapping technology, the authors have conducted research to build a Web site that supports automated travel schedules to assist domestic and foreign tourists, support development and increase competitiveness for tourism in Quang Binh province.

Abstract: Cloud detection is a significant task in optical remote sensing to reconstruct the contaminated cloud area from multi-temporal satellite images. Besides, the rapid development of machine learning techniques, especially deep learning algorithms, can detect clouds over a large area in optical remote sensing data. In this study, the method based on the proposed deep-learning method called ODC-Cloud, which was built on convolutional blocks and integrating with the Open Data Cube (ODC) platform. The results showed that our proposed model achieved an overall 90% accuracy in detecting cloud in Landsat 8 OLI imagery and successfully integrated with the ODC to perform multi-scale and multi-temporal analysis. This is a pioneer study in techniques of storing and analyzing big optical remote sensing data.

Abstract: Teaching and scientific research are two main tasks that interact which help university lecturers improve their capacities and abilities in order to integrate with the scientific flow of the country, the region as well as the world. By approaching the data science, accurate assessments of the quantity, quality, and relationship between lecturers' scientific publications has been modeled based on published scientific data of the lecturers of University of Education in period 2010-2019. Techniques of data preparation, data analysis and data modeling were initially applied in the case of research as the system of published scientific data which has not been yet synchronized. These analytical results can be used as a basis for management levels, policy makers, and the process of developing scientific and technological capacity of officials and lecturers in the University

Abstract: Quaternary sediments in the Binh Tri Thien coastal zone are diverse in both material composition and development history. From land to sea, there are 4 structural regions: i) marginal plain region; ii) Coastal lagoon region; iii) Coastal sand dunes region; and iv) Monocline coastal subsidence region. In the vertical direction, all four regions have five sedimentary cycles as follows: a) Early Pleistocene (Q11); b) Early middle Pleistocene (Q12a); c) Late middle Pleistocene (Q12b); d) Early late Pleistocene (Q13a); e) Late late Pleistocene (Q13b-Q2). Four structural zones are characterized by different lithofacies complexes: 1) In the lowstand systems tract (LST) at the beginning of each cycle in all 4 structural zones, the SmaLST facies complex is present; 2) In the transgressive systems tract (TST), there are the following lithofacies complexes: a) region I: MsbTST; b) region II: MlgTST; c) region III: SmTST; d) region IV: Msam,mTST; 3) In the highstand systems tract (HST) there are the following facies complexes: a) Region I: (MsabHST); b) Region II: MslgHST; c) Region III: SmvHST; d) Region IV: SmmHST. The difference in sedimentary facies in the transgressive and highstand systems tract depends on the differentiation of four geological structure regions.

Abstract: Adaptive Neuro-Inference system (Anfis) has been widely used in recent studies aiming at generating probabilities of unseen data in binary classification application. It is normally used in combination with optimization algorithms for tuning its parameters to generate optimal objective values. This study proposed a novel method using Simulated Annealing to improve Anfis performance. Malaria occurrences and spatial variation of environmental, socio-economic factors in Daknong province, Vietnam were selected for case study. For accuracy assessment, Receiver Operating Characteristic curve, Cost curve were used and the predicted map was compared to several benchmark classifiers. The results showed that the S-Anfis (AUC = 0.912, RMSE =0.335) outperformed Support Vector Machine (AUC = 0.902, RMSE =0.364), Multiple LayerPerceptron (AUC = 0.868, RMSE =0.430). Although, the performance of S-Anfis depended on proper selection of input factors and geographic variations of those, we concluded that this method could be an alternative in mapping susceptibility of malaria.
