Abstract: Femtosecond laser with the features of ultrashort pulse duration and ultrahigh peak power can achieve “cold” machining. The recast layer and micro-cracks of the hole wall can be ruduced effectively by applying femtosecond laser in processing air-film holes on turbine blades, and the machining accuracy and consistency of the hole shape will increase. In this paper, the high-speed rotating femtosecond laser beam is adopted in several currently used turbine blade materials for air-film holes machining, and high quality air-film holes without hole wall recast layer and micro-cracks are processed through a large number of experiments to optimize machining technology and technological parameter.

Abstract: Abstract: Composite materials are playing a greater role in engineering application due to their optimized structure and mechanical characteristics. Study here aims at composite design which enables the fabricated composite to have excellent mechanical behavior even in extremely corrosive environment, for example, environment with extremely high ozone gas concentration. To take advantage of the great anticorrosion property of pure aluminum (Al), PET thin film coated with pure aluminum (Al) on its surface has been introduced as the top layer of the fabricated composite with polyester textile as the middle layer. To bond these layers together, the composites with this sandwiched structure are manufactured at different temperature. Main purpose of the study is to evaluate the influence of processing temperatures on the mechanical properties of the manufactured composites, and on their failure behavior. In this way, optimized processing temperature may be found.

Abstract: Composite, with both sides deposited by pure aluminum (Al) thin films to improve its anti-corrosion properties, is designed and fabricated in this study through thermo-mechanical processing techniques. Manufactured composite here mainly consists of polyester textile and PET thin films. Mechanical tests are carried out to study the dynamic mechanical behaviors of the fabricated composites under various loading rates. Our works reveal that proper bonding material and appropriate processing are key and essential in order to fully make use of the excellent mechanical properties of polyester textile in the composite.

Abstract: In the subsurface damage observations on the wear behavior of brittle dental porcelains, it still remains unsolved that how to distinguish the cracks that develops accidentally during the preparing sample process from those actually produced in the tests. In the sliding friction tests, the bonded-interface technique (BIT) was successfully used for subsurface damage evaluations. The profile of wear scar was easily observed on the cemented section of the blocks without inducing any cracks. The stresses on the surface and internal of dental porcelains were calculated with the contact element method (CEM) by ABAQUS software. The model of rectangular dental porcelain and Si3N4 ball were developed based on sliding friction tests. The Si3N4 ball modeled in this study was of the diameter of 4mm and 12 mm. The size of Vita VMK 95 porcelain blocks was 5 mm wide, 2 mm thick and 15 mm long. The glue layer thickness values are 10 .m, 20 .m and 30 .m. The loading of the Si3N4 ball was modeled as a constant distributed vertical load applied across the bonding line of the porcelain. Stresses and displacements of all nodes of the model, especially at the bonding interface, were analyzed and compared. The results of the study indicated that stress values correlated strongly to the applied loads. Stress distribution was symmetric about the bonded-interface plane. The maximum occurred in surface layer and the minimum on the bottom line in the porcelain blocks. Along the interface, stresses decreased with the distance from the surface of porcelain. On the other hand, high stresses focus on the surface part and go sharply down in the internal region along the depth direction. Among the parameters of sliding test on the stresses, the load effect is prominent. The BIT model experiences a different, non-axisymmetric stress field than that of real work-piece. So the BIT should not be considered as a reliable source of quantitative analysis but as a qualitative method for observing the form of the damage modes with more visible information than the conventional tools.

Abstract: After form a removal concrete cross ribbed beam floor in a commercial plaza, the vertical cracks are discovered, and the settlement analysis and reinforcement of a Cast-in-situ concrete floor are performed. The detection of the maximum crack is 0.3mm,and the Maximum settlement of cross ribbed beam is 48mm. By theoretical analysis, improper form removal during construction stage makes the actual floor force inconsistent with the design of a load transfer, which is the main reason of the excessive settlement in the cross ribbed beam. Through the economy, ease of handling in construction and other aspects of comparative analyses, the close beam side by epoxy grout and paste the carbon fiber under the beam to reinforce the cross ribbed beam. After reinforcement, no defect is discovered in the project so far.

Abstract: Most of resource-based cities (RBC) are the result of resource-based industrialization processes and were built on mining areas, leading to heterogeneous composition and distribution of urban areas which were lacking of proper urban planning guidance. The unique urbanization processes in RBC resulted in severe fragmentation of habitats and environmental exacerbation and generated negative impacts to human well-being. In this research, an assessment model based on ecological footprint (EF) and ecological carrying capacity (EC) was used to detect the trend of urbanization in Tangshan city. In this model, we created four new indicators which could enrich EF and EC with economic and social dimensions, and categorized six types of ecological footprints into three main kinds of ecological footprints. The results indicated that (a) the EF per capita and the EC per capita have had enormous increment and decrement respectively; (b) ecological tension and ecological occupancy presented a constant increasing trend while the ecological sustainability was continuously decreasing in this period; and (c) almost all of the six indicators were in an unbalanced status in the comprehensive grading system worldwide. We suggest that (a) a diversified energy consumption structure and an energy-saving urban system should be accomplished in the future urban regulation; (b) any shrinkage of fisheries should be avoided in the future urban regulation, and coastal protection and offshore fishing should be prioritized.

Abstract: In this paper, PLCC lead free solder joint’s thermal fatigue lifetime is analyzed by using the Response Surface Methodology, combined with solder joint’s shape prediction and finite element simulation. Three key solder joint’s process parameters, pad length, gap height and solder paste’s volume are chosen to build an orthogonal array , 25 PLCC lead free SAC305 solder joint’s models with different parameters combination are built in Surface Evolver to predict the solder joint’s shape. Then the PLCC device’s surface shape models in Surface Evolver are converted to three-dimensional finite element models by using a special method. Thermal analyses give the distribution and the change of thermal stress and strain, which show the dangerous solder joint in the whole PLCC device and position with weak thermal reliability in single solder joint. Furthermore, the PLCC solder joints’ thermal fatigue lifetime are calculated with the modified Coffin-Manson equation, and the series of thermal fatigue lifetime data are processed by the Response Surface Methodology. Regression equation between thermal fatigue lifetime and the three key factors is concluded. With the solder joint’s influencing rule on thermal fatigue lifetime and the solder joint’s process parameter combination belong to the highest thermal fatigue lifetime, assembly process of PLCC is improved and then enhance the PLCC solder joint’s reliability.

Abstract: A complex of Eu(Ⅲ), HTTA and TPPO was synthesized in alcohol (HTTA= 2-Thenoyltrifluoroacetone and TPPO=Triphenyl phosphine oxide )and its corresponding single crystal was obtained. The complex was characterized by IR,UV, X-ray single crystal diffraction. The photoluminescent and electroluminescent properties of the complex were studied. The results showed that the spectra structure characterization is consistent with that of single-crystal diffraction. The complex exhibited ligand-sensitized red emission, and it has higher sensitized luminescent efficiency and good thermal stability. In device ITO/PVK/ Eu(TTA)3(TPPO)2/Al, Eu3+ may be excited by intramolecular energy transfer from ligand as observed by electroluminescence. The main emitting peak at 614 nm can be attributed to the europium of 5 D 0 → 7 F 2 of Eu 3+ ion and this process results in the enhancement of red emission from electroluminescence device. The present study may be important and helpful for the development of red color rare earth display applications.

Abstract: The numerical simulation of the effects of regulation projects is presented through the discussion of: (a) the influenceingf actors of fairway conditions; (b) the plan of channel alignment works; (c) the establishment of a 2D numerical model; (d) the numerical simulation of the effects of regulation works. Base on measured data in recently years, Periodically erosion and deposition of Tianxingzhou head bench (THB) was determined as the key factor of navigation conditions. The navigation width would increase if THB maintain high and large morphology. Reflecting on the erosion trends of THB, pavement works with the main patterns of fishbone- bench protection belt to prevent the sand bar from erosion are proposed. The type of projects is fishbone- bench protection belt. The effects of regulation projects is predicted by using a 2D low-sediment mathematical model, which is verified by measured water and sediment data. With the mathematical model, the channel fluvial process and navigation development trend after the implementation of regulation projects in the next decade are simulated. THB maintain high level and integral morphology, which also guarantee good waterway conditions.

Abstract: This paper presents an improved RFID anti-collision algorithm, which is on the basis of the bit-locking backoff anti-collision algorithm. A method of sending 2 bits length collision information,is used in the recognition process. The reader determines whether the quadtree strategy is adopted according to the collision information of the “00”,“01”,“10”,“11”, effectively reducing the null operations. The proposed algorithm is analyzed carefully in account, transmission delay and throughput of the system. Simulation results show that the improved algorithm have better performance compared with the same class of anti-collision algorithm, which is more suitable for multi-tab environment.
