Abstract: Subtle fault zones are caused by the weak deformation generated in the sedimentary cover of a sag due to the influence of regional or local stress fields or basement faults. They are too subtle to be easily identified by conventional exploration methods and technologies and are thus usually ignored. Research results prove that there are two basement faults in the Jinhu sag referred to as the NE-and NW-trending basement faults. Parts of the NE-trending basement fault are intense enough to control sag formation and evolution (such as the faults in Yangcun and Shigang, etc. ). However, the NW-trending and the rest of the NE-trending basement faults show weak activity and exert little influence on sedimentary cover deformation. These faults merely yield some weakly-deformed trend zones in the sedimentary cover, such as small en-echelon faults, small faults intermittently distributed along fixed directions, buried alluvial fans, zonal or stringy oil-gas traps, or linear structures (such as local folds, narrow and deep half-grabens, etc. ). Apart from the two aforementioned types of subtle fault zones, intermittent and stringy NS-trending subtle fault zones are also induced by the EW-trending extrusion stress component in the sag generated by the regional dextral stress field. Keywords: Jinhu sag; basement faults; subtle fault zones; tectonic evolution; en-echelon; trap distribution

Abstract: The characteristics of soft clay roadbed settlement prediction model are studied in this paper. Firstly, based on one-dimension soil consolidation theory, the shape of time-dependent settlement process curve was analysed. Then, Mathematical analysis of traditional settlement models, including Gompertz model and Logistic model, was conducted, and the mathematical deficiency of above two traditional models were pointed out, which the settlement corresponding to inflection point has a constant ratio to the ultimate settlement. Further, Weibull model was proposed to describe the time-dependent settlement process of roadbed. This proposed model overcomes the deficiency of above two traditional models, and exponent model is one of its degraded expressions. Moreover, it can predict the total settlement processes of both the instantaneous load and the ramp load conditions. Finally, according to a group settlement observation data, the prediction results of different models are compared, and Weibull model has a good agreements.

Abstract: Load sharing metal lined composite pressure vessel(COPV) enables significant safety and reliability over those vessels with non-load-sharing metallic or non-metallic liners, The key technical challenge in developing these vessels will be to calculate the optimized liner thickness and liner elastic strain. This paper presents techniques developed at Lanzhou Institute of Physics(LIP) for the design of elastically operating metal liner COPV in terms of NET theory which modified by LIP. Five metal materials are discussed and analytical techniques for determining liner thickness are presented, selection of materials for maximizing performance and minimizing weight is discussed. L490A-COPV development is introduced, performance factor is improved from 23 Km to 29.5Km.

Abstract: Using the Fluent software, the flow field of oxidation ditch was simulated by the three dimensional turbulence mathematical model. The velocities were analyzed and measured, and the simulation results showed acceptable prediction of the velocities in the oxidation ditch. The results also showed that velocity could reach more than 0.3m/s when 8 impellers worked, and MLSS in the whole ditch were almost uniform, therefore, the oxidation ditch runs well.

Abstract: In order to remove the malodorous pollutants of total reduced sulfur (TRS) produced by kraft pulp mill, the experimental device was designed to remove the TRS gases in accordance with the principle of ClO 2 oxidizing TRS gases. After ClO 2 oxidizes TRS gases, the substances produced are absorbed by lye, which achieve the purpose of removing TRS gases. At the same time, these alkali absorber can be reused to the sulfur cycle of kraft pulp mills. With the self-designed experiment apparatus, the removal rate of H 2 S and CH 3 SH are 99.40% and 99.8% respectively, the concentration of H 2 S reduces from 1.275g/m 3 to 0.137mg/m 3 , the concentration of CH 3 SH reduces from 1.457g/m 3 to 0.032 mg/m 3 , which both reach national grade iii emission standards.

Abstract: In this paper, 0.05 grade three-phase main control system of multi-station meter testing equipment (MTE) is presented. This design is based on the S3C2440 core board as the control core, and the software is based on Windows CE(WINCE) embedded operating system. The device is displayed and controlled by 7-inch Touch Screen. The main control system communicate with the error instrument and PC through Controller Area Network (CAN) bus, and the largest number of error instruments can connect to CAN bus is 100. The main control system communicates through RS232 bus with three-phase signal source and standard electric energy meter, through RS485 bus with programmable power amplifier. In this device, calibration of energy meters can not only through the PC software, but also use the main control system. Compared to the traditional design of the electric energy meter calibration device, the design’s the man-machine interface is more optimized, the number of electric energy meters can be test in the same time is more, faster communication, stronger anti-interference ability, and calibration is more efficiency.

Abstract: Molybdenum has many prominent properties, such as high melting point, good thermal properties, and low erosion rate and so on, which make it promising candidate materials for plasma facing materials in the next fusion reactor. In this paper, Molybdenum coatings were deposited onto the oxygen-free copper substrates by atmospheric plasma spraying. The spraying parameters had been carefully selected. Different interlayers were induced between the substrate and the coating. SEM and XRD were used to investigate the photographs and compositions of these coatings. The micro-hardness and bonding strength were also tested. Thermal behaviors of the coatings were evaluated by thermal shock tests. The coatings with interlayers showed better resistance of thermal shock but lower bonding strength compared to coatings that without interlayers.

Abstract: This paper reports some new progresses on layered and graded coatings for plasma facing materials in fusion devices in Laboratory of Special Ceramics and Powder Metallurgy (LSCPM), University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), China. They included tungsten coatings made be various particle sizes of initial feedstock and interlayers and boron carbide graded coatings. All the coatings were fabricated on the oxygen free copper by plasma spraying. The microstructures and properties were investigated for PFM. Water quenching and high heat loading experiments were also carried out to estimate the thermal performance of these coatings.

Abstract: Molybdenum has many prominent properties, such as high melting point, good thermal properties, low erosion rate and so on, which make it promising candidate materials for plasma facing materials in the next fusion reactor. In the present work, molybdenum coatings were deposited onto the oxygen-free copper substrates by atmospheric plasma spraying. Different interlayers were introduced between the coatings and substrates. SEM, EDS and XRD were used to investigate the photographs and compositions of these coatings. The bonding strength of the coatings was tested to investigate the effect of interlayers on adhesion of the coatings at room temperature and it was found that the coating without interlayers showed the highest bonding strength. Water quenching method was used to evaluate the adhesion of the coatings under thermal cycling conditions and the results showed that the molybdenum coating with two interlayers possessed of the highest resistance of thermal cycling wrack.
