Abstract: The adsorption behavior of methyl orange aqueous solution was investigated on husk-based activated carbon. The effects of key factors, i.e., degassing pretreatment, adsorption time, temperature, adsorbent dosage and initial concentration, on the adsorption efficiency were measured. The kinetic adsorption curves and adsorption isotherms were fitted with theoretical model. The results show that the removal efficiency of methyl orange could be significantly improved by degassing pretreatment, prolonging the time, lowering temperature or reducing the initial concentration. In the context, adsorption equilibrium will be achieved up 90min. Furthermore, adsorption rate will be enhanced by the increase of the amount of activated carbon. In conclusion, adsorption isotherm and adsorption kinetics can be fitted well with Freundlich equation and pseudo-first Lagergren model, respectively.

Abstract: Pyramid shaped pyrolysis flame is a new method for carbon nanotubes (CNTs) synthesis. Oxy-acetylene flame was used as the source of heat, CO as the source of carbon, iron pentacarbonyl (Fe(CO)5) as the source of catalyst precursor. Field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM), High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) and Raman spectra were used to illustrate the results of experimental. In this experimental, coating substrate is not a special process, but a part of sampling. In the first 60s of sampling time, there were not CNTs synthesis, only the phase that substrate coats particles and temperature rise, so in this phase, catalyst particles formed. 304 stainless steel plate, monocrystalline silicon chip, and brass plate were used as substrates to synthesize CNTs. 304 stainless steel plate could gain straight, long, and uniform CNTs, monocrystalline silicon chip gain curly and short CNTS, while brass gain nothing but particles. Although single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) were not observed by SEM and TEM, it was successfully done by Raman spectra, in spite of the yield was small.

Abstract: According to the analysis on the vibration data of gear and bearing, which are collected during they failed on IGB and TGB bench test of helicopter, the vibration characteristic of the failures are concluded in each phase such as occurrence, extending and alarm. So the diagnoses technique is searched for judging whether the gear and bearing are failed by monitoring the vibration data. This diagnoses technique is substantiated during the following test. The test demonstrates that this method can monitor the failure in advance comparing with the traditional method by chip detector. It can avoid the failure extending, decrease the damage on the test part effectively and ensure the safety of the test. This diagnoses technique can be applied widely for the test of gearbox.

Abstract: Pyramid sharped pyrolysis flame is a new method for carbon nanotubes synthesis. Oxy-acetylene flame outside the frustum of pyramid sharped reactor provides the necessary high temperature environment, while CO is used as the source of carbon, iron pentacarbonyl (Fe(CO)5) as the source of catalyst precursor in reactor. Inside, the mixture of CO, H2, and Fe(CO)5 will burn incompletely after initial reaction under high temperature. Immerging a sampling substrate into the incomplete burning flame can gain carbon nanotubes. Field emission scanning electron microscope and High resolution transmission electron microscopy were used to illustrate the results of experimental. By adjusting the distance between the oxy-acetylene flame jet and the synthesis zone, the purpose that only changing one factor of synthesis or pyrolysis temperature while the other one constant was achieved, then respectively studied the effects of them on experimental. The best synthesis temperature in experimental is about 590°C and pyrolysis temperature is about 1000°C. Effects of sampling time were also studied. 300s is economic for carbon nanotubes synthesis. Synthesis process of carbon nanotubes was discussed starting from the sampling time. The first 60s is the time for the temperature rise of sampling substrate. After the decalescence and thermal dissipation of substrate is balance, the temperature of substrate is fixed, and the main synthesis phase of carbon nanotubes begin.

Abstract: High molecular weight lignosulfonate was oxidatively degrdadated into lower molecular weight fractions, the resulting components were conducted to formulate resol resin with phenol and formaldehyde in an alkaline condition, in which 50% phenol was substituted. The modified resol resin was successfully applied to prepare phenolic foam using appropriate combinations of flowing agents. N-pentane was found to be suitable as the foaming agent. Sulphuric acid (50% aqueous solution, w/w) and Tween-80 were used as catalyst and surfactant, respectively. The obtained foams showed satisfactory mechanical properties and excellent uniform cells, which can comply with the required specifications for its practical utilization.

Abstract: Now carbon steel is used in the engineering aspects and it is the oldest and the largest amount of basic materials. How to determine whether they are high-quality carbon steel? In this paper the standard data of high quality carbon steel by using the classical BP neural network algorithm is researched. Then it is simulated and predicted. The final comprehensive evaluation and analysis show that the neural network model can be used to decide whether it is a high quality carbon steel. Further, it has a good practical application value for utilizing high-quality carbon steel rationally.

Abstract: Detecting circuit consists of both a sensing circuit and a compensating circuit. Using digital amplification and filtration, detected signals were input to SCM with high-accuracy data acquisition. SMC substituted for a sensing circuit and a compensating circuit, an integration of design of structure was achieved. Volume of sensor is diminished obviously. Simultaneously, zero drift is decreased under ensuring high sensitivity and resolution ratio. Integrated design also enlarges the range of work temperature, and reduces cost of products.

Abstract: Optimal design of sensitive structure in gas pendulum tilt sensor was discussed. Using ANSYS software, fluid fields produced by heat source of the sensor in center were simulated. According simulated temperature field which is the key sensitive factor of the tilt sensor, optimal design of sensitive structure was discussed further. The results show that sensitivity of sensor is better when the distance between sensor wire and heat source is 0.2 R or 0.3R (R is radius of chamber). In respect to vertical place, experiment and theory show sensor has better sensitivity and linearity when installing angle is 60 ̊ while the horizontal distance between sensor wire and heat source is 0.3R.

Abstract: ImageJ is an open source image processing and analysis platform developed with Java. It can be applied to the analysis of clinical and scientific image effectively. A group of adult SD rat cardiac myocytes image using two-photon excitation fluorescence (TPEF) polarization imaging system is processed with ImageJ: 1)To achieve a panoramic display of the cardiomyocytes, we adopt 3D Viewer plugin to construct the 3D model; 2)Then, cutting the myocardial cell in any directions allows ones to observe the cell’s internal structure; 3) With the following image processing, contrast enhancement, noise reduction, threshold segmentation, clear boundary of the object is presented; 4) Region of interest (ROI) of each slice is then calculated. The entire volume of the myocardial cell is accumulation of the product of area and scan step. The physical volume of the myocardial cell can be calculated with the relationship of physical unit and image pixel, such as pixels-per-inch (ppi).

Abstract: Pyramid shaped pyrolysis flame is a new method for carbon nanofibes (CNFs) synthesis. Oxy-acetylene flame outside the frustum of pyramid shaped reactor provides the necessary high temperature environment, while CO is used as the source of carbon, iron pentacarbonyl (Fe(CO)5) as the source of catalyst precursor in reactor. Inside, the mixture of CO, H2, and Fe(CO)5 will burn incompletely after initial reaction under high temperature. Inserting a sampling substrate into the incomplete burning flame can gain CNFs. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) was used to illustrate the results of experimental. By adjusting the distance between the oxy-acetylene flame jet and the synthesis zone, studied the effects of pyrolysis and synthesis temperature. The preferable pyrolysis temperature in experimental is about 693°C while the synthesis temperature is about 595°C, and preferable synthesis temperature is about 535°C while pyrolysis temperature is about 1000°C. It can be also concluded that when the synthesis temperature is high (595°C, comparing with 535°C), preferable pyrolysis temperature is low (693°C, comparing with 1000°C), vice versa. Effects of sampling substrate were also studied. Using 304 stainless steel wire as sampling substrate can not gain CNFs, while 201 stainless steel plate can gain straight and uniform, and silicon chip can gain curly ones.
