    Abstract: In this paper, the characteristics of shape memory alloy (SMA) valveless micro-pump and its work principles are introduced at first. Based on the flow property of diffusion and shrinkage elements, the theory analysis is developed for a valveless micropump, and the flow distribution and pressure variation curve are then achieved with Matlab. Meanwhile, the finite model of the valveless micropump is built by using the ANSYS/FLOTRAN CFD finite element software, and coupled-field simulation analysis is carried out. The effects of different geometry parameters of diffusion and shrinkage elements on the pump performance are simulated and analyzed. The results show the valveless micropump working principle is mainly based on the flow difference of diffusion and shrinkage elements and its output characteristics are related to the geometry parameters. These results are helpful to design the optimal valveless micropump.

    Abstract: A new type of the precision flow pump is developed with the giant magnetostrictive materials as the driving source. Experiment has been conducted to test the performance of the pump with designed key components. The pump as the preloading mechanism, adopting an elastomer instead of a spring, not only simplifies the structure, but also improves the performance of the pump. A design is also made to some key components such as the giant magnetostrictive rod and driving coil. The result of experiment shows that the pump flow resolution records 1 ml/min~400ml/min and the maximum output pressure 0.6 MPa, which means the performance of this kind of pump is superior to ordinary diaphragm pumps.

    Abstract: Cogging torque is one of the most important parameters of permanent magnet motors, which causes torque ripple, vibration and noise. This paper describes the mechanism of cogging torque, introduces several methods of reducing cogging torque and points out the advantage of novel magnet arrayed permanent magnet motor in reducing cogging torque. Ansoft software is used to build the simulation of conventional surface-type permanent magnet motor and novel magnet arrayed permanent magnet motor and to calculate their cogging torque. a cogging torque testing system which included the angle sensor, permanent magnet motor, torque wrenches and other components are tested two different structures motors’ cogging torque .The experimental result is consistent with the simulation results, it shows that the method of novel magnet arrayed permanent magnet motor reducing cogging torque is correct. The new method compare with the same specification on the surface of permanent magnet motor can reduce more cogging torque.

    Abstract: The voltage harmonic is an important indicator to evaluate the power quality of PM wind generator. Voltage waveform is closely related to the degree of the air-gap magnetic field waveforms sinusoidal in the motor, so generator structure optimization to improve the degree of air-gap magnetic field sinusoidal is an effective method to improve the quality of generator voltage waveform. This paper presents a method called pole width modulation method to reduce voltage harmonic of wind permanent magnet generator. Do respectively finite element analysis to traditional surface permanent magnet generator and a new very wide modulation permanent-magnet generator; and then develop two structure prototypes and build voltage waveform experimental equipment to study them. Finite element analysis and prototype experiments show that the pole width modulation method is one of the effective and feasible technologies on reducing the voltage harmonic of PM Wind Generator.

    Abstract: Numerical simulation was carried out to investigate the gas-liquid two-phase flow-induced corrosion in high productivity gas wells containing carbon dioxide. The Eulerian-Eulerian multiphase model combined with the electrochemical corrosion model was applied to simulate the corrosion rate at the tubing thread connection induced by corrosive medium containing carbon dioxide. The predicted corrosion rate was compared with the field data in the literature. It is shown that the predicted results were conservative when merely considering the phase distribution. Qualitative analysis between the predicted phase distribution, flow characteristics, erosion-corrosion position and the field data was made.

    Abstract: There is a large number of excavation and filling in the construction of pumped-storage power station, and the filling materials are from the excavated materials. The construction planning is limited by the space, time and quantity, order, and its procedure directly affects the construction schedule. Based on relationships analysis of construction schedule and material quality, quantity and its balance, the spatial coordination of excavation, embankment partition and construction safety distance, three models are established which are excavation volume calculation model, the processing logic model and the excavate-transport-fill analysis model of earth-rock . Also, the dynamic balance and allocation of earth-rock for the main work construction are realized. The case analysis shows that this study will contribute to the management efficiency of project construction.

    Abstract: Induced eddy currents in can cause loss when the canned motor runs, the loss make the motor`s temperature rise, directly affect the canned motor pump and the entire transmission system security. Empirical formula estimates eddy current losses which has a big error, it is difficult to meet the engineering requirements. For the canned motor with Hastelloy-C alloy or Sus316L cans, analyzed electromagnetic field and calculated can loss using a finite element method of Ansoft. The paper developed four prototypes, and obtained the experimental value of can loss via simple no-load experiment by the loss separation method. The results are compared with simulation value show that the accuracy of FEM is higher accurately than empirical formula; Analysis shows that dimension of a model and can material characteristic parameters such as the resistivity influence on the calculated error of FEM, the paper proposes to correct the error in the case of considering can material characteristic parameters.

    Abstract: In order to improve the sinusoidal level of air gap magnetic field of the traditional surface PMSM, reduce its harmonic losses and fully reflect its energy-saving advantages, this paper introduces a type of sinusoidal pole width modulation permanent magnet synchronous motor. The surface magnetic poles of the rotor iron core constitute by a number of small array magnets, which makes the air gap magnetic field more sinusoidal. Placing starting winding in remaining space between array magnets of rotor outer surface to make surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor add self-starting function. The sine wave distortion rate of air gap magnetic field of sinusoidal pole width modulation structure was compared with traditional surface-mounted structure by electromagnetic field calculation and experiment. The copper starting winding and aluminum starting winding were placed in sinusoidal pole width modulation structure motor respectively, and then the paper analyzes dynamic torque and rotational speed of self-starting progress. Finally the analysis is verified by experiments.

    Abstract: A 3.3 kV rated Si-SiC hybrid IGBT with Si-based active structure and Si/SiC composite junction edge termination is proposed in this paper. A single deep and wide Si trench, capped with a hetero-epitaxially grown SiC layer, is employed as the edge termination structure. Therefore, the active region can make full use of the mature Si-based IGBT processes and cell structures with high carrier channel mobility and long electron-hole lifetime. Meanwhile the edge termination benefits from the high critical electric field of SiC and its breakdown voltage can easily reach the ideal value with excellent process windows. The ruggedness and reliability of the device can also be significantly improved because the avalanche occurs inside the silicon bulk and is far from the dielectric/semiconductor interface. The excellent characteristics of the edge termination are studied in detail by simulation. It is shown that the proposed edge structure has higher reliability in terms of the hot carrier effects and much less sensitivity to the interface charges in terms of breakdown degradation.
