Abstract: With the increasingly widespread application, the requirement for PHM of IGBT is becoming gradually urgent. Based on particle filter theory, a method for remaining useful life (RUL) prediction of IGBT is proposed. Firstly, the deterioration parameters on-state VCE and ICE are extracted by temperature cycling test, then a model is developed based on the degradation trend exhibited by deterioration parameters. In the end, PF approach is applied to the IGBT's RUL prediction with the mentioned model. The results show that the proposed prediction method can achieve high prediction accuracy.

Abstract: The overall distribution of mechanical properties of A357 aluminum alloy connection beam casting after solidification and T6 heat treatment was researched in this paper, through the mechanics performance test, metallographic microstructure observation, SEM and EDS scanning analysis of the fracture surface, the ensemble mechanical properties of connection beam casting was characterized. The results show that owing to the low cooling rate nearby the arc thick-walled department and the trasition region between the thick and thin-walled of the connection beam casting, leading to the morphology of the crystalline grains and silicon particles in this vicinity are thick. Some casting defects such as oxide inclusions located in the lateral stud district were caused by the strong erosion of high temperature melting liquid during the pouring process, resulting in the mechanical properties decreased significantly, casting defects were not eliminated in the T6 heat treatment process. Due to both the high cooling rate and the smooth pouring process among the thin-wall, forward stud and square box region of A357 aluminum connection beam casting, after the solid solution and limitation strengthening of T6 heat treatment, resulting in the overall mechanical properties were higher than other areas. The tensile strength has reached 360.96MPa, also with the yield strength and elongation respectively attained 297.95MPa and 8.82 %.

Abstract: A pilot-scale modified SBR process was investigated to treat urban wastewater. The average NH 4 + -N efficiency removal was 98 %. The average TN removal efficiency was 52 %. The average effluent NH 4 + -N was 0.34 mg/L. The average effluent TN was 12 mg/L. The average effluent phosphorus was 0.75 mg/L. The average effluent COD was 35 mg/L. The result showed that the ratio of influent NH 4 + -N /TN was equal approximately to TN removal efficiency. The TN removal ratio was decided by the influent NH 4 + -N. The long anaerobic time was benefit to the nitrogen removal. The optimal anaerobic time should be set at 1 hour.

Abstract: A pilot-scale modified SBR process was used to treat urban wastewater. The average NH 4 + -N efficiency removal was 98 %. The average TN removal efficiency was 52 %. The average TP removal efficiency was 85 %. The average COD removal efficiency was 85 %. The average effluent NH 4 + -N was 0.34 mg/L. The average effluent TN was 12 mg/L. The average effluent phosphorus was 0.75 mg/L. The average effluent COD was 35 mg/L. The result shows that the increase of 100 mg/L MLSS concentrations by proliferation or decrease of 100 mg/L MLSS concentrations by discharging residual sludge can remove 1 mg/L total phosphorus from wastewater. The faster the MLSS increases, the higher efficiency the phosphorus removal is achieved. When MLSS is fluctuating or decreasing, the phosphorus removal would be worse than MLSS increase. When MLSS increases 500 mg/L everyday, phosphorus removal efficiency would be very high; the average phosphorus removal efficiency would be higher than 90 % in the most urban wastewater treatment plant.

Abstract: The operation with a combination of three processing routes: cryomilling, hot isostatic pressing (HIPping) and hot extrusion was adopted in the present study for preparation of the bulk nanocrystalline Al 7050. The microstructure and fractography of the bulk material were observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. Furthermore, the chemical composition, density and tensile properties of the material were also measured. Microstructural investigation showed that the grain size of the bulk nanocrystalline Al 7050 ranged from 100nm to 200nm. Numerous dispersoids with a diameter/length of ~50nm were observed on grain boundaries and inside the grains. Besides, one phase of these dispersoids existed in the bulk nanocrystalline Al 7050 was identified as Al 6 (FeMn). These dispersoids dispersed within the bulk nanocrystalline Al 7050, to some extent, increased the mechanical properties and thermal stability of the material. The resulted sample exhibited ultimate strength of 412MPa with an elongation of 5.2% when tested under tensile load, which was a bit lower than that of the traditionally wrought Al 7050-T6. The present results suggested that improper selected starting powder and milling parameters resulted in the flake-like morphology of the cryomilled powder. The flake-like morphology made it difficult for the cryomilled powder to fill the can entirely and achieve a high density material, which led to the weak interface within the bulk material and in turn degraded the mechanical properties of the bulk nanocrystalline Al 7050 prepared in the present work.

Abstract: The beta-phase of Zn 4 Sb 3 has been regarded as a very promising thermoelectric material since middle nineties, owing to its unique merit: intermediate temperature region (200-400 °C), made of cheap, non-toxic and abundant elements and high thermoelectric property. However, the thermal stability of Zn 4 Sb 3 seems to be an inherent obstacle for the practical application during the working temperatures. Herein, magnesium doped Zn-Sb semiconductor (Mg 0.04 Zn 3.96 Sb 3 ) was investigated thoroughly in-situ during thermal annealing up to 600 K, whilst both microstructure and electronic structures were recorded via the combination of synchrotron-based two dimensional X-ray diffraction techniques and the X-ray photoemission spectroscopy. While the time-resolved grazing incidence XRD reveals the preserved crystal structures during thermal annealing to 600 K, XPS measurement demonstrate the robustness of electronic structures. On basis of these findings, it was concluded in the end that the doping of magnesium significantly improves the thermal stability of zinc-antimonite compounds and introduces minor influence on the electronic structure of Zn-Sb alloy. Our study may propose an effective approach towards the wild application of Zn 4 Sb 3 related thermoelectric materials.

Abstract: Nonaligned and curly β-SiC nanowires (nw-SiC) were grown on porous silicon array (PSA) by a chemical vapor deposition method with nickel as the catalyst. The morphology, structure and the composition of the nw-SiC/PSA and the SiC-SiO 2 core-shell fibers which is the semi-product were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Based on the experimental results a possible growth mechanism of nw-SiC was explained. Two broad photoluminescence peaks located around ~409 and ~494 nm were observed in nw-SiC/PSA in the PL measurement when utilizing 300 nm ultraviolet fluorescent light excited at room temperature. The excellent luminescent performances are ascribed to the quantum confinement effects in nw-SiC. The optical merits of nw-SiC/PSA made it a promising material in the fields of ultraviolet-blue emitting devices.

Abstract: The depth profiles of Ni-coated copper substrates polished by different mesh size sandpapers were measured by the glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy (GDOES) depth profiling technique. The measured depth profiles were well fitted by the MRI-CRAS model developed recently on the basis of the Mixing-Roughness-Information depth (MRI) model and the CRAter-Simulation (CRAS) model, taking into account the pronounced crater effect upon GDOES depth profiling. The crater effect upon depth profiling was characterized quantitatively and the interface roughness values between the coated Ni layer and the Cu substrates were determined and compared with the ones measured by AFM.

Abstract: Hydropower reservoirs change the local geo-environment greatly and often induce reservoir bank landslides. Hongyanzi landslide is a large rejuvenated ancient landslide in Pubugou Hydropower Station reservoir area in western China Sichuan Province. To study the deformation of the Hongyanzi landslide, we arranged multi-parameter monitoring using GPS, fixed borehole tilt-meter, osmometer, and crack-meter and collected continuous data of displacement and ground water table. The monitoring data, together with the reservoir water level data, show that the landslide deforms obviously during reservoir water level is falling, while it deforms little in the other period. Comprehensive analysis of the deformation and reservoir water level implies that the seepage force caused by water level difference between the inner and outer slope may be the key factor. Through regression analysis, the authors established a forecast model for landslide deformation based on ground water table and reservoir water level; thus concluded that reducing the falling velocity of reservoir water level may slow the landslide deformation down.
