Abstract:
The Au–thiol coordination polymer with the structure of [–S–(CH2)3–S–Au–]n was synthesized from 1,3-propanedithiol and hydrogen tetrachloroaurate via a hydrothermal method. Through reduction, the as-synthesized polymer was transformed to a porous Au, which was studied as a SERS-active material. Dependent on the uniform spacing of Au atoms sustained by the ligand of thiol, outstanding SERS reproducibility of the as-prepared porous Au was achieved.
