Abstract: In the present study, winter jujube organs including fruit, fruiting leaf and foliage leaf, and associated soils in 14 typical orchards in Binzhou City, Shandong Province, China were collected and determined for the mass fractions of Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, and Cd. The mass fractions of Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, and Cd in plant tissues generally showed an order of Cu 〉 Zn 〉 Ni 〉 Co 〉 Cd as well as those in the soils decreased as Zn 〉 Cu 〉 Ni 〉 Co 〉 Cd. The values of single factor index and Nemerow pollution index suggested the jujube fruits were not polluted by heavy metals. Values of estimated daily intake for all the elements were far below their associated acceptable reference values, indicating no health risks would be caused by a single trace element. The results of targeted hazard quotient (THQ) of the metals in the fruits decreased as Cu 〉 Ni 〉 Zn 〉 Cd accompanying total THQ (TTHQ) lower than 1 showing no hazard would be caused by those metals. Correlation analysis showed soil might not be the main source of heavy metals in winter jujube organs. Bioaccumulation factors (BAFs) for Co, Ni, Zn and Cd in fruits and leaves were far below 1 suggesting their low bioavailablities. The relatively great BAFs of Cu in the leaves might be due to the application of fertilizers and pesticides containing great amounts of Cu through soil and foliar spraying. To sum up, heavy metals tended not to be a major threat to winter jujube cultivation, and winter jujube had great edible safety.

Abstract: The mechanical properties of S32760 duplex stainless steel under dynamic loading conditions at high strain rates are significantly different from those under quasi-static conditions. As a result of large strain, high strain rate, and high temperature, the analysis of the cutting process needs to factor in the influence of the viscous behavior of the material on the plastic deformation process. Based on the viscous effect of the two phases and the mixing rule, a mechanical threshold stress (MTS) constitutive model of S32760 duplex stainless steel considering the viscous effect is established to analyze the effect of strain rate on flow stress. An inverse identification method of the constitutive parameters based on Oxley's theory is proposed. The constitutive parameters of S32760 duplex stainless steel were reversely modified using an equal shear zone model and an orthogonal cutting experiment. The results show that the viscosity of the austenite phase was greater than that of the ferrite phase, and the strain rate had the greatest influence on the viscosity effect in the constitutive model. The prediction error of the constitutive model constructed in this manuscript was less than 4%, which had high accuracy.

Abstract: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the deadliest diseases worldwide. Master-slave robotic systems have been widely used in vascular interventional surgery with the benefit of high safety, efficient operation, and procedural facilitation. This paper introduces a remote-controlled vascular interventional robot (RVIR) that aims to enable surgeons to perform complex vascular interventions reliably and accurately under a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) environment. The slave robot includes a guidewire manipulator (GM) and catheter manipulator (CM) that are mainly composed of a hollow driving mechanism and a linear motion platform. The hollow driving mechanism is based on a traveling wave-type hollow ultrasonic motor (HUM) which has high positional precision, fast response, and magnetic interference resistance and realizes the cooperation of the guidewire and catheter by omitting the redundant transmission mechanism and maintaining good coaxiality. The HUM stator, the core part of the RVIR, is optimized by an adaptive genetic algorithm for better quality and greater amplitude of traveling waves, which are beneficial to the drive efficiency and precision. The robot system features great cooperating performance, small hysteresis, and high kinematic accuracy and has been experimentally verified for its capability to precisely manipulate the guidewire and catheter.

Abstract: Surface soils form a major planting base of winter jujube in China were collected and detected for six heavy metals including Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, and Pb. The concentrations of Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, and Pb were 27.6 ± 6.0, 57.9 ± 12.8, 67.1 ± 10.3, 102.6 ± 23.4, 0.24 ± 0.07, and 25.1 ±5.9 mg/kg, respectively, showing an order of Zn 〉 Cu 〉 Ni 〉 Co 〉 Pb 〉 Cd. The contents of the investigated metals were frequently observed higher than their related background values, suggesting that extra metal inputs occurred. Levels of all elements were below the associated risk screening values of agricultural soil in China, indicating healthy planting conditions for the winter jujube cultivation. Nemerow comprehensive pollution indexes of the metals in all the sampling stations were lower than 0.7, revealing a non-pollution status of the soils. Geo-accumulation indexes suggested that Zn and Pb caused no pollution, and Co, Ni, Cu, and Cd seemed to result in slight pollution. Co, Ni, Zn, Cd, and Pb had similar sources, which might be related to some natural processes and the use of fertilizers. Extra Cu might be mainly from the use of copper-containing pesticides. Based on our observations, the soils from the planting base of winter jujube in the Yellow River Delta were safe for the cultivation of winter jujube, and the rational utilization of pesticide and fertilizer were proposed to control the new inputs of heavy metals.

Abstract: Antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARB) and antibiotic-resistance genes (ARGs) have been detected in human-impacted habitats, especially in densely populated cities. The Qinghai–Tibet Plateau is located far from the heavily populated regions of China, and Tibetan residents have distinct dietary habits and gut microbes. Antibiotic-resistance monitoring in the Tibetan population is rare. Here, we collected stool samples from Tibetan outpatients with diarrhea. From 59 samples, 48 antibiotic-resistant Enterobacteriaceae isolates were obtained, including 19 extended-spectrum beta lactamase (ESBL)-producing isolates from 16 patients and 29 polymyxin-resistant isolates from 22 patients. Either ESBL or mcr genes were found in 17 Escherichia coli isolates, approximately 58.8% of which were multidrug-resistant, and ten incompatible plasmid types were found. The gene blaCTX-M was a common genotype in the ESBL-producing E. coli isolates. Four E. coli isolates contained mcr-1. The same mcr-1-carrying plasmid was found in distinct E. coli isolates obtained from the same sample, thus confirming horizontal transmission of mcr-1 between bacteria. Genomic clustering of E. coli isolates obtained from Lhasa, with strains from other regions providing evidence of clone spreading. Our results reveal a strong presence of ARB and ARGs in Tibetan outpatients with diarrhea, implying that ARB and ARGs should be monitored in the Tibetan population.

Abstract: Background. Pulmonary tuberculoma can mimic lung malignancy and thereby pose a diagnostic dilemma to clinicians. The purpose of this study was to establish an accurate, convenient, and clinically practical model for distinguishing small-sized, noncalcified, solitary pulmonary tuberculoma from solid lung adenocarcinoma. Methods. Thirty-one patients with noncalcified, solitary tuberculoma and 30 patients with solid adenocarcinoma were enrolled. Clinical characteristics and CT morphological features of lesions were compared between the two groups. Multivariate logistic regression analyses were applied to identify independent predictors of pulmonary tuberculoma and lung adenocarcinoma. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis was performed to investigate the discriminating efficacy. Results. The mean age of patients with tuberculoma and adenocarcinoma was 46.8 ± 12.3 years (range, 28–64) and 61.1 ± 9.9 years (range, 41–77), respectively. No significant differences were observed concerning smoking history and smoking index, underlying disease, or tumor markers between the two groups. Univariate and multivariate analyses showed age and lobulation combined with pleural indentation demonstrated excellent discrimination. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and the area under the ROC curve were 87.1%, 93.3%, 90.2%, and 0.956 (95% confidence interval (CI), 0.901–1.000), respectively. Conclusion. The combination of clinical characteristics and CT morphological features can be used to distinguish noncalcified, solitary tuberculoma from solid adenocarcinoma with high diagnostic performance and has a clinical application value.

Abstract: Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) is one of the most harmful mycotoxins, raising serious global health and economic problems. Searching for biological approaches for effective and safe AFB1 degradation is imminent. In our study, Microbacterium proteolyticum B204 isolated from bovine faeces degraded 77% of AFB1 after 24 h, becoming the first reported bacteria from the Microbacterium family to possess AFB1 degradation characteristics. Temperature variation showed little effect on its degradation ratio, demonstrating high thermostability of 75% and 79% after boiling and sterilization, respectively. We suppose that the components playing a key role during this process were proteins, considering the decreased degradation rate caused by Proteinase K. Cell viability detection on HepG2 cells indicated that the degradation products were much less toxic than pure AFB1. Furthermore, B204 cell-free culture supernatant also degraded AFB1-contaminated food, such as peanuts, corn and cheese. These results suggested that this strain with AFB1 degradation properties could be a prospective candidate for application in the food and feed industries.

Abstract: The increasing interest in two-dimensional materials with unique crystal structures and novel band characteristics has provided numerous new strategies and paradigms in the field of photodetection. However, as the demand for wide-spectrum detection increases, the size of integrated systems and the limitations of mission modules pose significant challenges to existing devices. In this paper, we present a van der Waals heterostructure photodetector based on Ta2NiSe5/WSe2, leveraging the inherent characteristics of heterostructures. Our results demonstrate that this detector exhibits excellent broad-spectrum detection ability from the visible to the infrared bands at room temperature, achieving an extremely high on/off ratio, without the need for an external bias voltage. Furthermore, compared to a pure material detector, it exhibits a fast response and low dark currents (~3.6 pA), with rise and fall times of 278 μs and 283 μs for the response rate, respectively. Our findings provide a promising method for wide-spectrum detection and enrich the diversity of room-temperature photoelectric detection.
