Abstract: Nowadays e-commerce develops rapidly. Volumes of online sales grow globally. E-commerce forms a separate sector of the economy. Moreover, e-commerce is at the peak of its popularity. The article aims to analyze the development of the e-commerce market worldwide and to identify the further prospects of its development. The article analyzes the world e-commerce market. The volumes of products online-sales in the dynamics since 2014 are determined. The volumes of sales in the e-commerce market by regions of the world are studied. The largest one is the Asia-Pacific region. It accounts for 62.6% of all e-commerce sales. It is followed by the North American region (19.1% of all global e-commerce sales) and the Western Europe region (12.7% of all global e-commerce sales). It is established that global sales figures are significantly influenced by China and the United States of America. These countries rank the first and the second places responsively in the world in terms of products’ sales in the e-commerce market. Similar indicators for the European e-commerce market are analyzed. The dynamics of the growth of online shoppers in different European countries are determined. The payment methods that online shoppers use most often are highlighted. The most popular methods in many countries are debit and credit card payments. Nevertheless, German online shoppers prefer ELV payments, and online shoppers from the Netherlands choose IDEAL. The most popular categories of online products are small appliances, books, clothing and shoes, computers and accessories, tickets. People like to buy online products at lower prices and universe products. The reason is that the target audience of universe products is not limited by age, body composition, psychological complexes, and other factors that can potentially reduce interest in the products. The results of this study determine the expediency and perspective directions of world e-commerce development.

Abstract: In today’s realities, the introduction of blockchain, IoT, AI technologies is gaining momentum. Of all the modes of transport affected by AI, drones have been the most successful, but restrictive regulations and non-standard traffic rules are forcing European companies to develop their own autonomous prototypes outside the continent. Local unmanned driving licenses lack standardization, which would make it easier for European industry to innovate on a large scale. The lack of clarity in the legal framework on liability in the event of failure, as well as the problem of coordination in the EU, further complicate the problem. Moreover, this problem is relevant for the Ukrainian realities of transport regulation, especially its sphere, which appeals to the transformation of cities into intellectual environments. This article emphasizes the importance of introducing intelligent traffic control systems as a factor in increasing the competitiveness of cities in the long run, highlights the need to standardize protocols for smart systems (V2V, V2I, V2G) to increase the homogeneity and efficiency of the EU transport sector. A separate area is the study of the possibilities of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in this area, its inhibitory factors and prospects.

Abstract: The article studiesthe lexical and semantic features of the anthroponyms in the modern English prose discourse, basing on the material of The Mortal Instruments, series of six young adult fantasy novels, written by Cassandra Claire. The work presents origin analysis of the characters` names and surnames presented in the books, and the ways of their interpretation. Particular attention was paid to the information and stylistic functionality of onyms and their impact on the reader’s knowledge of the inner world of the characters. We proved the connection between the choice of one’s own name and the character’s behavior, his or her actions and a complex socio-psychological portrait; and determined the interdependence between the use of different forms of the name, its short forms or complete replacement, from the metamorphoses that occur with the characters during the development of the plot line of the novel. The work studies the notion of allusion as a kind of intertextuality through the collaboration of biblical and mythological motives, which in turn contributed not only to the specifics of the names` choice of some characters, but also determined their role and order of decisions. It is emphasized the importance of in-depth study of anthroponyms in modern English prose, taking into account the diversity of their role within the work of art, the ability to reflect the culture and social life of society, focusing on the hidden symbolism and literary heritage of a culture and country in general. Keywords: anthroponyms, onyms, onomastics, intertextuality, modern English prose discourse, proper names.

Abstract: The problem of expressiveness has been quite relevant for some time now. Scholars have been studying the expressiveness in various aspects since the 50s of the 20th century. However, there has been great interest in the research of this notion in mass media discourse. This is due to the fact that the media cover the largest audience in the Internet. It is difficult to imagine the scale of the information’s impact on the recipients, especially when it comes to the emotional aspect of a person. This is where the significance of expressiveness in the texts of mass media arises. The research is devoted to the study of expressive means in English-language online media based on articles about the war in Ukraine. This article considers the phenomena of expressiveness and expression and analyses the studies of mass media discourse and its peculiarities. It also demonstrates how authors use stylistic devices in mass media and the analysis of the pragmatic function of expressive means used in the text is provided, their impact on the reader, his thoughts, views, etc.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the question of proper names, the way of their creation and connection of the proper names with personal qualities, traits and character’s lifestyle. The main focus is concentrated on links between proper names and characters’ features in modern English cinematic discourse. The development of modern English-language cinematic discourse has prompted many authors to pay attention to the question of the proper name as a nomination of the hero, a description of his character and lifestyle. The names have a significant meaning, the author expresses not only the actual reference of the character, but also his own attitude to him, gives a certain characteristic and key features of the hero, by which the viewer can make assumptions without even going into details. Names have an impact on the viewer, they have a connotative meaning, which is revealed through the character and details of the hero. The article gives examples of movies and series of the Marvel and DC universes with famous superheroes and thieves, whose names reflect not only the characteristics but also the hero’s belonging to the good or evil side, his actions, behavior and psychological state, as well as superhuman abilities and characteristic. The article also considers examples of anthroponyms and names with a mythological basis, allusive proper names and simple short names. The tendencies of transferring figurative load to proper names are singled out in the work. Given symbolism of proper names in cinematic discourse makes the research relevant in modern linguistics. Further studying in this field as well as semantic analysis of the relationship between the name of the hero and his actions, characteristics, and the author’s attitude to the character are promising in the long run.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the definition and analysis of the features of international technology transfer. The aggravation of the economic situation in Ukraine, first as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, and later as a result of a full-scale invasion, significantly affected all socio-economic processes both within our country and on a global scale. The result of such modern challenges was a slowdown in global economic growth. In order to activate the innovative environment in Ukraine, it is necessary to solve the issue of ensuring the exit of domestic progressive technologies, including those produced by small and medium-sized enterprises, to world markets. Therefore, international transfer is the priority direction of Ukrainian innovation policy. Since the goal of technology transfer is precisely the economic growth and improvement of the population’s well-being, its development acquires urgent significance in terms of solving the problems outlined above. The article examines the essence and features of international technology transfer. The positive features of technology transfer are identified. The stages of technology transfer are characterized. In the conditions of recovery and development of the Ukrainian economy, the construction of an effective technology transfer mechanism will be based on the construction of an effective mechanism of interaction between the state and business structures, the development of technology transfer centers, and the expansion of state policy in the field of technology transfer. It has been determined that increasing the efficiency of the technology transfer mechanism will contribute to increasing the level of development of information and communication technologies through the creation of specialized scientific and technological platforms. Forms of technology transfer are outlined. Sources of technology transfer commercialization are considered. The main methods of commercialization of technology transfer are defined.

Abstract: After the events of February 24, 2022, the entire civilized world became chained to Ukraine. Political figures and authoritative mass media could not stand aside from the war in Ukraine, condemning the actions of the aggressor country and supporting the Ukrainian people in their difficult struggle. Of course, when expressing their position, politicians used phraseological units to give their language expressiveness and emotionality. In general, the idioms they used to indicate their negative or neutral attitude can be classified according to their structure, the presence of a metaphorical element, and their origin. It is interesting that most of the idioms used are of military or political origin, although there are also those that come from sports, seafaring, aviation, litigation and money. Analyzing phraseological units by structure, it becomes clear that politicians most often use phraseological units consisting of a verb and a postpositive, and taking into account the metaphorical meaning, the most common in military-political discourse are idioms.

Abstract: The article conducted a comparative analysis of the blood services’ logos, identified the features of their constituent elements for the new logo’s development or existing logo’s rebranding, and suggested ways to increase their efficiency. It was found 100 logos of various blood service establishments on the Internet, in particular on the official websites of the establishments and official pages on social networks, 43 of them – Europe (12 of them – Ukraine), 13 – Asia, 19 – South and North America, 15 – Africa, 10 – Australia and Oceania. There were explored the following aspects: symbolic and font elements in the logo, the colors used and their quantity, the main messages of identity, and regional differences. There were used general scientific analytical methods and analogies and prototypes to obtain practical results during the study. This study indicates that most blood establishments in the region are characterized by combined compositions in logos – a combination of the font with a visual component but with a fairly direct connotation. The most popular colors in the blood service are red, blue, black, and white font. Logos most often use 2 colors (except white), less often 1 or 3. The following blood service symbols are most often used: a drop of blood, heart, cross, person, and hands. There is also a circle, a crescent moon, a pelican, a star, and a butterfly. They stimulate a certain type of behavior and affect feelings. The results of this research allow to create a good separation from competitors and several times increase the marketing performance of the newly formed organization or existing. Blood service institutions can use this study’s results to rebrand the organization and organizations’ owners to develop the future brand’s identity.

Abstract: In the article, the authors analyze the scope of international tourism development factors based on factological and statistical grounds. It was proven in the article that on the macro-level tourist markets can be grouped into national and oversea ones. The classification of the national markets implies their division into highly-intensive markets (USA, Germany, Great Britain, etc.), stabilized markets (Spain, Greece, Turkey, Poland, etc.), reformed markets (Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, China, etc.), ant accumulated markets (India, Tunis, Egypt, Cuba, etc.). The basic factors affecting the international tourist market include static (climate, natural resources, cultural heritage, etc.) and dynamic ones (population, urbanization, wealth, family, leisure, income, spending, technological advancement, international conflicts and their resolution, etc.). In the article, special attention is paid to the analysis of the dynamic factors of international tourism development, social and economic ones in particular. The presence of positive factors in the country promotes favorable conditions for enhancing its tourist attractiveness on the international level. It was found out that positive factors increase the inflows of tourists for the specific regions (Brazil, France, Great Britain, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Cyprus, Israel, and U.A.E.). On the national level, the following factors are crucial for the development of tourist industry: natural resources, politics, population and its well-being, cultural heritage and rich history. It was revealed, that in Ukraine tourist business is internationally-oriented, which has both pros and cons for the national economy. In the article, the authors presented a matrix with positive (catalysts) and negative (inhibitors) factors affecting tourist business in Ukraine. Among the positive drivers are large contribution to the national economy and state financial support. At the same time, imperfect infrastructure and lack of legal regulations can be referred to the negative factors. It was stressed in the article that drastic measures should be undertaken in order to increase social and economic performance of national tourist business in Ukraine and increase it international image.
