Abstract:
The two-degree-of-freedom model of the vehicle is more accurate with considering of the nonlinear feature of tire. Based on the model, the active rear steering control strategy for achieving zero sideslip angle is yielded. Simulation results show that both of the two cases, constant and variable cornering stiffness, are useful in the control of sideslip motion, and using the variable stiffness due to the effect of load transfer in control strategy is more effective.
