Kurzfassung: We theoretically demonstrate an ultranarrow perfect light absorption (PIA) of a 3D metamaterial due to the strong coupling between the magnetic plasmon of the Au vertical split-ring resonator (VSRR) and the surface plasmon polariton propagating above the Au film. Through lifting the VSRRs above the metallic film to decrease the dielectric substrate effect, the linewidth of 1.9 nm of the PIA is obtained. Our proposed 3D metamaterial shows the high sensitivity ( S  = 711 nm RIU, S * = 13/RIU) and figure of merit ( FoM = 374, FoM * = 1.3 × 10 5 ), which could be used for optical gas sensing in the visible frequency range.

Kurzfassung: Non-destructive testing based on microwave technique has been developing rapidly. In the present study, microwave-based method was used to detect void and crack defects in the carbon fiber composite wound layer of type IV hydrogen storage vessels. Taking advantage of a vector network analyzer, the reflection coefficient S 11 of type IV hydrogen storage vessel samples without defects and with a void or a crack defect in the composite wound layer was measured. The defect-containing vessels exhibited S 11 values much different from those of vessels without defects, according to which the defects can be detected. Additionally, identification of the two defects can be realized by analyzing the S 11 values, as the void gives rise to more reflection of microwave than the crack. During the inspection, only when the horn antenna is against the defect does the S 11 show significant changes, suggesting the detection sensitivity of the method. This study lays a solid foundation for the development of microwave inspection of defects in the composite wound layer of type IV hydrogen storage vessels.

Kurzfassung: Microwave technique has become a promising candidate for non-destructive testing. In this study, microwave-based method was used to inspect type III hydrogen storage vessels and to identify void and crack defects in the carbon fiber composite wound layer. Using a vector network analyzer, the reflection coefficient S 11 of type III hydrogen storage vessel samples with no defects and with a void or a crack defect in the composite wound layer was measured. The defect-containing vessels had S 11 values significantly different from those of vessels without defects, based on which the defects can be detected. During the inspection, only when the horn antenna is against the defect does the S 11 show great changes, indicating the detection sensitivity of the method. This work provides new insights into inspection of defects in the of carbon fiber composite wound layer of type III hydrogen storage vessels.

Kurzfassung: Aiming at mercury and dioxin in fire coal gas as research objects, nonthermal plasma (NTP) catalytic technology was used to investigate the degradation effect of operating condition parameters on mixed pollutants in mixed flue gas condition, and to explore the synergistic degradation of Hg 0 and TCB (1, 2, 3-trichlorobenzene, TCB) under mixed flue gas conditions. The research results showed that the conversion efficiency of mercury and TCB increased with the additional output of voltage, and decreased with the increase of the gas flow rate. Under optimal reaction conditions: voltage = 17 kV, frequency = 300 Hz, gas flow rate = 2 l min −1 , the conversion efficiency of Hg 0 and TCB reached the highest 91.4% and 84.98%, respectively. In the NTP catalytic system, active free radicals played an important role in the synergistic conversion of mercury and TCB, which have a competitive effect, to make the conversion efficiency of mixed pollutants lower than a single substance. In the mixed flue gas condition, the mixed gas has an inhibitory effect on the synergistic conversion of mercury and TCB. Kinetic modeling of NTP catalytic synergistic reaction was established. Under three conditions of TCB, mercury and TCB, mixed simulated flue gas, the NTP catalytic technology showed a quasi-first-order kinetic reaction for the degradation of TCB. According to the synergistic effect of NTP and composites, the transformation and degradation of TCB mainly included two processes: TCB and ring opening, and Hg 0 was finally oxidized to Hg 2+ .

Kurzfassung: In the control system of a quantum gravimeter, the optical signal containing phase information is weak and usually at the nV level. This situation puts forward high requirements for the measurement performance of the system. As the coupling input component of the measurement system, the noise level of the preamplifier has a dramatic influence on the noise performance. In this paper, the input current signal is provided by the photodiode. According to the photodiode output characteristics, we design three preamplifiers with different gain and bandwidth, which is verified by the optical system. Under the condition of meeting the design requirements, the noise performance is compared with the common commercial detector Model 2307. The results show that the noise performance of the photoelectric converter designed in this paper is about 1.5 times that of model 2307.

Kurzfassung: In order for the pre-coding technology to suppress the influence of pilot contamination, a hybrid pre-coding scheme is proposed in this paper by combining a full-digital pre-coding technology and an analog beamforming in the context of current massive MIMO. Simulation results show that the proposed pre-coding scheme effectively suppresses the pilot contamination while reducing the system structure complexity and ensuring the system’s basic performance, which is of important significance in practical communication applications.

Kurzfassung: Objective. Metal artifacts in the computed tomography (CT) imaging are unavoidably adverse to the clinical diagnosis and treatment outcomes. Most metal artifact reduction (MAR) methods easily result in the over-smoothing problem and loss of structure details near the metal implants, especially for these metal implants with irregular elongated shapes. To address this problem, we present the physics-informed sinogram completion (PISC) method for MAR in CT imaging, to reduce metal artifacts and recover more structural textures. Approach. Specifically, the original uncorrected sinogram is firstly completed by the normalized linear interpolation algorithm to reduce metal artifacts. Simultaneously, the uncorrected sinogram is also corrected based on the beam-hardening correction physical model, to recover the latent structure information in metal trajectory region by leveraging the attenuation characteristics of different materials. Both corrected sinograms are fused with the pixel-wise adaptive weights, which are manually designed according to the shape and material information of metal implants. To furtherly reduce artifacts and improve the CT image quality, a post-processing frequency split algorithm is adopted to yield the final corrected CT image after reconstructing the fused sinogram. Main results. We qualitatively and quantitatively evaluated the presented PISC method on two simulated datasets and three real datasets. All results demonstrate that the presented PISC method can effectively correct the metal implants with various shapes and materials, in terms of artifact suppression and structure preservation. Significance. We proposed a sinogram-domain MAR method to compensate for the over-smoothing problem existing in most MAR methods by taking advantage of the physical prior knowledge, which has the potential to improve the performance of the deep learning based MAR approaches.

Kurzfassung: The effects of Al 2 O 3 and SiO 2 additives on the microwave properties of Ba 6-3 x (Nd y ,Sm 1- y ) 8+2 x Ti 18 O 5 ( x =0.6 and y =0.5; BNST) materials have been investigated. The microstructure of BNST doped with Al 2 O 3 or SiO 2 was analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis and scanning electron microscopy. XRD analysis did not reveal any second phases or modification of the BNST crystal structure. The addition of SiO 2 at more than 0.2 wt % increased grain growth and shortened the densification process. The addition of small amounts of Al 2 O 3 (≤2 wt %) increased the Qf markably and improved the TCf , while it decreased the density and dielectric constant ( ε r ) of BNST. Doping 0.5 wt % Al 2 O 3 , in addition to a small amount of SiO 2 (=0.2 wt %), further increased the Qf of BNST. The dielectric constant, the Qf and the TCf of the materials degrade when doped with too much SiO 2 . The BNST doped with 0.5 wt % Al 2 O 3 and 0.2 wt % SiO 2 exhibited dielectric properties with ε r =74.3, Qf =8700 GHz and TCf =8.8 ppm/°C at a sintering temperature of 1320°C for 2 h.
