    Abstract: An in situ method is presented to identify ten engine inertia parameters and system dynamic stiffness from the frequency response functions. The ten engine inertia parameters and system dynamic stiffness are estimated from two distinct steps. The accuracy of the proposed technique is verified by finite element simulation, and then the generality is validated using an engine supported by a specially designed curved bar spring. The locations of the measure points on the results are also carefully investigated. The identification of system dynamic stiffness is validated comparing with the engine with an auxiliary plate, which shows good consistency with the results identified from the study.

    Abstract: Example-based texture synthesis plays a significant role in many fields, including computer graphics, computer vision, multimedia, and image and video editing and processing. However, it is not easy for all textures to synthesize high-quality outputs of any size from a small input example. Hence, the assessment of the synthesizability of the example textures deserves more attention. Inspired by the broad studies in image quality assessment, we propose a texture synthesizability assessment approach based on a deep Siamese-type network. To our best knowledge, this is the first attempt to evaluate the synthesizability of sample textures through end-to-end training. We first train a Siamese-type network to compare the example texture and the synthesized texture in terms of their similarity and then transfer the experience knowledge obtained in the Siamese-type network to a traditional CNN by fine-tuning, so that to give an absolute score to a single example texture, representing its synthesizability. Not relying on laborious human selection and annotation, these synthesized textures can be generated automatically by example-based synthesis algorithms. We demonstrate that our approach is completely data-driven without hand-crafted features and/or prior knowledge in the field of expertise. Experiments show that our approach improves the accuracy of texture synthesizability assessment qualitatively and quantitatively and outperforms the manual feature-based method.

    Abstract: The More Electric Aircraft (MEA) stands for the direction of aviation development in the new era, and the reliability of power systems on the MEA has attracted widespread attention. Based on the characteristics of MEA power systems, an equivalent method of electrical topology structure is presented in this article, and evaluation method is proposed which shows the reliability of the overall system with the reliability of specific nodes. Firstly, electrical topology structure of a MEA power system is converted into a network node diagram according to the proposed equivalent method. Then, the minimal path sets of specific nodes are obtained by the adjacent matrix algorithm, and the low-order minimal cut sets of disjointed are obtained. After that, the actual failure rate of components is converted to node failure rate, and the reliability of the overall system is evaluated by operational reliability indexes of specific nodes. Finally, taking the MEA A380 as an example, this paper compares and analyzes the reliability of AC loads, DC loads, and key loads to verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed evaluation method. This evaluation system can predict the weak points existing in the MEA power system, as well as providing theoretical support for maintenance schedule.
