    Abstract: Intestinal fibrosis is the main pathological process in Crohn’s disease (CD); acupuncture and moxibustion can inhibit the process of fibrosis in CD rats, but the regulatory mechanism remains unknown. The present study observed the effect of moxibustion on the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) signaling pathway in the CD rat. The result shows that the phosphorylation of the Ras, Raf-1, MEK-1, and ERK-1/2 proteins and the expression of the corresponding mRNAs in the colon tissue of CD rat were significantly higher than the normal control group. Both treatments with mild moxibustion and with herb-separated moxibustion significantly reduced the expression of the Ras, Raf-1, MEK-1, and ERK-1/2 proteins and Ras and Raf-1 mRNA. MEK-1 and ERK-1/2 mRNA expression in each treatment group showed a downward trend, and the ERK-1/2 mRNA levels were significantly lower in the mild moxibustion group. It indicates that Ras, Raf-1, MEK-1, and ERK-1/2 are involved in the process of intestinal fibrosis in CD rats. Moxibustion can downregulate the abnormal expression of colonic Ras, Raf-1, MEK-1, and ERK-1/2 protein and mRNA levels in CD intestinal fibrosis in rats. Moxibustion may play a role in the treatment of CD intestinal fibrosis by regulating ERK signaling pathway.

    Abstract: Objective. To explore the effect of dapagliflozin on cardiac function, inflammation, and cardiovascular outcome in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) combined with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods. 70 patients with STEMI and T2DM were divided into the control group (n = 35) and the observation group (n = 35). Before surgery, patients in both groups were given conventional treatments such as coronary expansion, antiplatelet, anticoagulation, and thrombolysis, and PCI was performed. After the operation, both groups were given conventional antiplatelet, anticoagulation, lipid-lowering, and hypoglycemic treatments. On this basis, the observation group was treated with dapagliflozin tablets for 24 weeks. We observe and compare the left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), myocardial enzyme spectrum, inflammatory reaction, and occurrence of adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) of the two groups of patients before and after treatment. Results. After treatment, the LVEDD and LVESD of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P  〈  0.05). The LVEF of both groups was higher than that before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P  〈  0.05). After treatment, the levels of two groups’ patients’ creatine kinase (CK), creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB), and troponin I (cTnI) were all lower than those before treatment, and the observation group patients were all lower than the control group (P  〈  0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum myeloperoxidase (MPO), C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin 6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in the two groups were all lower than those before treatment, and the observation group patients were all lower than the control group (P  〈  0.05). After treatment, there was no statistical difference between the two groups of patients in cardiogenic death, recurrent myocardial infarction, and other adverse cardiovascular events (P  〉  0.05). But, the incidence of severe arrhythmia and heart failure in the observation group were both lower than those in the control group (P  〈  0.05). Kaplan–Meier survival curve analysis showed that the median survival time without MACE in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P  〈  0.05). Conclusion. Dapagliflozin treatment for patients with STEMI combined with T2DM after PCI can improve cardiac function to certain extent, reduce inflammation, and will reduce the incidence of adverse cardiovascular outcomes.

    Abstract: Successful development of cloud computing has attracted more and more people and enterprises to use it. On one hand, using cloud computing reduces the cost; on the other hand, using cloud computing improves the efficiency. As the users are largely concerned about the Quality of Services (QoS), performance optimization of the cloud computing has become critical to its successful application. In order to optimize the performance of multiple requesters and services in cloud computing, by means of queueing theory, we analyze and conduct the equation of each parameter of the services in the data center. Then, through analyzing the performance parameters of the queueing system, we propose the synthesis optimization mode, function, and strategy. Lastly, we set up the simulation based on the synthesis optimization mode; we also compare and analyze the simulation results to the classical optimization methods (short service time first and first in, first out method), which show that the proposed model can optimize the average wait time, average queue length, and the number of customer.

    Abstract: A robust online fault prediction method which combines sliding autoregressive moving average (ARMA) modeling with online least squares support vector regression (LS-SVR) compensation is presented for unknown nonlinear system. At first, we design an online LS-SVR algorithm for nonlinear time series prediction. Based on this, a combined time series prediction method is developed for nonlinear system prediction. The sliding ARMA model is used to approximate the nonlinear time series; meanwhile, the online LS-SVR is added to compensate for the nonlinear modeling error with external disturbance. As a result, the one-step-ahead prediction of the nonlinear time series is achieved and it can be extended to n -step-ahead prediction. The result of the n -step-ahead prediction is then used to judge the fault based on an abnormity estimation algorithm only using normal data of system. Accordingly, the online fault prediction is implemented with less amount of calculation. Finally, the proposed method is applied to fault prediction of model-unknown fighter F-16. The experimental results show that the method can predict the fault of nonlinear system not only accurately but also quickly.

    Abstract: This work presents a new method for sleeper crack identification based on cascade convolutional neural network (CNN) to address the problem of low efficiency and poor accuracy in the traditional detection method of sleeper crack identification. The proposed algorithm mainly includes improved You Only Look Once version 3 (YOLOv3) and the crack recognition network, where the crack recognition network includes two modules, the crack encoder-decoder network (CEDNet) and the crack residual refinement network (CRRNet). The improved YOLOv3 network is used to identify and locate cracks on sleepers and segment them after the sleeper on the ballast bed is extracted by using the gray projection method. The sleeper is inputted into CEDNet for crack feature extraction to predict the coarse crack saliency map. The prediction graph is inputted into CRRNet to improve its edge information and local region to achieve optimization. The accuracy of the crack identification model is improved by using a mixed loss function of binary cross-entropy (BCE), structural similarity index measure (SSIM), and intersection over union (IOU). Results show that this method can accurately detect the sleeper crack image. During object detection, the proposed method is compared with YOLOv3 in terms of directly locating sleeper cracks. It has an accuracy of 96.3%, a recall rate of 91.2%, a mean average precision (mAP) of 91.5%, and frames per second (FPS) of 76.6/s. In the crack extraction part, the F-weighted is 0.831, mean absolute error (MAE) is 0.0157, and area under the curve (AUC) is 0.9453. The proposed method has better recognition, higher efficiency, and robustness compared with the other network models.

    Abstract: In a spot wholesale electricity market containing strategic bidding interactions among wind power producers and other participants such as fossil generation companies and distribution companies, the randomly fluctuating natures of wind power hinders not only the modeling and simulating of the dynamic bidding process and equilibrium of the electricity market but also the effectiveness about keeping economy and reliability in market clearing (economic dispatching) corresponding to the independent system operator. Because the gradient descent continuous actor-critic algorithm is demonstrated as an effective method in dealing with Markov’s decision-making problems with continuous state and action spaces and the robust economic dispatch model can optimize the permitted real-time wind power deviation intervals based on wind power producers’ bidding power output, in this paper, considering bidding interactions among wind power producers and other participants, we propose a gradient descent continuous actor-critic algorithm-based hour-ahead electricity market modeling approach with the robust economic dispatch model embedded. Simulations are implemented on the IEEE 30-bus test system, which, to some extent, verifies the market operation economy and the robustness against wind power fluctuations by using our proposed modeling approach.

    Abstract: Previous studies have confirmed that acupuncture and moxibustion is an effective way for treating ulcerative colitis (UC). However, the exact mechanism is unclear yet. In this study, DSS-induced UC mice were treated by electroacupuncture and moxibustion, and the genome of intestinal flora was subsequently detected by high-throughput sequencing in order to explore the detailed mechanism in terms of intestinal flora. The results indicated that the alpha diversity indices and beta diversity of intestinal flora were improved by electroacupuncture and moxibustion treatments, especially by the moxibustion treatment. These treatments inhibited Streptococcus, Odoribacter, and Allobaculum whereas it facilitated Lactobacillus on genus level . Further correlation analysis showed that the alpha diversity indices were positively correlated with the percentage of Treg cells in CD4 + cells but negatively correlated with the percentage of Th17 in CD4 + cells. These data indicated that both electroacupuncture and moxibustion can promote the intestinal flora diversity, providing a new view to understand the relationship between host and microbiome when using some external therapies.

    Abstract: This study aimed to investigate energy dissipation in train collisions. A 1/8 scaled train model, about one-dimensional in longitudinal direction, was used to carry out a scaled train collision test. Corresponding multibody dynamic simulations were conducted using traditional and improved method model (IMM) in ADAMS. In IMM, the connection between two adjacent cars was expressed by a nonlinear spring and energy absorbing structures were equivalently represented by separate forces, instead of one force. IMM was able to simulate the motion of each car and displayed the deformation of structures at both ends of the cars. IMM showed larger deformations and energy absorption of structures in moving cars than those in stationary cars. Moreover, the asymmetry in deformation proportion in main energy absorbing structures decreased with increasing collision speed. The asymmetry decreased from 11.69% to 3.60% when the collision speed increased from 10 km/h to 36 km/h.

    Abstract: Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been attracting immense research interests. However, only a handful of lncRNAs had been thoroughly characterized. They were involved in fundamental cellular processes including regulation of gene expression at epigenetics as well as tumorogenesis. In this paper, we give a systematic and comprehensive review of existing literature about lncRNA involvement in hepatocellular carcinoma. This review exhibited that lncRNAs played important roles in tumorigenesis and subsequent prognosis and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma and elucidated the role of some specific lncRNAs such as MALAT1 and HOTAIR in the pathophysiology of hepatocellular carcinoma and their potential of being therapeutic targets.

    Abstract: Background and Aims. Psychological disorders are prevalent in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, but the underlying mechanisms remain unknown. The aim of this study was to study whether electroacupuncture (EA) and moxibustion (MB) can improve anxiety behavior in DSS-induced colitis mice and to investigate whether this effect is related to hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical (HPA) axis. Methods. The colitis model was established by drinking 2.5% dextran sodium sulfate (DSS). DSS-induced colitis mice were treated by EA or MB. Disease activity index (DAI) was scored; intestinal morphological and pathological structure was observed; anxiety behavior was tested by the elevated plus maze and open field. The concentration of corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) and cortisol (CORT) in serum was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The protein expression of CRH in the colon and hypothalamus was detected by Western blot (WB). Results. Both EA and MB treatments can improvethe morphology of their distal colonic mucosal epithelia, as well as the disease activity index. Meanwhile, anxiety behavior in colitis mice was improved slightly after EA and MB treatment. In addition, the levels of CRH and CORT in the serum were slightly improved after EA and MB treatment. These effects are further supported by WB results. The expression of CRH in the colon and hypothalamus was increased significantly after treatment, compared with the model group. Conclusion. EA and MB were able to regulate the concentration of CRH in serum and protein expression in the peripheral and central at different levels and promote the recovery of the HPA axis that may be the basis for EA and MB to improve colonic pathology and alleviate anxiety behavior in DSS-induced colitis.
