Abstract: Given the design difficulty and poor accuracy of tooth profile of noncircular gear used in noncircular gear hydraulic motor, it is proposed to reduce the design difficulty and improve the design accuracy by using arc-shaped pitch curve instead of noncircular pitch curve with continuously varying curvature. Based on the geometric relationship and transmission relationship of the noncircular planetary gear mechanism, a nonlinear programming model is constructed for the circular arc-shaped pitch curve. By solving the nonlinear programming model, a noncircular planetary gear mechanism with a modulus of m = 1.5 is designed. The noncircular gear mechanism with the arc-shaped pitch curve was machined and installed in a hydraulic motor, and an efficiency comparison experiment was conducted with a high-order elliptical noncircular gear mechanism with a continuously varying curvature. The experiment shows that the efficiency of the two noncircular gear mechanisms is basically the same, and the best speed range is 100–400 rpm. The noncircular planetary gear mechanism with an arc-shaped pitch curve designed in this paper has reasonable structure, correct transmission relationship, and simple design method, which shows that the design method proposed in this paper has a good engineering application value.

Abstract: We compared the functional outcome of Isl-1 + cardiac progenitors, CD90 + bone marrow-derived progenitor cells, and the combination of the two in a rat myocardial infarction (MI) model. Isl-1 + cells were isolated from embryonic day 12.5 (E12.5) rat hearts and expanded in vitro. Thy-1 + /CD90 + cells were isolated from the bone marrow of adult Sprague-Dawley rats by immunomagnetic cell sorting. Six-week-old female Sprague-Dawley rats underwent permanent left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery ligation and received intramyocardial injection of either saline, Isl-1 + cells, CD90 + cells, or a combination of Isl-1 + and CD90 + cells, at the time of infarction. Cells were delivered transepicardially to the peri-infarct zone. Left ventricular function was assessed by transthoracic echocardiography at 1- and 4-week post-MI and by Millar catheterization (-dP/dt and +dP/dt) at 4-week post-MI. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (Isl-1 + cells) and monochrystalline iron oxide nanoparticles labeling (MION; CD90 + cells) were performed to assess biodistribution of transplanted cells. Only the combination of cells demonstrated a significant improvement of cardiac function as assessed by anterior wall contractility, dP/dt (max), and dP/dt (min), compared to Isl-1 + or CD90 + cell monotherapies. In the combination cell group, viable cells were detected at week 4 when anterior wall motion was completely restored. In conclusion, the combination of Isl-1 + cardiac progenitors and adult bone marrow-derived CD90 + cells shows prolonged and robust myocardial tissue repair and provides support for the use of complementary cell populations to enhance myocardial repair.

Abstract: High-power short-duration (HPSD) setting during radiofrequency ablation has become an attempt to improve atrial fibrillation (AF) treatment outcomes. This study ought to compare the efficacy, safety, and effectiveness between HPSD and conventional settings. PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library were searched. Studies that compared HPSD and conventional radiofrequency ablation settings in AF patients were included while studies performed additional ablations on nonpulmonary vein targets without clear recording were excluded. Data were pooled with random-effect model. Efficacy endpoints include first-pass pulmonary vein isolation (PVI), acute pulmonary vein (PV) reconnection, free from AF, and free from atrial tachycardia (AT) during follow-up. Safety endpoints include esophagus injury rate and major complication rate. Effectiveness endpoints include complete PVI rate, total procedure time, PVI time, and PVI radiofrequency ablation (PVI RF) time. We included 22 studies with 3867 atrial fibrillation patients in total (2393 patients received HPSD radiofrequency ablation). Perioperatively, the HPSD group showed a higher first-pass PVI rate (risk ratio, RR = 1.10 , P = 0.0001 ) and less acute PV reconnection rate ( RR = 0.56 , P = 0.0004 ) than the conventional group. During follow-up, free from AF ( RR = 1.11 , P = 0.16 ) or AT ( RR = 1.06 , P = 0.24 ) rate did not differ between HPSD and conventional groups 6-month postsurgery. However, the HPSD group showed both higher free from AF ( RR = 1.17 , P = 0.0003 ) and AT ( RR = 1.11 , P 〈 0.0001 ) rate than the conventional group 12-month postsurgery. The esophagus injury ( RR = 0.99 , P = 0.98 ) and major complications ( RR = 0.76 , P = 0.70 ) rates did not differ between the two groups. The HPSD group took shorter total procedure time ( MD = − 33.71 95% CI: -43.10 to -24.33, P 〈 0.00001 ), PVI time ( MD = − 21.60 95% CI: -25.00 to -18.21, P 〈 0.00001 ), and PVI RF time ( MD = − 13.72 , 95% CI: -14.45 to -13.00, P 〈 0.00001 ) than conventional groups while complete procedure rate did not differ between two groups ( RR = 1.00 , P = 0.93 ). HPSD setting during AF radiofrequency ablation has better effectiveness, efficacy, and similar safety compared with the conventional setting.

Abstract: This paper deals with the efficacy of revenue-sharing and cost-sharing contracts in a dual-exclusive channel, in which each manufacturer announces a cooperative advertising policy, such as cost-sharing contract, revenue-sharing contract, or neither of them, to its retailer. Under such cooperative advertising schemes, two models are developed—one in which each manufacturer determines the sharing rate endogenously or exogenously under the Stackelberg game approach and the other in which each manufacturer and its exclusive retailer cooperatively determine the sharing rate under the Nash bargaining approach. Some counterintuitive findings suggest that the advertising coordination mechanism critically depends on parameters, such as the basic demand share and product substitution. Most notably, the higher sharing rate can lead the retailer’s performance to be worse, especially when the competition becomes fierce. Furthermore, the cost-sharing contract is more beneficial to the cooperative advertising mechanism than the revenue-sharing contract.

Abstract: Consumers’ awareness of environmental protection is gradually strengthened, and they often consider environmental protection characteristics of products during purchasing products. Based on the characteristic of consumers’ dual preferences for product quality and environmental friendliness, this paper constructs a novel closed-loop supply chain with network externalities for new products and remanufactured products under different waste product recycling channel strategies. It discusses the influence of product recycling channel strategies and network externalities on the optimal decision of the company. By establishing the Stackelberg game model, the analysis found that the retail price of new products and remanufactured products is not affected by network externalities and recycling channel strategies, even if the wholesale price of remanufactured products increases with the influence of network externalities. The changing trend of market demand for new products and remanufactured products is different between products with network externalities and without network externalities. When the cost of remanufactured products is within certain range, the existence of network externalities makes the market demand for new products and remanufactured products increase simultaneously. Our study also found that even if products have positive network externalities that increases consumer utility, when the cost of remanufactured products is outside certain range, the company’s profit will be higher when products have no network externalities than that when products have network externalities.

Abstract: This study conducts in-depth research and analysis on the intelligent monitoring and early warning of public safety machines in the construction of smart cities, taking risk management theory as the theoretical basis and combining it with the actual situation, i.e., constructing a public safety risk management framework under the background of proposing urban refinement management, a typical case for in-depth analysis, and understanding how the community carries out public safety risk prevention and control through research and interviews and other research methods, mainly including the overall design and the design of application modules for the robot. Based on studying the existing research and combining the advantages of each research method, this study proposes a method suitable for the analysis of this study, which can improve efficiency and accuracy. The robot application module design part, around the system’s main emergency command object, i.e., the robot, details its design in four aspects: data communication, situation display, auxiliary decision-making, and command and dispatch. The technical environment for system development is given, the development framework based on BS structure and the development and implementation of data interface modules are detailed, and the development and implementation of the robot application module are explained in detail. Finally, the system functions and performance, and further optimization directions are given based on the analysis of the test results.

Abstract: Synthetic cannabinoids- (SCs-) induced psychosis is a growing public health concern. It leads to significant impairment, including emotional distress, difficulty communicating, and other debilitating symptoms. In this case report, we discuss a patient with no previous history of psychotic symptoms, presenting with first-episode psychosis in the context of progressive, acutely worsening, disorganized, psychotic thoughts and behaviors following prolonged use of SCs. We also discuss relevant literature on SCs-induced psychosis, highlighting its prevalence, presentation, diagnosis, and recommended management. It is important to diagnose and treat SCs-induced psychosis as early and efficiently as possible, in order to alleviate symptoms while limiting functional impairment and emotional distress to the patient.

Abstract: The present work deals with the characterization of mango seed shell fiber reinforced epoxy composites by using hand layup method by varying the volume composition of the mango seed shell from 0 vol. % to 60 vol. % (M-0 to M-60). The physical density test, tensile test, flexural test, and water absorption test were conducted as per the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards. Results revealed that the tensile strength of M-20 (20 vol. %) is 43% more than a neat epoxy, while the flexural strength of M-50 (50 vol. %) is greater than 10.85% more than a neat epoxy. The water absorption test was conducted by immersing the samples in distilled water at room temperature, and the weight of the specimens was measured and recorded at every 24-hour time interval. For all composite samples, saturation in water absorption and thickness swelling were observed after 432 hours of water immersion. The moisture absorption increases with the inclusion of reinforcements as compared to the neat epoxy samples. However, for the M-50 composite, the water absorption decreases due to the uniform mixing and stronger bonding between the matrix and the reinforcements. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) images of the composite specimens also depicted the particulate fiber distribution and the presence of micro-voids in the epoxy matrix.
