Abstract: This paper explores the relationship between the clinical value of vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein (VASP) in lung cancer tissue and its diagnosis and severity. Totally 100 patients who were clinically diagnosed with lung cancer from January 2018 to December 2020 were enrolled in our study. They were assigned into two groups according to the presence of lymph node metastasis. The VASP levels were measured by flow cytometry. The correlation between the expression of VASP in tumor tissue and the clinical characteristics and prognosis in patients was analyzed. The diagnostic efficacy of plasma VASP with squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC), neuron-specific enolase (NSE), cytokeratin-19 fragment (CYFRA21-1), prosecretin-releasing peptide (proGRP), and lung cancer was analyzed. The results were compared with APACHE III score to evaluate the accuracy of VASP in determining the severity of patients. This paper finds that the value of VASP in the non-lymph node metastasis group was significantly higher than that in the healthy control group, and the VASP level in the lymph node metastasis group was significantly higher than that in the non-lymph node metastasis group and the healthy control group (all p values 〈 0.05). The APACHE III score of the lymph node metastasis group was higher than that of the non-lymph node metastasis group ( p value 〈 0.05). The diagnostic efficacy of VASP is similar to that of SCC, NSE, CYFRA21-1, and proGRP. The plasma VASP value was statistically different in the survival group and the death group, with higher level observed in the death group compared to survival group (all p values 〈 0.05). The value of plasma VASP alone and acute physiology and chronic health evaluations III (APACHE III) score for lung cancer mortality was similar (47.06% vs. 52.94%, p value 〉 0.05). Similar accuracy was observed in VASP and APACHE III score in predicting mortality of lung cancer (84.37% vs. 85.77%, p value 〉 0.05). This paper concludes that the level of VASP correlates to the severity of the lung cancer and survival of the patients.

Abstract: This paper mainly considers the unicity of meromorphic solutions of the Pielou logistic equation y z + 1 = R z y z / Q z + P z y z , where P z , Q z , and R z are nonzero polynomials. It shows that the finite order transcendental meromorphic solution of the Pielou logistic equation is mainly determined by its poles and 1-value points. Examples are given for the sharpness of our result.

Abstract: For staging cholangiocarcinoma and determining respectability, MR is an accurate noninvasive method which provides size of tumor and vascular patency information. Dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) is a noninvasive inspection method for evaluating the vascular structure and functional characteristics of tumor tissue. However, some limitations should be noted about the technology. At present, the technology cannot be used alone, which is just an assisted method during the conventional MRI examination. 50 ECC patients, admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital between 2016 and 2019, were selected as research subjects. They were classified pathologically according to the Steiner classification system. After image processing, regions of interest (ROIs) were selected from the image to measure the rate constant (Kep), extravascular space volume fraction (Ve), and tissue volume transfer constant (Ktrans). There were 15 cases with highly differentiated carcinoma, 23 cases with moderately differentiated carcinoma, and 12 cases with lowly differentiated carcinoma. Non-VEGF expression was noted in 21 cases, with low expression noted in 15 cases, moderate expression noted in 14 cases, and no high expression case noted. The relevant parameters in the dynamic MRI image can quantitatively reflect the angiogenesis and pathological classification of ECC, which is suggested in the clinical treatment of ECC. The Ktrans, Kep, and Ve values of the ECC patients were all not associated with the pathological classification, with no significant difference ( P 〈 0.05 ). Besides, due to the fact that the patient cannot completely hold his breath, the air leak reduces the image quality.

Abstract: We study the uniqueness problems on entire functions and their difference operators or shifts. Our main result is a difference analogue of a result of Jank-Mues-Volkmann, which is concerned with the uniqueness of the entire function sharing one finite value with its derivatives. Two relative results are proved, and examples are provided for our results.

Abstract: The current glioma classification could be optimized to cover such a separate and individualized prognosis ranging from a few months to over ten years. Considering its highly conserved role and potential in therapies, autophagy might be a promising element to be incorporated as a refinement for improved survival prognostication. The expression and RNA-seq data of 881 glioma patients from the Gene Expression Omnibus and The Cancer Genome Atlas were included, mapped with autophagy-related genes. Weighted gene coexpression network analysis and Cox regression analysis were used for the autophagy signature establishment, which composed of MUL1 , NPC1 , and TRIM13 . Validations were represented by Kaplan-Meier plots and receiver operating curves (ROC). Cluster analysis suggested the IDH1 mutant involved in the favorable prognosis of the signature clusters. The signature was also immune-related shown by the Gene Ontology analysis and the Gene Set Enrichment Analysis. The high signature risk group held a higher ESTIMATE score ( p = 2.6 e − 11 ) and stromal score ( p = 1.8 e − 10 ). CD276 significantly correlated with the signature ( r = 0.51 , p 〈 0.05 ). The final nomogram integrated with the autophagy signature, IDH1 mutation, and pathological grade was built with accuracy and discrimination (1-year survival AUC = 0.812 , 5-year survival AUC = 0.822 , and 10-year survival AUC = 0.834 ). Its prognostic value and clinical utility were well-defined by the superiority in the comparisons with the current World Health Organization glioma classification in ROC ( p 〈 0.05 ) and decision curve analysis. The autophagy signature-based IDH1 mutation and grade nomogram refined glioma classification for a more individualized and clinically applicable survival estimation and inspired potential autophagy-related therapies.

    Abstract: This paper is to investigate the Schwarzian type difference equation Δ 3 f / Δ f - 3 / 2 Δ 2 f / Δ f 2 k = R z , f = P ( z , f ) / Q ( z , f ) , where R ( z , f ) is a rational function in f with polynomial coefficients, P ( z , f ) , respectively Q ( z , f ) are two irreducible polynomials in f of degree p , respectively q . Relationship between p and q is studied for some special case. Denote d = max ⁡ p , q . Let f ( z ) be an admissible solution of ( * ) such that ρ 2 ( f ) 〈 1 ; then for s   (≥2) distinct complex constants α 1 , … , α s   , q + 2 k ∑ j = 1 s δ ( α j , f ) ≤   8 k . In particular, if N ( r , f ) = S ( r , f ) , then d + 2 k ∑ j = 1 s δ   ( α j , f ) ≤ 4 k .
