Abstract: Background and Aim. Interleukin-6 (IL-6) modulates neurons–glia crosstalk and subsequently triggers hyperalgesia. This study is aimed at investigating whether the interaction between protein kinase C epsilon (PKCε) and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) mediated IL-6-induced hyperalgesia and neurocyte activation. Methods. A rat hyperalgesia model was induced using an intraplantar injection of Freund’s complete adjuvant (FCA) or an intrathecal injection of IL-6. Mechanical allodynia was evaluated using von Frey filament tests after intrathecal injections of T-5224 (c-Fos/AP-1 inhibitor), minocycline (Mino, a specific microglia inhibitor), L-2-aminoadipic acid (LAA, an astroglial toxin), PKCε inhibitor peptide, APTSTAT3-9R (STAT3 inhibitor), or anti-IL-6 antibody. The c-Fos, GFAP, Iba-1, PKCε, STAT3, pSTAT3Tyr705 and pSTAT3Ser727, and IL-6 expression at the spinal cord level was assessed by Western blot analysis. The interactive effects of PKCε and STAT3 were determined using immunofluorescence staining and immunoprecipitation in vivo and in vitro. Interleukin-6 promoter activity was examined using luciferase assays. Results. T-5224, Mino, and LAA attenuated FCA- or IL-6-mediated inflammatory pain, with a decrease in c-Fos, GFAP, Iba-1, PKCε, and IL-6 expression. PKCε inhibitor peptide and APTSTAT3-9R reversed FCA-induced nociceptive behavior, while decreasing pSTAT3Ser727, IL-6, c-Fos, GFAP, and Iba-1 expression and PKCε and STAT3 coexpression. Interleukin-6 promoter activity increased in the presence of PKCε and STAT3. The interaction with PKCε increased on phosphorylating STAT3 at Ser727 but not at Tyr705. Conclusion. STAT3 phosphorylation at Ser 727 and the interaction with PKCε contribute to hyperalgesia via the IL-6-mediated signaling pathway, thus regulating neuron–glia crosstalk during inflammatory pain.

Abstract: A wideband slot antenna with frequency- and pattern-reconfigurable characteristics for TD-LTE (3.4–3.8 GHz) and C-band (3.7–4.2 GHz) applications is proposed. The antenna consists of two symmetric slots that are fed by a fork-shaped microstrip line. Two PIN diodes are loaded in the slots to produce two different frequency bands. Meanwhile, two additional PIN diodes are inserted in the feed line to achieve the pattern reconfigurability. The wideband operation is realized by using the symmetric slots and fork-shaped feed line. Simulated and measured results show that the antenna provides 25° and 20° beam-steering in 3.4–3.8 and 3.7–4.2 GHz bands, respectively. Also, an impedance bandwidth of at least 12.8% is obtained in the operating bands.

Abstract: High-resistance ground faults are difficult to detect with existing ultrahigh voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission fault detection systems because of their low sensitivity. To address this challenge, a straightforward mathematical method has been proposed for fault detection in UHVDC system based on the downsampling factor (DF) and approximation derivatives (AD). The signals at multiple sampling frequencies were analysed using the DF, and the AD approach was used to generate various levels of detail and approximation coefficients. Initially, the signals were processed with different DF values. The first, second, and third order derivatives of the generated signals were calculated by the AD method. Next, the entropy features of these signals were computed, and the Random Forest-Recursive feature elimination with cross-validation (RF-RFECV) algorithm was used to select a high-quality feature subset. Finally, an ensemble classifier consisting of Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM), K Nearest Neighbor (KNN), and Naive Bayes (NB) classifiers was utilized to identify UHVDC faults. The MATLAB/Simulink simulation software was used to develop a ±800 kV UHVDC transmission line model and perform simulation experiments with various fault locations and types. Based on the experiments, it has been established that the suggested approach is highly precise in detecting several faults on UHVDC transmission lines. The method is capable of accurately identifying low or high resistance faults, irrespective of their incidence, and is remarkably resistant to transitional resistance. Furthermore, it exhibits excellent performance in identifying faults using a small sample size and is highly reliable.

Abstract: In order to better mine the value of data, the author proposes a research on the automatic access control of big data open resources multimedia based on blockchain and introduces big data access control BBAC-BD (blockchain-based access control mechanism for big data environment). The author designed a strategy management contract based on the Bloom filter, as a probabilistic data structure with extremely high space utilization efficiency and proposed the strategic management contract (PAP CONTRACT) and the strategic decision contract (PDP CONTRACT). In this way, the nontampering, auditability, and verifiability of the access control information are guaranteed; then, the access control method based on smart contracts is adopted to realize the user-driven, whole-process transparent, and dynamic and automatic access control of big data resources. The simulation results show that the greater the ratio of n/k, the better the optimization effect, and the greater the ratio, the lower the corresponding misjudgment rate, but it will also take up more space costs. At the same time, the true value of the false positive rate is generally less than the theoretical value of the false positive rate. When the performance of Hash (strategy to retrieve) is better, the result of Hash distribution is more uniform. Under the condition of m = 3, the misjudgment rate acceptable for the expected use can be achieved, and the increase in the number of Hashes will not bring a significant increase in revenue. Freed from the traditional model of providing access control services based on third parties, solve the problem of transparency of authority judgments; at the same time, through smart contracts, based on the strategy published by the resource owner on the blockchain, realize automatic access control to big data resources; and make the judicial process more flexible and the judgment result more credible. The BBAC-BD mechanism realizes a safe, reliable, and transparent new access control architecture, and it can effectively promote the safe circulation and sharing of big data.
