    Abstract: The rapid development of high-standard farmland construction has triggered explosion of farmland cultivated land protection technologies in recent years. Contemporary, eco-friendly fertilization technology (EFFT) are rapidly becoming main force to achieve food security and promote the national ecological strategy. Hence, based on the extended stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) theoretical analysis framework, this empirical research 295 field interview data of farmers in the high standard farmland grain main production area in Shaanxi Province, a developing country context, to analyze the mechanism of external incentives on farmers’ eco-friendly fertilization technology adoption behavior, further tested to examine the mediating effect of intrinsic perception and moderating effect of the family endowment. We applied the methodological approach, partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), to test the hypothetical model. The results show that external incentives can effectively improve farmers’ technology adoptive behavior; internal perception has a significant positive effect on adoptive behavior, and it plays an intermediary role between external incentives and eco-friendly fertilization technology adoption behavior; family endowment has a significant positive effect on farmers’ technology adoption behavior, but the moderating effect of family endowment in external incentive-technology adoption behavior relationship is not significant. Therefore, we should choose appropriate and flexible government regulations, and give full play to the role of premium incentives, so as to improve the motivation of farmers to adopt eco-friendly fertilization technology.

    Abstract: Allergy is a hypersensitivity reaction triggered by specific cell or antibody-mediated immune mechanisms. Allergies have increased in industrialized countries in recent decades. The rise in allergic respiratory diseases such as allergic rhinitis (AR) and allergic asthma (AA) is a potential threat to public health. Searches were conducted using PubMed, Google Scholar and Medline using the following key terms: allergic rhinitis OR asthma AND probiotics, allergic airway inflammation AND immune disorders, probiotics OR gut microbiota AND allergic disease, probiotics AND inflammatory. Studies from all years were included, specifically those published within the last 10 years. Some review articles and their reference lists were searched to identify related articles. The role of microbiota in respiratory allergic diseases has attracted more and more attention. Pieces of evidence suggested that the development of allergic diseases causes a possible imbalance in the composition of the gut microbiota. Compared to colonized mice, germ-free mice exhibit exaggerated allergic airway responses, suggesting that microbial host interactions play an important role in the development of allergic diseases. Probiotics modulate both the innate and adaptive inflammatory immune responses, often used as dietary supplements to provide health benefits in gastrointestinal disorders. Probiotics may serve as immunomodulators and activators of host defense pathways. Besides, oral probiotics can modulate the immune response in the respiratory system. Recently, studies in humans and animals have demonstrated the role of probiotic in RA and AA. To understand the characterization, microbiota, and the potential role of probiotics intervention of AA/AR, this review provides an overview of clinical features of AA and AR, probiotics for the prevention and treatment of AR, AA, changes in gut microbiota, and their mechanisms of action.

    Abstract: Background: Abnormal nutritional status is frequently seen in patients with chronic diseases. To date, no study has investigated the detailed characteristics of abnormal nutritional status among Wilson's disease (WD) patients in the Chinese cohort. This study aimed to describe the nutritional status of WD patients, with a particular focus on the differences between patients with different phenotypes. Methods: The study subjects comprised 119 healthy controls, 129 inpatients (hepatic subtype, n = 34; neurological subtype, n = 95) who were being treated at the affiliated hospital of the Institute of Neurology, Anhui University of Chinese Medicine. All of the subjects were assessed for body composition by using bioelectrical impedance analysis. All WD patients received anthropometry, nutritional risk screening 2002 (NRS2002), and laboratory test (hemocyte and serum biomarkers) additionally. Results: Compared with healthy controls, the fat mass and rate of total body and trunk were significantly higher in WD patients ( P & lt; 0.001), the muscle and skeletal muscle mass of total body and trunk were significantly lower in WD patients ( P & lt; 0.001). Compared with hepatic subtype patients, the fat mass and rate of total body, trunk, and limbs were significantly lower in neurological subtype patients (P & lt;0.01); while there were no significant differences in muscle and skeletal muscle between these two subtypes. The overall prevalence of abnormal nutritional status in WD patients was 43.41% (56/129). The prevalence of high-nutritional risk and overweight in WD patients was 17.83% (23 of 129) and 25.58% (33 of 129), respectively. Compare with patients with high nutritional risk, macro platelet ratio, alkaline phosphatase, the basal metabolic rate ( p & lt; 0.05), creatinine, trunk fat rate ( p & lt; 0.01) and appendicular skeletal muscle mass ( p & lt; 0.001) were significantly higher in patients without nutritional risk ( p & lt; 0.001). Patients with a high nutritional risk tend to have a lower cholinesterase concentration ( x 2 = 4.227, p & lt; 0.05). Conclusion: Both patients with H-subtype and N-subtype are prone to have an abnormal nutritional status. Longitudinal studies are required to investigate if nutritional status and body composition could reflect prognosis in WD patients, and which of these body composition indexes contribute to malnutrition and worse prognosis.

    Abstract: Annexin A1 (ANXA1) is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein and has been implicated in multiple functions essential in cancer, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, chemosensitivity, metastasis, and invasion. However, the biological role and clinical behavior of ANXA1 in glioma remain unclear. In this study, RNA-seq ( n = 1018 cases) and whole-exome sequencing (WES) ( n = 286 cases) data on a Chinese cohort, RNA-seq data with different histological regions of glioblastoma blocks ( n = 270 cases), and scRNA-seq data ( n = 7630 cells) were used. We used the R software to perform statistical calculations and graph rendering. We found that ANXA1 is closely related to the malignant progression in gliomas. Meanwhile, ANXA1 is significantly associated with clinical behavior. Furthermore, the mutational profile revealed that glioma subtypes classified by ANXA1 expression showed distinct genetic features. Functional analyses suggest that ANXA1 correlates with the immune-related function and cancer hallmark. At a single-cell level, we found that ANXA1 is highly expressed in M2 macrophages and tumor cells of the mesenchymal subtype. Importantly, our result suggested that ANXA1 expression is significant with the patient’s survival outcome. Our study revealed that ANXA1 was closely related to immune response. ANXA1 plays a key factor in M2 macrophages and MES tumor cells. Patients with lower ANXA1 expression levels tended to experience improved survival. ANXA1 may become a valuable factor for the diagnosis and treatment of gliomas in clinical practice.

    Abstract: Soil aggregates are a crucial constituent of soil and have a significant function in regulating water, nutrients, air, and heat within the soil. The development of soil aggregates is influenced by various factors, including the soil’s parent material and human activities. Understanding the formation and the mechanism of stabilization of soil aggregates is of great significance in the study of soil development, in regulating and managing organic carbon pools in soils, and in promoting soil fertility. In this study, aeolian sandy soil with a low degree of soil development and compound soil formed by combining soft rock and aeolian sandy soil were selected as the research objects. We selected three time points from 0 to 9 years after amendment by soft rock in order to investigate the changes of soil aggregate cementing agents. The shape of soil aggregates in both types of soils was analyzed by environmental scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), which were also used to assess the appearance of soil aggregates and quantify the composition of mineral elements on a cross section of the aggregate. The results show that when the soft rock and the aeolian sandy soil are compounded and mixed, the clay minerals in the soft rock change the microstructure of the original aeolian sandy soil from a single granular barrier to one characterized by a cumulative porous structure, indicating that clay minerals promote soil development and form aggregates with good structural properties. The cementing agents in the compounded soil aggregates are mainly clay minerals, aluminum, iron, and calcium. In comparison to aeolian sandy soils, the presence of iron and calcium in compounded soils is notably elevated. The iron oxides present in compounded soils serve a similar function to “bolts” in the formation of soil aggregates. These findings establish a theoretical foundation for investigating the process of soil aggregate formation and the mechanisms by which cementing agents contribute to their stabilization.

    Abstract: Previous studies have found that unique patterns of gut microbial colonization in infancy associated with the development of allergic diseases. However, there is no research on the gut microbiota characteristics of AR children in Chinese Mainland. Objective To investigate the changes of gut microbial of AR children in Chinese Mainland and evaluate the correlation between gut microbial and clinical indexes. Methods In this clinical study, fecal samples from 24 AR children and 25 healthy control children (HCs) were comparative via next generation sequencing of the V3-V4 regions of the 16S rRNA gene. Analyzed the relationship between clinical features and gut microbial using Spearman correlation. Results Compared to HCs, AR children showed significant decreases in Shannon index and significant increases in Simpson index at both the family and genera levels (all p & lt; 0.05). In terms of bacterial composition, at the phylum level, AR children had higher abundance of Bacteroidetes than that in the HCs group ( p & lt; 0.05) and were significantly positively correlated with TNSS ( p & lt; 0.05). At the family level, AR children had higher abundance of Prevotellaceae and Enterobacteriaceae higher than that in the HCs group (all p & lt; 0.05) and had a significantly positive correlation with TNSS, eosinophils (EOS) and total immunoglobulin E (tIgE) (all p & lt; 0.05). At the genus level, reduced abundance of Agathobacter, Parasutterella, Roseburia and Subdoligranulum were also observed in the AR cohorts compared to HCs (all p & lt; 0.05) and significantly negatively associated with TNSS, EOS, tIgE, QOL, and FeNO (all p & lt; 0.05). Conclusion AR children in Chinese Mainland were characterized by reduced microbial diversity and distinguished microbial characteristics in comparison with HCs. The observations of this study offer proof that distinctive gut microbiota profiles were present in AR children and necessitate further investigation in the form of mechanistic studies.

    Abstract: The benefits of physical activity (PA) for asthmatic children were increasingly recognized, and as the design of studies on PA and asthma has become more refined in recent years, the latest evidence needed to be updated. We performed this meta-analysis to synthesize the evidence available from the last 10 years to update the effects of PA in asthmatic children. Methods A systematic search was conducted in three databases, PubMed, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library. Randomized controlled trials were included, and two reviewers independently conducted the inclusion screening, data extraction, and bias assessment. Results A total of 9 studies were included in this review after 3,919 articles screened. PA significantly improved the forced vital capacity (FVC) (MD 7.62; 95% CI: 3.46 to 11.78; p   & lt; 0.001), and forced expiratory flow between 25% and 75% of forced vital capacity (FEF 25–75 ) (MD 10.39; 95% CI: 2.96 to 17.82; p  = 0.006) in lung function. There was no significant difference in forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV 1 ) (MD 3.17; 95% CI: −2.82 to 9.15; p  = 0.30) and fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) (MD −1.74; 95% CI: −11.36 to 7.88; p  = 0.72). Also, PA significantly improved the quality of life as assessed by the Pediatric Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (all items p   & lt; 0.05). Conclusions This review suggested that PA could improve FVC, FEF 25–75 , and quality of life in asthmatic children, but there was insufficient evidence of improvement in FEV 1 and airway inflammation.     Abstract: Objective: Our previous studies substantiated that the biological activity of Schisandra chinensis lignans during the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) was mediated by neurotransmitter levels, and 15 of its active components were identified. However, the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic relationship of Schisandra chinensis lignans has been less studied. The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of Schisandra chinensis lignans in the treatment of AD, and to establish a pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) model. Methods and Results: Herein, we established a microdialysis-ultra performance liquid chromatography-triple quadruple mass spectrometry (MD-LC-TQ-MS) technique that could simultaneously and continuously collect and quantitatively analyze the active compounds and neurotransmitters related to the therapeutic effects of Schisandra chinensis in awake AD rats. Eight lignans were detected in the hippocampus, and a PK-PD model was established. The fitted curves highlighted a temporal lag between the maximum drug concentration and the peak drug effect. Following treatment, the levels of four neurotransmitters tended to converge with those observed in the sham operation group. Conclusion: By establishing a comprehensive concentration-time-effect relationship for Schisandra chinensis lignans in AD treatment, our study provides novel insights into the in vivo effects of these lignans in AD rats.

    Abstract: Agricultural eco-efficiency is an important index to evaluate the agricultural sustainable development and ecological economics, while simultaneously providing a metric for improvements to the rural environment and the stability of agricultural ecosystems. Methods This study took Anhui province as a case, and applied unit survey and list analysis methodologies to quantify rural agricultural non-point source pollution (NPS). Input-oriented super-efficient DEA-SBM was used to measure agricultural eco-efficiency in the typical North-South Transition Zone, and evaluated spatial correlations and differences. Results This study showed that NPS was relatively stable, with less than 5% local variation in Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Nitrogen (TN), and Total Phosphorus (TP) pollutants. The environmental pressure caused by livestock breeding and the use of chemical fertilizers was very substantial, and the differences of rural agricultural NPS in Anhui Province had obvious north-south characteristics. The agricultural eco-efficiency exhibited an “inverted N” trend. Affected by the “Spatial proximity effect” and the “Matthew effect”, it presented spatial agglomeration and positive spatial correlation. The regional differences were significant, and the heterogeneity increased in our study areas. The southern region had the greatest variation, followed by the northern region, with the smallest variation in the central region, although inter-regional differences were consistent. Discussion Though the rational allocation of resources, coordination between agricultural economic and environmental protection would be realized, and better conditions for the sustainable development of agricultural ecology and the long-term stability of agricultural ecosystem would be created.
