    Abstract: This study aims to apply self-congruity theory to examine the relationship between self-congruity of tourists and their perceived image of a gambling destination. This study employs the Euclidean distance model and extends Malhotra's pars of adjectives with five new items about gambling motives. A face-to-face questionnaire survey was used, and a total of 152 samples were collected from tourists in Macau. The results show that the actual self-image of tourists is more related to their perception of Macau image. For actual congruence, tourists exhibit a greater tendency to match the informal, liberal, and emotional image of Macau. For ideal congruence, they have a tendency to match the contemporary, organized, and pleasant image of Macau. This study makes up for the deficiency of self-congruity theory in tourism research. This study helps tourism departments to develop appropriate strategies to promote gambling tourism and disseminate relevant information that can bring gambling destinations closer to tourists.

    Abstract: To investigate the role of MRI measurements of peri-prostatic adipose tissue (PPAT) in predicting bone metastasis (BM) in patients with newly diagnosed prostate cancer (PCa). Methods We performed a retrospective study on 156 patients newly diagnosed with PCa by prostate biopsy between October 2010 and November 2022. Clinicopathologic characteristics were collected. Measurements including PPAT volume and prostate volume were calculated by MRI, and the normalized PPAT (PPAT volume/prostate volume) was computed. Independent predictors of BM were determined by univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis, and a new nomogram was developed based on the predictors. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to estimate predictive performance. Results PPAT and normalized PPAT were associated with BM (P & lt;0.001). Normalized PPAT positively correlated with clinical T stage(cT), clinical N stage(cN), and Grading Groups(P & lt;0.05). The results of ROC curves indicated that PPAT and normalized PPAT had promising predictive value for BM with the AUC of 0.684 and 0.775 respectively. Univariate and multivariate analysis revealed that high normalized PPAT, cN, and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) were independently predictors of BM. The nomogram was developed and the concordance index(C-index) was 0.856. Conclusions Normalized PPAT is an independent predictor for BM among with cN, and ALP. Normalized PPAT may help predict BM in patients with newly diagnosed prostate cancer, thus providing adjunctive information for BM risk stratification and bone scan selection.

    Abstract: One of the most prevalent malignant tumors of the digestive tract is gastric cancer (GC). Age, high salt intake, Helicobacter pylori ( H. pylori ) infection, and a diet deficient in fruits and vegetables are risk factors for the illness. A significant risk factor for gastric cancer is infection with H. pylori . Infecting gastric epithelial cells with virulence agents secreted by H. pylori can cause methylation of tumor genes or carcinogenic signaling pathways to be activated. Regulate downstream genes’ aberrant expression, albeit the precise mechanism by which this happens is unclear. Oncogene, oncosuppressor, and other gene modifications, as well as a number of different gene change types, are all directly associated to the carcinogenesis of gastric cancer. In this review, we describe comprehensive H. pylori and its virulence factors, as well as the activation of the NF-κB, MAPK, JAK/STAT signaling pathways, and DNA methylation following infection with host cells via virulence factors, resulting in abnormal gene expression. As a result, host-related proteins are regulated, and gastric cancer progression is influenced. This review provides insight into the H. pylori infection, summarizes a series of relevant papers, discusses the complex signaling pathways underlying molecular mechanisms, and proposes new approach to immunotherapy of this important disease.

    Abstract: Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a superior life support technology, commonly employed in critical patients with severe respiratory or hemodynamic failure to provide effective respiratory and circulatory support, which is especially recommended for the treatment of critical neonates. However, the vascular management of neonates with veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO) is still under controversy. Reconstruction or ligation for the right common carotid artery (RCCA) after ECMO is inconclusive. This review summarized the existed studies on hemodynamics and neurological function after vascular ligation or reconstruction hoping to provide better strategies for vessel management in newborns after ECMO. After reconstruction, the right cerebral blood flow can increase immediately, and the normal blood supply can be restored rapidly. But the reconstructed vessel may be occluded and stenotic in long-term follow-ups. Ligation may cause lateralization damage, but there could be no significant effect owing to the establishment of collateral circulation. The completion of the circle of Willis, the congenital anomalies of cerebral or cervical vasculature, the duration of ECMO, and the vascular condition at the site of arterial catheterization should be assessed carefully before making the decision. It is also necessary to follow up on the reconstructed vessel sustainability, and the association between cerebral hemodynamics and neurological function requires further large-scale multi-center studies.

    Abstract: Background: Lesch-Nyhan disease (LND) is a rare disorder involving pathogenic variants in the HPRT1 gene encoding the enzyme hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase (HGPRT) that result in hyperuricemia, intellectual disability, dystonic movement disorder, and compulsive self-mutilation. The purpose of the present study was to characterize the genetic basis of LND and describe its phenotypic heterogeneity by identifying the variation in the HPRT1 gene in a cohort of Chinese LND patients. Results: The median age at diagnosis was 31 mo (interquartile range (IQR): 7–76 mo), and the initial manifestations were mainly head control weakness and motor development delay. The median age of self-mutilation behavior onset was 19 mo (IQR: 17–24 mo), and all patients were required to travel in a wheelchair and fall into the predicament of compulsive self-harm behavior. There were two patients whose blood uric acid levels were normal for their high urinary acid excretion fraction without taking uric acid-lowering drugs. Seven different pathogenic variants of the HPRT1 gene were identified among eight independent pedigrees, including four novel mutations [c.299 (exon 3) T & gt; A; loss (exon: 6) 84 bp; c.277_281delATTGC; c.468_470delGAT]. The pathogenic variant sites were mainly concentrated in exon 3, and truncating mutations (including frameshift mutations and nonsense mutations) were the most common genetic variant types (5/7, 71.4%). Conclusion: The present study described the phenotypic and molecular spectrum of LND in eight Chinese families, including four novel mutations, which expands our understanding of LND.

    Abstract: The logistics and manufacturing industries are basic industries that support social development. First, this study classifies the carbon emissions from the logistics industry and pollution emissions from the manufacturing industry as undesirable outputs and evaluates the ecological efficiency of the logistics and manufacturing industries in the Yangtze River Delta from 2006 to 2016 by using the unexpected slacks-based measure (SBM) model. Second, the study analyzes the spatial differences in industrial correlation efficiency by using the exploratory spatial data analysis method. Third, the spatial econometric model is used to analyze the driving factors of the linkage ecological efficiency between logistics industry and manufacturing industry. Finally, the neural network model is used to predict the linkage ecological efficiency. The results show that the ecological efficiency of the manufacturing industry has steadily improved. The ecological efficiency of the logistics industry presents the rising trend in fluctuation. The level of the linkage development between the logistics and manufacturing industries is high. The results of the spatial heterogeneity analysis show that the spatial differentiation of high–high agglomeration and low–low agglomeration is obvious. The spatial agglomeration characteristics are relatively stable, and the spatial diffusion effect is strong. In space, the linkage ecological efficiency shows a trend of development from multiple agglomeration areas to one agglomeration area. The results of driving factor analysis show that foreign direct investment (FDI), government intervention (GI), and human capital (HP) have positive effects on linkage ecological efficiency, while industrial structure (IS), environmental regulation (ER), and energy intensity (EI) have negative effects on linkage ecological efficiency. The results of the linkage development trend analysis show that the linkage ecological efficiency of the two industries will tend to be stable in the future.

    Abstract: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an increasingly serious public health problem in the world, but the effective therapeutic approach is quite limited at present. Cellular senescence is characterized by the irreversible cell cycle arrest, senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) and senescent cell anti-apoptotic pathways (SCAPs). Renal senescence shares many similarities with CKD, including etiology, mechanism, pathological change, phenotype and outcome, however, it is difficult to judge whether renal senescence is a trigger or a consequence of CKD, since there is a complex correlation between them. A variety of cellular signaling mechanisms are involved in their interactive association, which provides new potential targets for the intervention of CKD, and then extends the researches on senotherapy. Our review summarizes the common features of renal senescence and CKD, the interaction between them, the strategies of senotherapy, and the open questions for future research.

    Abstract: Data regarding direct comparison of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) and Computed Tomography/Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CT/MR) LI-RADS in diagnosis of non-hepatocelluar carcinoma (non-HCC) malignancies remain limited. Our study aimed to compare the diagnostic performance of the CEUS LI-RADS version 2017 and CT/MRI LI-RADS v2018 for diagnosing non-HCC malignancies in patients with risks for HCC. Materials and Methods In this retrospective study, 94 liver nodules pathologically-confirmed as non-HCC malignancies in 92 patients at risks for HCC from January 2009 to December 2018 were enrolled. The imaging features and the LI-RADS categories on corresponding CEUS and CT/MRI within 1 month were retrospectively analyzed according to the ACR CEUS LI-RADS v2017 and ACR CT/MRI LI-RADS v2018 by two radiologists in consensus for each algorithm. The sensitivity of LR-M category, inter-reader agreement and inter-modality agreement was compared between these two standardized algorithms. Results Ninety-four nodules in 92 patients (mean age, 54 years ± 10 [standard deviation] with 65 men [54 years ± 11] and 27 women [54 years ± 8]), including 56 intrahepatic cholangiocarcinomas, 34 combined hepatocellular cholangiocarcinomas, two adenosquamous carcinomas of the liver, one primary hepatic neuroendocrine carcinoma and one hepatic undifferentiated sarcoma were included. On CEUS, numbers of lesions classified as LR-3, LR-4, LR-5 and LR-M were 0, 1, 10 and 83, and on CT/MRI, the corresponding numbers were 3, 0, 14 and 77. There was no significant difference in the sensitivity of LR-M between these two standardized algorithms (88.3% of CEUS vs 81.9% of CT/MRI, p = 0.210). Seventy-seven lesions (81.9%) were classified as the same LI-RADS categories by both standardized algorithms (five for LR-5 and 72 for LR-M, kappa value = 0.307). In the subgroup analysis for ICC and CHC, no significant differences were found in the sensitivity of LR-M category between these two standardized algorithms (for ICC, 94.6% of CEUS vs 89.3% of CT/MRI, p = 0.375; for CHC, 76.5% of CEUS vs 70.6% of CT/MRI, p = 0. 649). Conclusion CEUS LI-RADS v2017 and CT/MRI LI-RADS v2018 showed similar value for diagnosing non-HCC primary hepatic malignancies in patients with risks.
