Abstract:
Context and background: Most patient partnership projects require a patient partner recruitment process. This implies a necessity for training in the recruitment of patient partners. To this effect, we have developed a learning-by-concordance (LbC) training on the Moodle platform. Objectives: This article presents how LbC may be adapted to facilitate training in patient partnership recruitment. It also describes the challenges related to online learning and the use of Moodle, as well as the solutions which were found. Analysis: This initiative allowed to us to demonstrate that LbC can be adapted to pedagogical contexts other than its more common use in clinical training and that Moodle’s tools can be configured for this purpose. We suggest that this type of adaptation, which could be transferred to other contexts, bear the name of interpretive learning-by-concordance (ILbC).
