Abstract:
Novel self-doped N -type conducting polymer, poly( P -methylpyridinium vinylene), PMePyV were synthesized by using the quaternization of poly( P -pyridyl vinylene), PPyV and several regiochemical consequences in this polymer were proposed. The electrical, optical, and
electrochemical properties of self-doped N -type conductive polymer were observed. In addition, a possibility of a variety of functional applications of self-doped N -type conductive polymer was indicated.
