    Abstract: A microwave refractometer has been developed in which a calibrated servo-controlled tunable cavity resonator is made to follow the variations in the resonant frequency of the sampling resonator. Considerable improvement has been realized in calibration stability and simplicity of operation over earlier instruments. Accuracy of 1 ppm or better is obtained over periods of weeks.
