    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Anhand tierexperimenteller Untersuchungen ließ sich die Tiefendosimetrie am Modell des Kaninchenauges für 15-MeV-Neutronen bestimmen. Zur Ermittlung der mittleren Neutronendosis wurden in die Augenhöhlen eines Kaninchenkopfphantoms den Augen entsprechende Glashohlkörper eingesetzt, die mit 30% MgCl2-Lösung gefüllt waren. Nach Bestrahlung dieses Phantoms (linkes Auge der Neutronenquelle [Target] zugewandt) ließ sich die neutronenindizierte 24Na-Aktivität der Lösung messen und aus ihr konnte die Neutronenflußdichte und die Neutronenfluenz errechnet werden, aus der wiederum durch Heranziehung des Kerma-Werts für 15-MeV-Neutronen sich die Kerma bzw. die gesuchte Energiedosis ergab. Die Bestimmung der Tiefendosiskurve erfolgte mit einem Augenphantom aus Araldit, indem senkrecht zur Sehachse in Abständen von etwa 2 mm 6 Aussparungen zur Aufnahme von Magnesium-Pillen angebracht waren. Die Aktivität der mit 15-MeV-Neutronen bestrahlten und aktivierten Mg-Proben (24Na) wurden ebenfalls nach der 4πβ-γ-Methode bzw. durch Relationsvermessungen bestimmt, aus der sich dann Neutronenflußdichte, Neutronenfluenz, Kerma und Energiedosis berechnen ließ. Die Genauigkeit der Neutronendosisangabe liegt bei 7,5%. Die die Neutronenstrahlung begleitende γ-Strahlung bedingte eine zusätzliche Energiedosis von 4,5%.
    Notes: Summary Since neutron dosimetry cannot be carried out easily if a biological object is irradiated, we have used a microdosimetric technique for the measurement. For object, we used a rabbit eye filled with a tissue-equivalent solution. In order to measure in as many interesting positions as desired inside the dummy without unduly disturbing the radiation field, we constructed a tissue-equivalent proportional counter. The results are described and discussed.

    Notes: Abstract The ratios of the gI-factors of115Sn,117Sn and119Sn have been measured by the NMR method in different solutions which have large chemical shifts. No primary isotopic effect on the magnetic shielding was found within the error of 7·10−7. Therefore the ratios have been used for the calculation of the hyperfine structure anomalies in the3P1,3P2 and1D2 atomic states of the given tin isotopes.

    Notes: Abstract The ratio of the Larmor frequencies of111Cd and2H has been measured in an aqueous solution of CdSO4 with high accuracy.111Cd chemical shifts have been investigated in aqueous solutions of CdCl2, Cd(NO3)2, CdSO4, and Cd(ClO4)2 as a function of concentration. Using these, the ratio of the Larmor frequencies of the111Cd nuclei for infinite dilution relative to2H in pure D2O is given. From this ag I -factor for111Cd has been derived and has been compared with theg I -factor of an optical pumping experiment. The resulting shielding constant is σ*(hydrated111Cd versus111Cd atom)=−1.106(4) · 10−3. This yields an atomic reference scale for all measured NMR line shifts in the liquid and solid state and the possibility of comparing experimental and theoretical shielding constants. As a consequence, the amount of the Knight shift of metallic cadmium becomes 20% larger.
