    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Es wurde ein Fall berichtet, in dem eine 24jährige geschiedene Chemie-Laborantin versuchte, die Leiche ihres 3 Jahre und 2 Monate alt gewordenen, 95 cm großen Kindes in einem Küchenherd durch Brand zu beseitigen. Die calcinierten Verbrennungsrückstände ließen eine teilweise Rekonstruktion des kindlichen Skeletes zu. Das Alter des Kindes konnte an Hand der Kiefer- und Zahnreste festgestellt werden. Eine eindeutige Geschlechtsbestimmung war nicht möglich. Sichere Zeichen von Verletzungen oder vitalen Reaktionen waren nicht nachweisbar.
    Notes: Summary Case history of a 24-year-old lab assistant, trying to dispose of the body of her 3 years and 2 months old, 95 cm tall child by cremation in a kitchen-range. The calcinated residue allowed partial reconstruction of the infantile skeleton. The age of the child could be determined by the remains of jawbones and teeth. An unquestionable determination of sex was not possible. Definitive signs of injuries or vital reactions could not be found. Whether the cremation of the child was accomplished intra vitam or post mortem, could not be ascertained by examining the remains.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Einzelne Leberfunktionsproben wurden bei der heterolog perfundierten Leber, sofort nach orthotoper Transplantation und beim normalen Ganztier (Schwein) verglichen. Das biliäre Transportmaximum für Bromsulphalein in Milligramm/Minute ist bei Perfusion und nach Transplantation auf 20-500/0 des Mittelwertes von Normaltieren vermindert. Die Galaktoseeliminationskapazität in Milligramm/Minute/Kilogramm Körpergewicht des Schweines ist während Perfusion auf 30-500/0 des mittleren Normalwertes reduziert, nach Transplantation liegt sie knapp unterhalb der Norm. Der basale Gallenfluß ist bei allen 3 Situationen vergleichbar. Die frisch transplantierte Leber mit ihren reduzierten Partialfunktionen ist imstande, das Leben des Empfängertiers zu erhalten. Die vergleichbare Funktionseinschränkung bei der perfundierten Leber läßt es möglich erscheinen, daß auch dieses Präparat eine lebenserhaltende Gesamtfunktion hat.
    Notes: Summary Individual liver function tests were compared in heterologously perfused liver, immediately after orthotopic transplantation and in the normal whole animal (pig). The biliary transport maximum for bromosulphalein in mg/min is reduced to 20-50% of the mean values of normal animals in perfusion and after transplantation. The capacity to eliminate galactose in mg/min/kg body weight of the pig is reduced to 30-500/0 of the mean normal value during perfusion. After transplantation it lies just below the normal. Basal bile flow is comparable in all three situations. Freshly transplanted liver with its reduced partial functions is capable of sustaining the life of the recipient animal. The comparable limitation of function of the perfused liver makes it seem possible that this preparation also has a life sustaining total function.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Vom 1. 1. 1965 bis zum 1. 3. 1970 sind in der Radiologischen und Chirurgischen iUniversitätsklinik Göttingen 659 Armlymphographien durchgeführt worden. Bei den meisten Patienten (39,0%) handelte es sich um eine Brüstdrüsenerkrankung. Die Indikation zu einer Lymphographie bei einem Mammacarcinom wurde in erster Linie zur Überprüfung der Radikalität eines operativen Eingriffes in der Achselhöhle und zum Studium des Lymphgefäßverlaufes und zur Auswertung der Lymphknotenlokalisation, -anzahl und -größe gestellt. Die Früherkennung der Lymphknotenmetastasen in der Achselhöhle bleibt vorerst nur dem Erfahrenen überlassen. Die Übereinstimmung des histologischen mit dem lymphographischen Befund bei einem Mammacareinom beträgt in Göttingen 79,0%.
    Notes: Summary From Jan. 1, 1965 until March 1, 1970 657 lymphographies of the arm were carried out in the Radiological and Surgical departments of the University Hospital, Göttingen. Most patients (39.0%) had disorders of the breast. Lymphography is primarily indicated in carcinoma of the breast as control of radical removal in the axilla, for the study of the course of the lymph vessels and for the evaluation of localisation, numbers and size of lymph nodes. Early recognition of metastases of lymph hodes in the axilla is still the task of the experienced surgeon. The congruence of histological and lymphographical findings in carcinoma of the breast in Göttingen was 79.0%.

Trotz ausgeprägter Rezidivneigung bei unvollständiger Entfernung wird eine Malignisierung der beschriebenen Weichteilveränderungen nicht beobachtet. Die radikale chirurgische Excision ist in jedem Falle anzustreben.
    Notes: Summary Clinical and morphological description of soft tissue lesions (juvenile fibromatoses, plantar fibromatoses, desmoid, fasciitis nodularis pseudosarcomatosa, myositis proliferans, myositis ossificans localisata, dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans), which macro- and microscopically resemble sarcomatous processes. However, their biological behavior is benign. In spite of their tendency to recur after nonradical excision, a change to true malignant tumors is not noticed. Radical surgical excision should be tried.

    Description / Table of Contents: Summary The present paper deals with experimental results of time dependent currents, steady conductivity and discharge currents studied in a high density polyethylene over a field range up to 2.8 · 105 V/cm. Some of these properties have been investigated as a function of time and temperature at samples with thicknesses of 36, 60 and 115 μm. By considering a modifiedPoole-Frenkel-model it is possible to describe quantitatively the field and temperature dependence of the steady conductivity. This model includes the thermal activation of electrons of ionizable sites in case of overlapping coulomb-potential fields of three neighbouring Poole-Frenkelsites. The good agreement between calculated and experimental results indicates that charge transfer occurs by a hopping mechanism in which the electrons jump over intermolecular barriers after having been thermally activated out of deep lying Poole-Frenkelsites.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung An einem Niederdruck-Polyäthylen (HDPE) wurden die Aufladeströme, die stationäre Gleichstromleitfähigkeit sowie die Entladeströme im Feldstärkenbereich bis zu 2,8 × 105 V/cm gemessen. Einige elektrische Meßgrößen wurden in Abhängigkeit von der Zeit und der Temperatur an 36, 60 und 115 μm dicken Proben untersucht. Durch ein modifiziertesPoole-Frenkel-Modell, das auf der thermischen Befreiung von Elektronen aus ionisierbaren Zentren beruht, kann die Feld- und Temperaturabhängigkeit der stationären elektrischen Leitfähigkeit quantitativ beschrieben werden. In diesem Modell wird die Überlappung benachbarter Coulombpotentiale berücksichtigt, wobei der Potentialverlauf zwischen drei benachbarten Poole-Frenkel-Zentren betrachtet wird. Die gute Übereinstimmung der berechneten und experimentellen Ergebnisse stützt die Annahme, daß der Ladungstransport nach Befreiung von Elektronen aus energetisch tiefliegenden Zentren durch Sprünge über intermolekulare Schwellen in Form eines thermisch aktivierten Prozesses erfolgt.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Bestimmte Unfallmechanismen erzeugen Knöchelbrüche und Bandläsionen verschiedener Schweregrade. Aufgrund von Standardröntgenbildern lassen sich die Malleolarfrakturen klassifizieren und operativ zielsicher behandeln. Therapeutische Priorität besitzt der Außenknöchel und die Syndesmose. Die operative Behandlung verfolgt die übungsstabile anatomische Wiederherstellung der Knöchelgabel und die Naht verletzter Ligamente. Dargestellt werden typische Osteosynthesen am Außenknöchel, am Innenknöchel, am Volkmannschen Dreieck und die Naht der fibularen Seitenbänder und die Versorgung einer rupturierten ventralen Syndeamose.
    Notes: Summary Certain mechanisms produce typical malleolar fractures. A pathologic-anatomical classification allows recognition not only of the fracture elements, but also of the ligamentous damage. The film shows characteristic methods for internal fixation of the lateral and the medial malleolus and of a posterior lip fragment of the tibia, and for suturing of ruptured ligaments.
