    Abstract: In a previous paper (I), we have derived a rigorous series expression for the superconducting critical temperature Tc. Here we discuss the region of convergence of this series, and the possibility of its extension through analytical continuation. Our conclusion is that the above mentioned series or its analytical extension is convergent within the whole region ∞ 〉λ〉λ0. By λ0 we mean the smallest value of λ which can be taken such that the equation determining Tc in the Matsubara representation has a real positive solution. It is in fact the Coulomb pseudopotential. Therefore, ex-cluding possibly a few very weakly coupled ones, our Tc formula is applicable to all superconductors.

    Abstract: We have determined the first several coefficients of the series formula (1) for superconducting Tc. For the double-σ spectrum as α2F(ω)=λω/2[a1δ(ω-ω1)+(1-a1)δ(ω-ω2)] and that of several real materials, we have compared the Tc calculated from the series formula, the Allen-Dynes formula and the numerical solution of the Eliashberg Equation, respectively. The results suggest that when the series is convergent, the calculated results by using the series formula is a better approximation of the numerrieal solution than that from the A-D formula.We have also given an approximate Tc series formula, obtained a method to estimate the convergent radius of the Tc series and calculated the convergent radius for several materials. Therefore we may estimate the region in which the series formula (1) is valid.

    Abstract: In this paper, we proposed an improved theory for the microwave-induced step phenomenon. With this theory, we studied in detail the effect of an magnetic field and microwave power on the height of the microwave-induced step.     Abstract: We suggest that the superconductors should be divided into two types, type A and type B, for the former, λΛ. The meaning of Λ is given in this paper. Our analysis shows that the influence of effective phonon spectrum on the transition temperature of these two type superconductors are different and the ways for raising their transition temperature are different also. For type A superconductors, the most effective way for raising Tc is to increase λ, whereas for type B superconductors, is to increase λ (ω2).

    Abstract: In this paper, we have solved the Eliashberg equation for T=Tc, obtaining a series expression for the superconducting critical temperature Tc=α0(μ*)(λ〈ω2〉)1/2{1+1/λα1(μ*)〈ω4〉/〈ω2〉2+1/λ2(α21(μ*)〈ω6〉/〈ω2〉3+α22(μ*)〈ω4〉2/〈ω2〉4) +1/λ3(α31(μ*)〈ω8〉/〈ω2〉4+α32(μ*)(〈ω4〉〈ω6〉)/〈ω2〉5)+α33(μ*)〈ω4〉3/〈ω2〉6+……}, where α0(μ*), α1(μ*) etc. depend upon μ* only. This new Tc formula shows that Tc is determined not only by λ, 〈ω2〉 and μ*, but also by the various moments 〈ω2n〉 of the effective phonon spectrum.

    Abstract: Using the series formula of superconducting critical temperature (1), we have obtained an expression of isotope effect for B-type superconductors. In both cases of μ*= 0 and μ*≠0, we have obtained a series expression for the upper limit of Tc. The agreement between the results of series formula and numerical solution is quite good. Finally, with μ*= 0, we have discussed the relation between Tc and various spectrum parameters. It is apparent from the series expression that when fixing different parameters the behaviour of Tc is completely different, hence we have made a general interpretation for the different conclusions of other authors about the effect of phonon spectrum on Tc. We emphasize that, in most cases, the series formula (1), which we took up to first two terms only, can be used as a good approximation for numerical solution,so that the series formula is simplified greatly. It may be predicted that by using this simplified formula we can investigate many other problems.
