Notes:
Summary Mixtures of different proportions of two lupin species, one susceptible and one resistant to Phomopsis leptostromiformis were successfully used to generate different levels of fungal infection in the field. However there was not a good correlation between levels of Phomopsis infection and lupinosis toxin, possibly because of unusually high levels of toxicity encountered during 1978. The significance of this work in terms of breeding a lupin resistant to P. leptostromiformis is discussed.
