    Abstract: Inelastic neutron scattering spectra from superconducting material C-15 V2Zr, V2Zr0.95Nb0.05 and V2Hf0.5Zr0.5,V2Hf0.5Zr0.3Nb0.2 were measured by neutron time-of-flight method. It was found that the additional content of Nb influenced the superconducting transition temperature Tc and phonon frequencies of V2Zr1-xNbx in a way different from that of V2Hf0.5Zr0.5-xNbx. The Tc increases and the phonon frequencies "soften" with increasing x for the former, while the Tc slightly decreases and the phonon frequencies "harden" for the latter. The result that the phonon frequencies of V2Zr0.95Nb0.05 are softer than that of V2Zr is somewhat in contradiction with the previous results, which show that the magnetic susceptibilities decrease and the geometric mean phonon frequencies increase. The result that the phonon frequencies of V2Hf0.5Zr0.3Nb0.2 are harder than that of V2Hf0.5Zr0.5 can be considered as the result of hybridization of conduction band, which is studied for close-packed compounds by means of LMTO (linear combination of muffin-tin orbitals) method.

    Abstract: The FID arising from the quadrupole interaction is broken into a rotational echo train under the slow rotation condition, and the number of these echoes increases when adjusting the angle between the rotational axis and the applied magnetic field towards the Magic Angle. Thus, a accurate and quick setting of the Magic Angle in MAS-NMR experiments can he easily obtained by this phenomenon. It is theoretically explained by analysing the FID of a spin-1 system. The setting accuracy within 0.05°with a per-deuterated HMB sample is experimentally demonstrated.

    Abstract: The phase diagram of the La-Co-Ni (La 32.2 wt%) ternary system at room temperature has been determined by X-ray powder method and metallographic examination.The isothermal section at room temperature was found to consist of four single-phase regions: α,β, LaCo13 and LaCo5xNi5-5x; five two-phase regions: α+β, α+LaCo13, β+LaCo13, β+LaCo5xNi5-5x and LaCo13+LaCo5xNi5-5x; two three-phase regions : α + β + LaCo13 and β+LaCo13+LaCo5xNi5-5x. No new phase has been observed in this range. X-ray analysis showed that the maximum solubility of La in β is about 9 wt%.

    Abstract: This paper deals with study of period-doubling bifurcation and chaotic behavior under the control of freqency. All structure of bifurcation and chaos can be shown on the V0-ω parameter plane by the method of frequency sweeping. The normal and inverse bifurcation sequences are fully symmetric. On the plane of the control parameters there is a point where the values merge to a unique value. The proposed method is simple and fast, and can be used to study the behavior of the chaotic dynamic systems. Not only can it be used to measure quantitatively the values of the convergence ratio δ and the rescaling factor α, but also to observe qualitatively some periodic windows which exists in the chaotic bands, as well as intermittent chaos. Bifurcation and chaos are the frequency response of the nonlinear systems.

    Abstract: The superconducting transition temperatures Tc of systems V2Hf1-xNbx,V2Zr1-xNbx and V2Hf0.5Zr0.5-xNbx were studied. We found that Nb content influences SC Tc of V2Hf0.5Zr0.5-xNbx in a different way from that of V2Hf1-xNbx and V2Zr1-xNbx. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy of V2Zr, V2Hf and V2Hf0.5Zr0.5 showed that the coexistence of Zr and Hf atoms in A sites of AB2 compounds results in a new type of electron density transfer enhancing the interaction of atoms. This fact supports the following explanation to Tc behavior: 4d-5d coordination of V2(HfZr) may favor the hybridization of 4d conduction band thus causing higher Tc.
