Abstract:
Parametric fluorescence based on the third-order susceptibility χ(3) in high nonlinearity fiber (HNLF) is quantitatively analyzed by the semiclassical method. In an all-fiber setup consisting of 1.45km HNLF with nonlinear coefficient γ=12W−1km−1, parametric fluorescence power of 360nW and conversion efficiency as high as 6×10−6W∕W has been measured with pump power of 57mW. The measured parametric fluorescence spectrum has good symmetry.
