Description:
Article Spin-orbit interactions allow for pure spin current to be injected into a ferromagnetic insulator from a current-carrying heavy metal, generating torque on the magnetization. Here, the authors evidence magnetic auto-oscillations driven by spin-orbit torque in thin film microdiscs of yttrium iron garnet. Nature Communications doi: 10.1038/ncomms10377 Authors: M.
