Abstract: Dissolved oxygen (DO) plays an important role in industrialized freshwater aquaculture. Such deficiencies such as the high cost of water-quality monitoring system and the failure to accurately monitor or describe aquaculture water-quality existed in freshwater aquaculture water-quality monitoring system. Here, a kind of representation method applied to characterize industrialized aquaculture fish behavior in different degrees of DO deficiency is based on three-dimensional (3D) Computer Vision. 3D coordinate values of aquaculture fishes in water acquired from 3D Computer Vision Device by processing aquaculture fish image are applied to represent such parameters as the average activity and height of aquaculture fish in water. This method for representing different behaviors of industrialized freshwater aquaculture fish under the condition of anoxia is realized by using these parameters and combing with the experience of aquaculture. The results show that the representation of industrialized freshwater aquaculture fish based on 3D Computer Vision System can be applied to describe industrialized aquaculture fish behavior and effectively compensate for the shortfall spatial location of aquaculture fish unable to acquire from 2D monitoring system, which is helpful for the accurate and reasonable control of DO in aquaculture.

Abstract: In this paper, we report a large enhancement in the thermoelectric power factor in CrSi 2 film via Si:B (1 at.% B content) addition. The Si:B-enriched CrSi 2 films are prepared by co-sputtering CrSi 2 and heavily B-doped Si targets. Both X-ray diffraction patterns and Raman spectra confirm the formation of the crystalline phase CrSi 2 . Raman spectra also indicate the crystallization of the added Si:B. With the addition of Si:B, the electrical resistivity [Formula: see text] decreases especially at low temperatures while the Seebeck coefficient [Formula: see text] increases above 533 K. As a result, the thermoelectric power factor, [Formula: see text], is greatly enhanced and can reach [Formula: see text] at 583 K, which is much larger than that of the pure CrSi 2 film.

Abstract: It is well known that a high-order point interpolation method (PIM) based on the standard Galerkin formations is not conforming, and thus the solution may not always be convergent. This paper proposes a new interesting technique called quasi-conforming point interpolation method (QC-PIM) for solving elasticity problems, by devising a novel scheme that smears the discontinuity. In the QC-PIM, the problem domain is first discretized by a set of background cells (typically triangles that can be automatically generated), and the average displacements on the interfaces of the two neighboring cells are assumed to be equal. We prove that when the size of background cells approaches to zero, all the additional potential energy coming from the discontinuous displacement field becomes zero, which ensures the pass of the standard patch test and hence the convergence. Numerical experiments verify that QC-PIM can produce the convergent solutions with higher accuracy and convergent rate that is in between fully conforming linear and quadratic models.

Abstract: The activity and solubility of Si in Mo solid solution were studied by the first-principles calculations and quasi-harmonic approximation. The lattice constants, bulk modulus, and formation enthalpies of Mo-Si intermetallics were investigated, and the thermodynamic properties of Mo were also calculated. The Si activity coefficient [Formula: see text] is approximately 10[Formula: see text] at 100 K, while it increases by about 15 orders of magnitude over the investigated temperature range (100–2000 K). It is clear that Si activity coefficient in Mo solid solution increased rapidly with the increasing temperature, which should be ascribed to the Si–Mo interaction being evidently stronger than Mo–Mo interaction. According to the calculated thermodynamic properties, the solubility curve of Si in Mo solid solution was also predicted. The solubility limit of Si in Mo solid solution is [Formula: see text]5.5 at.%, which agrees well with the other experiment and assessed results.

Abstract: The equilibrium swelling of a dual stimuli-responsive core/shell hydrogel is studied by a thermodynamic model. This hydrogel shows thermo-sensitivity as well as pH-sensitivity. The model captures the inhomogeneous swelling of core/shell hydrogels and also, accounts for temperature and pH sensitivity. The predictions of this model are verified with the swelling experiments of a core/shell microgel comprising poly N-isopropyl acrylamide (pNIPAM) and acrylic acid (AAc). The model calculates the equilibrium swelling within the ionic core and the neutral shell. Simulation results can reproduce the equilibrium swelling-temperature curves of this microgel at different pH values considering the delay in the volume phase transition temperature (VPTT) of the ionic polymer gel (pNIPAM-co-AAc) in the core. Two transition points are found in the equilibrium swelling behavior of the hydrogel akin to the VPTTs of the core and shell domains at high pH values of bath solutions. Likewise, the degree of ionization in the core domain is predicted to have a two-step transition behavior corresponding to the VPTTs of the core and shell domains at high pH values of bath solutions. It is shown that the equilibrium swelling of the ionic core is mainly influenced by the electrostatic repulsion between bound charges rather than the ionic pressure. Furthermore, it is determined that the maximum radial stress occurs at the core/shell interface and reaches its maximum value about the VPTT of the core.

Abstract: Single crystal [Formula: see text] was prepared under high pressure and high temperature. Single crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) result shows a cubic perovskite structure. The magnetic and resistivity measurement results indicate that [Formula: see text] is a paramagnetic semiconductor.
