Kurzfassung: The rational construction of cost‐effective electrocatalysts for high‐performance water oxidation is a huge challenge. In this work, heterogeneous NiFe‐based oxide/phosphide (NiFe 2 O 4 /NiFeP) nanoplates are synthesized on Ni foam using a selective phosphorization process with double crucibles in a muffle furnace. The constructed NiFe 2 O 4 /NiFeP heterostructure shows superior catalytic performance for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Impressively, the optimal NiFe 2 O 4 /NiFeP heterostructure demonstrates a low overpotential of 191 mV to afford an anodic current density of 10 mA cm −2 in 1 M KOH, which is better than most of reported OER electrocatalysts. The superior OER activity can be ascribed to the well‐configured 3D network structure composed of vertically interlaced nanoplates to provide more exposed active sites and an optimal electronic structure that arises from a synergistic effect between NiFe 2 O 4 and NiFeP to facilitate charge separation and reduce the energy barrier. This selective phosphorization strategy enables rational construction of oxides/phosphides heterostructures with superior OER performance.

Kurzfassung: Multi-spectral compatible stealth materials have become an imperative development trend, especially visible and infrared compatible stealth materials have become the most important in the field of optoelectronic stealth technology. However, infrared stealth and visible stealth have different requirements for spectral response, which makes it difficult to reconcile the design of functional coupling materials. Therefore, it is very important to develop selective control technology of optical characteristics. A visible and infrared compatible stealth superstructure thin film is proposed based on the FTO/Ag/FTO stacked film structure. A collaborative design method for high visible transmission and low infrared radiation is established, and the mechanism of microstructure characteristics affecting visible transmission and infrared reflection spectra is explained. The infrared stealth thin film with high transparency is optimized, and its compatibility stealth performance is tested and characterized by visible light transmission spectrum, infrared reflection spectrum, and thermal imaging characterization technology. It is shown that visible transmission depends on the coupling and matching effect between the semiconductor dielectric layer and the metal layer, while infrared radiation suppression mainly relies on the metal layer. As the thickness of FTO film increases, the visible transmission peak undergoes a red shift, leading the transmission spectrum curve to flatten, the average transmission first increases and then gradually decreases. As the thickness of Ag thin film layer increases, the transmission peak of visible light undergoes a blue shift, causing the transmission spectrum curve to tend to a high-frequency transmission state, narrowing the frequency domain of visible light transmission and gradually reducing the average transmittance decreases gradually. At the same time, the infrared reflectance increases with the Ag film thickness increasing, but the change of amplitude significantly decreasing when the Ag film thickness is greater than 18 nm. When the thickness of the optimized FTO/Ag/FTO film structure is 40/12/40 nm, it has a high level of background perspective reproduction and high ability to suppress high-temperature infrared radiation. The average transmittance of 0.38–0.78 μm visible light band is 82.52%, and the average reflectance of 3–14 μm mid-far infrared band is 81.46%. The radiation temperature of the sample is 49 ℃ lower in the mid infrared range and 75.8 ℃ lower in far infrared range than that of the quartz sheet at 150 ℃, respectively. The new stealth film can be attached to the camouflage coating surface of special vehicle to achieve visible and infrared compatible stealth, and can be used for cockpit windows to ensure thermal insulation, temperature control, and infrared stealth without affecting the field of view. This study can provide a new approach for designing and utilizing the visible and infrared compatible stealth materials.

Kurzfassung: Oleaginous fungi (including fungus-like protists) are attractive in lipid production due to their short growth cycle, large biomass and high yield of lipids. Some typical oleaginous fungi including Galactomyces geotrichum, Thraustochytrids, Mortierella isabellina , and Mucor circinelloides , have been well studied for the ability to accumulate fatty acids with commercial application. Here, we review recent progress toward fermentation, extraction, of fungal fatty acids. To reduce cost of the fatty acids, fatty acid productions from raw materials were also summarized. Then, the synthesis mechanism of fatty acids was introduced. We also review recent studies of the metabolic engineering strategies have been developed as efficient tools in oleaginous fungi to overcome the biochemical limit and to improve production efficiency of the special fatty acids. It also can be predictable that metabolic engineering can further enhance biosynthesis of fatty acids and change the storage mode of fatty acids.

Kurzfassung: A local coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) case confirmed on June 11, 2020 triggered an outbreak in Beijing, China after 56 consecutive days without a newly confirmed case. Non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) were used to contain the source in Xinfadi (XFD) market. To rapidly control the outbreak, both traditional and newly introduced NPIs including large-scale management of high-risk populations and expanded severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) PCR-based screening in the general population were conducted in Beijing. We aimed to assess the effectiveness of the response to the COVID-19 outbreak in Beijing’s XFD market and inform future response efforts of resurgence across regions. Methods A modified susceptible–exposed–infectious–recovered (SEIR) model was developed and applied to evaluate a range of different scenarios from the public health perspective. Two outcomes were measured: magnitude of transmission (i.e., number of cases in the outbreak) and endpoint of transmission (i.e., date of containment). The outcomes of scenario evaluations were presented relative to the reality case (i.e., 368 cases in 34 days) with 95% Confidence Interval (CI). Results Our results indicated that a 3 to 14 day delay in the identification of XFD as the infection source and initiation of NPIs would have caused a 3 to 28-fold increase in total case number (31–77 day delay in containment). A failure to implement the quarantine scheme employed in the XFD outbreak for defined key population would have caused a fivefold greater number of cases (73 day delay in containment). Similarly, failure to implement the quarantine plan executed in the XFD outbreak for close contacts would have caused twofold greater transmission (44 day delay in containment). Finally, failure to implement expanded nucleic acid screening in the general population would have yielded 1.6-fold greater transmission and a 32 day delay to containment. Conclusions This study informs new evidence that in form the selection of NPI to use as countermeasures in response to a COVID-19 outbreak and optimal timing of their implementation. The evidence provided by this study should inform responses to future outbreaks of COVID-19 and future infectious disease outbreak preparedness efforts in China and elsewhere. Graphical abstract

Kurzfassung: This study evaluated the diagnostic value of artificial intelligence‐assistant diagnostic system combined with contrast‐enhanced ultrasound in The American College of Radiology Thyroid Imaging, Reporting and Data System (ACR TI‐RADS) 4 category thyroid nodules. Methods Thyroid nodules that were evaluated as ACR TI‐RADS 4 by conventional ultrasound were selected, all of which had pathological or fine needle aspiration (FNA) results. All nodules were examined by contrast‐enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and artificial intelligence (AI) analysis. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value (PPV) and negative predictive value (NPV) of AI, CEUS and their combined diagnosis were compared; Analyzed and compared the diagnostic efficiency of AI, CEUS and their combined diagnosis. Results A total of 148 thyroid nodules were included in 140 patients, including 58 malignant nodules and 89 benign nodules. The sensitivity of combined diagnosis was significantly higher than that of AI or CEUS alone ( P   〈  .05). The NPV of AI, CEUS and combined diagnosis were statistically significant ( P   〈  .05). There was no significant difference in the diagnostic efficacy between AI and CEUS ( P   〉  .05), but there was a significant difference in NPV between AI and combined diagnosis ( P   〈  .05). The AUC of the combined diagnosis was 0.859, which was higher than that of AI, CEUS alone. Conclusions AI has a high diagnostic efficiency, which was helpful for radiologists to make rapid assessment. AI combined CEUS can significantly improve the diagnostic sensitivity and NPV, which was beneficial for the early detection of malignant nodules.

Kurzfassung: The imaging features of focal liver lesions (FLLs) are diverse and complex. Diagnosing FLLs with imaging alone remains challenging. We developed and validated an interpretable deep learning model for the classification of seven categories of FLLs on multisequence MRI and compared the differential diagnosis between the proposed model and radiologists. Methods In all, 557 lesions examined by multisequence MRI were utilised in this retrospective study and divided into training–validation ( n  = 444) and test ( n  = 113) datasets. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) was calculated to evaluate the performance of the model. The accuracy and confusion matrix of the model and individual radiologists were compared. Saliency maps were generated to highlight the activation region based on the model perspective. Results The AUC of the two- and seven-way classifications of the model were 0.969 (95% CI 0.944–0.994) and from 0.919 (95% CI 0.857–0.980) to 0.999 (95% CI 0.996–1.000), respectively. The model accuracy (79.6%) of the seven-way classification was higher than that of the radiology residents (66.4%, p  = 0.035) and general radiologists (73.5%, p  = 0.346) but lower than that of the academic radiologists (85.4%, p  = 0.291). Confusion matrices showed the sources of diagnostic errors for the model and individual radiologists for each disease. Saliency maps detected the activation regions associated with each predicted class. Conclusion This interpretable deep learning model showed high diagnostic performance in the differentiation of FLLs on multisequence MRI. The analysis principle contributing to the predictions can be explained via saliency maps.
