    Description: Volcanic glass shards have been selected from core DP30PC section 8, collected in the southeast Gulf of Taranto to establish a robust tephra chronology. In the core 4 Cryptotephras are observed. Selected glass shards from these Tephras contain elemental signals typical for Lipari outbreaks as well as of the Somma-Vesuvius.
