    Description: The systematic position of the genera Ecnomios Mason from New Guinea and Pselaphanus Sz\xc3\xa9pligeti from Brazil and Surinam is discussed; both genera are redescribed and figured. The new subfamily Ecnomiinae (for Ecnomios Mason, 1979) and the new tribe Pselaphanini of the subfamily Agathidinae (for Pselaphanus Sz\xc3\xa9pligeti, 1902) are erected.
