Abstract:
Les phosphates de sodium se déposent de solutions bouillantes sur des surfaces qui transmettent la chaleur. On a étudié ledit processus de formation de dépǒt (appelé “hide out”) dans une boucle de recirculation qui fonctionnait à la température et sous la pression du système secondaire dans les générateurs de vapeur CANDU‐PHW (Canada Deutérium Uranium‐Eau lourde pressurisée). La relation entre les compositions du dépǒt en question et la solution concorde avec les résultats obtenus par d'autres chercheurs. On a constaté un appauvrissement additionnel des phosphates, qui est probablement relié àune réaction avec des dépǒts de produits de corrosion sur les surfaces de la boucle. Les observations obtenues dans l'étude actuelle semblent indiquer qu'il existe, pour le rapport molaire Na/PO 4 en solution, une échelle maximale désirable de 2.2 à 2.6, dans le cas du traitement au phosphate de l'eau des générateurs de vapeur. Le traitement au phosphate de lithium ne convient pas, parce qu'il produit des dépǒts de tartre dur ainsi qu'une corrosion accélérée de la tuyauterie des chaudières.
