Abstract:
This paper presents the results of a longitudinal study of fiscal characteristics among suburban high school districts in a metro politan area. The findings indicate that if uniformity of fiscal characteristics is essential to equal educational opportunity, then action to ameliorate disparities among districts must be taken at the state or federal level.
