    Abstract: An ammonia-stainless steel steady state modeling of loop heat pipe was established, the impacts on the LHP operating temperature induced by alterable heat loads under 3 operating cases (the different position between evaporator and condenser, the changing of ambient temperature and the changing of heat sink temperature) were analyzed and conclusions were made. Changing the position between evaporator and condenser has a significant influence on the LHP operating temperature. Anti-gravity operation will reduce the performance of the LHP, this phenomenon is obviously in low heat load range. Further more, increasing of fluid pressure drop in the loop will induce decreasing of the LHP performance. The temperature difference between ambient and heat sink will influence the transition heat load (from variable conductance mode to fixed conductance mode), the bigger the temperature difference the higher the transition heat load.

    Abstract: The utilization of reconfigurable numerically controlled tooling is important for flexible fuselage assembly. An online programming and simulation system for flexible tooling is presented, which is composed of two modules. The online programming module generates NC code from an adjustment sequence and path, taking into consideration the process and device parameters. This paper details the second module, the visualized simulation module, which validates and optimizes the related adjustment process. This module covers three steps, those are, the creation of a virtual simulation environment based on the light-weight 3D model, the loading of the key feature points related to the adjustment and process information, and the adjustment simulation. The system can rapidly response to “one fixture with more models” and “one fixture with more states” deep flexibility demands for digital fuselage assembly, enable the flexible tooling to a have better capacity for independent adaptability. An example of flexible fuselage assembly process is used to illustrate the detail and advantages of the system. The three-step simulation strategy is proposed and detailed in this paper.

    Abstract: Image processing algorithms are based on the idea that all pixels of it ranked over the orderly rows, which make the algorithms easier to be implemented. Extending image processing algorithms to triangular mesh is always an important idea for triangular mesh processing. But since the topology of a triangular mesh is not as simple as an image, triangular mesh processing is relatively difficult. This paper presented a new sphere image representation of a triangular mesh, which is an image as well as a graphic, and based on it, image processing algorithms can be easily extended to a triangular mesh. Experimental results show that by simply extending the image processing algorithms the presented sphere image representation can effectively reduce difficult of segmentation and mesh editing. Moreover the sphere image representation can be used for more triangular mesh processing applications.

    Abstract: To investigate new features of flow patterns transition during flow boiling in confined vertical narrow rectangular channels, both experiments and theoretical analysis were carried out in the present study. When the channel size was smaller than the bubble departure diameter, a new flow pattern was observed and defined as “confined bubbly flow”. According to the relative size between bubble departure diameter and channel size, two groups of flow pattern transition criteria were developed by using modified drift flux model, with taking features of flow boiling and narrow confinement into account. Satisfactory agreement was obtained by compare model prediction with experiment results. However, further verification and modification are still needed for wider applications.

    Abstract: The CAD models of mechanical parts usually have many blends and chamfers, and the existence of these machining features can greatly change the geometric and topological patterns of the CAD models, but the existing partial matching algorithms cannot match the CAD models which contain machining features such as blends and chamfers. In this paper, a new approach to partial matching based on the constraints of transition features is proposed. Firstly, the transition features are identified by feature recognition, and then these machining features are removed to eliminate the impacts to the geometric and topological information of the CAD models, and the attribute adjacent graph is reconstructed, finally, the sub-graph isomorphism approach is used to achieve the partial matching. Experimental results show that this method can achieve partial matching of CAD models which contain machining features such as blends and chamfers, and the matching efficiency can satisfy the requirement of the engineering retrieval.

    Abstract: The connotation of ecological economic booster explosive has been defined firstly in this paper. The ecological economic booster explosives green manufacturing process system architecture and a general framework are provided. They are consisted of an assessing method for manufacturing process, a modeling on rational proportioning for booster explosives, a modeling on optimum control parameters of the manufacturing process and the rapid prototyping method of the pellet used in the capability testing.

    Abstract: For the demand of coal mine flood accident emergency rescue, in this paper, a mine-used underwater explosion-proof robot is presented and the composition structure and design method of the robot are discussed in detail. This device combines mechanical design, underwater power plant, intelligent control, energy supply of mobile device and mine explosion-proof technology. It can cruise underwater with the changeable depth, orientation and speed. It can move flexibly and can collect underwater and overwater images. Practical application shows that this equipment is suitable for the emergency rescue and disaster relief work after the coal mine flood.

    Abstract: Stability is an important factor to measure the quality of an atomic clock. The random factor that affects atomic clock includes five kinds of noise. The random noise can be expressed by spectral density function. In a certain smooth time, only one or two types of noise can influence the atomic clock’s stability. Through the relationship between spectral density function and atomic clock stability analysis variance, such as Allan variance, it’s possible to distinguish the kind of noise on different smooth time. When lacking of data, there is a way that can increase the amount of data by mapping extensions, and it can also improve the degree of confidence in the larger smooth time.

    Abstract: A hybrid graph and rule-based method for recognizing machining features is proposed in this paper, which aims to get the machining feature in 3D in-process model construction system. Initially, the attributed adjacency graph (AAG) of the input MBD models is constructed and represented in matrix form. After that, by deleting the convex edges of the AAG, the concave sub-graphs are generated. For obtaining the volumetric features, their concave sub-graphs are matched with the feature template graphs in a pre-defined library; for those which can be generated by sweeping the edge loops, such as open pocket, closed pocket, through pocket and slot, their features are recognized by using rules. In experimental section, an example is given to illustrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method.
