    Abstract: Ectopic fat accumulation and abdominal fat distribution may have different cardiometabolic risk profiles. This study aimed to assess the associations between various magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-acquired fat depots and cardiometabolic risk factors. Methods A total of 320 subjects with median age of 59 years, 148 men and 172 women, were enrolled in the study. Visceral adipose tissue (VAT) area and fat fraction (FF), subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) area and FF at the L1–L2 levels, preperitoneal adipose tissue (pPAT) area and FF, hepatic FF, pancreatic FF, and intramuscular FF were assessed by MRI FF maps. The associations of various MRI-acquired fat depots with blood pressure, glucose, and lipid were examined using sex-stratified linear regression. Logistic regression stratified by sex was used to analyze the association of various MRI-acquired fat depots with the risk of hypertension, T2DM, and dyslipidemia. Results The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) values were & gt;0.9, which suggested good interobserver and intraobserver agreement. VAT area, V/S, hepatic fat, pancreatic fat, and pPAT rather than SAT area were significantly associated with multiple cardiometabolic risk factors (all p & lt; 0.05). However, the patterns of these correlations varied by sex and specific risk factors. Also, VAT and SAT FF were only significantly associated with multiple cardiometabolic risk factors in women (all p & lt; 0.05). Conclusions VAT, hepatic fat, pancreatic fat, and pPAT were associated with cardiovascular metabolic risk factors independent of BMI. The patterns of these correlations were related to gender. These findings further the understanding of the association between ectopic fat deposition and cardiometabolic risk factors and help to better understand the obesity heterogeneity.

    Abstract: In the case of methylammonium lead halide (MAPbH〈sub〉3〈/sub〉) perovskite solar cells, the indium tin oxide (ITO) film has been widely used as the transparent electrode. In the preparation process and service process of MAPbH〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 perovskite solar cells, the MAPbH〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 perovskite layer can decompose into the methyl, amino, methylammonium, halide ion/group, etc. Thus, the diffusion of ammonia ion/group into ITO film is inevitable, which can seriously deteriorate the electrical property of ITO transparent electrode. In this study, the ITO films with and without (100) preferred orientation are bombarded by a low-energy ammonia (NH〈i〉〈sub〉x〈/sub〉〈/i〉) ion beam. After the bombardment, the electrical properties of ITO film without preferred orientation are deteriorated seriously, especially for carrier concentration, which is deteriorated down to an extent of about 5–6 orders of magnitude. The bombardment of low-energy NH〈i〉〈sub〉x〈/sub〉〈/i〉 ion/group has little influence on the electrical properties of ITO film with (100) preferred orientation. Such phenomena can be explained by the following reasons. Based on XPS measurement results, the low-energy NH〈i〉〈sub〉x〈/sub〉〈/i〉 ion/group diffuses into the ITO film surface after the bombardment. In the diffusion process, the low-energy NH〈i〉〈sub〉x〈/sub〉〈/i〉 ion/group is mainly bonded with O in ITO lattice, which results in the formation of In/Sn—O—N bond. Based on the crystal structure of ITO, the (100) lattice of ITO consists of In/Sn, and the calculated value of surface energy 〈inline-formula〉〈tex-math id="M1"〉\begin{document}$ {\gamma }_{\left\{100\right\}/\left\{010\right\}/\left\{001\right\}} $\end{document}〈/tex-math〉〈alternatives〉〈graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="23-20200860_M1.jpg"/〉〈graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="23-20200860_M1.png"/〉〈/alternatives〉〈/inline-formula〉 = 1.76 J/m〈sup〉2〈/sup〉. While the (110) and (111) lattices of ITO consist of In/Sn/O, in which the O atom percent on (110) and (111) lattices are 56 at.% and 25 at.% respectively. Besides, the calculated values of surface energy 〈inline-formula〉〈tex-math id="M2"〉\begin{document}$ {\gamma }_{\left\{110\right\}/\left\{101\right\}/\left\{011\right\}} $\end{document}〈/tex-math〉〈alternatives〉〈graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="23-20200860_M2.jpg"/〉〈graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="23-20200860_M2.png"/〉〈/alternatives〉〈/inline-formula〉 and 〈inline-formula〉〈tex-math id="M3"〉\begin{document}$ {\gamma }_{\left\{111\right\}} $\end{document}〈/tex-math〉〈alternatives〉〈graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="23-20200860_M3.jpg"/〉〈graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="23-20200860_M3.png"/〉〈/alternatives〉〈/inline-formula〉 are 1.07 and 0.89 J/m〈sup〉2〈/sup〉, respectively. Combining the XPS measurement results and crystal structure of ITO, it can be understood that in the diffusion process of low-energy NH〈sub〉〈i〉x〈/i〉〈/sub〉 ion/group into ITO film without preferred orientation, lots of In/Sn—O—N bonds are formed in the ITO lattices, which are rich in O and have lower surface energy 〈inline-formula〉〈tex-math id="M4"〉\begin{document}$ \gamma $\end{document}〈/tex-math〉〈alternatives〉〈graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="23-20200860_M4.jpg"/〉〈graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="23-20200860_M4.png"/〉〈/alternatives〉〈/inline-formula〉. Then, after the low-energy NH〈i〉〈sub〉x〈/sub〉〈/i〉 ion/group bombardment, the electrical properties of ITO film without preferred orientation are deteriorated seriously. On the contrary, because of the absence of O and the highest surface energy 〈inline-formula〉〈tex-math id="M5"〉\begin{document}$ \gamma $\end{document}〈/tex-math〉〈alternatives〉〈graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="23-20200860_M5.jpg"/〉〈graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="23-20200860_M5.png"/〉〈/alternatives〉〈/inline-formula〉, it is hard for the low-energy NH〈i〉〈sub〉x〈/sub〉〈/i〉 ion/group to diffuse into ITO (100) lattice. Then, after the low-energy NH〈i〉〈sub〉x〈/sub〉〈/i〉 ion/group bombardment, the electrical properties of ITO film with (100) preferred orientation have little change. With all results, the ITO film with (100) preferred orientation can be an ideal candidate for transparent electrode in MAPbH〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 perovskite solar cells.

    Abstract: The influence of albumin towards the metabolism behavior of fenoprofen enantiomers and relevant drug–drug interaction was investigated in the present study. The metabolic behavior of fenoprofen enantiomers was compared in a phase II metabolic incubation system with and without bovine serum albumin (BSA). BSA supplement increased the binding affinity parameter (Km) of (R)‐fenoprofen towards human liver microsomes (HLMs) from 148.3 to 214.4 μM. In contrast, BSA supplement decreased the Km of (S)‐fenoprofen towards HLMs from 218.2 to 123.5 μM. For maximum reaction velocity (Vmax), the addition of BSA increased the Vmax of (R)‐fenoprofen from 1.3 to 1.6 nmol/min/mg protein. In the contrast, BSA supplement decreased the Vmax value from 3.3 to 1.5 nmol/min/mg protein. Andrographolide–fenoprofen interaction was used as an example to investigate the influence of BSA supplement towards fenoprofen‐relevant drug–drug interaction. The addition of 0.2% BSA in the incubation system significantly decreased the inhibition potential of andrographolide towards (R)‐fenoprofen metabolism ( P   〈  0.001). Different from (R)‐fenoprofen, the addition of BSA significantly increased the inhibition potential of andrographolide towards the metabolism of (S)‐fenoprofen. BSA supplement also changed the inhibition kinetic type and parameter of andrographolide towards the metabolism of (S)‐fenoprofen. In conclusion, albumin supplement changes the metabolic behavior of fenoprofen enantiomers and the fenoprofen–andrographolide interaction. Chirality 27:436–440, 2015 . © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

    Abstract: Receptors and their ligands are important therapeutic targets for about one third of marketed drugs. Here, we describe an epitope-guided approach for selection of antibodies that modulate cellular signaling of targeted receptors. We chose CXC chemokine receptor 2 (CXCR2) in the G-protein coupled receptor superfamily as receptor and a CXCR2 N-terminal peptide for antibody selection. We obtain a highly selective, tight-binding antibody from a 10 11 -member antibody library using combinatorial enrichment. Structural and Hydrogen-Deuterium-Exchange mass spectrometry analyses demonstrate antibody interaction with an N-terminal region of CXCR2 that is part of the IL-8 epitope. The antibody strongly inhibits IL-8-induced and CXCR2-mediated neutrophil chemotaxis in vitro and alleviates h CXCR2-dependent experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis symptoms in mice. As inappropriate neutrophil migration accompanies many diseases including inflammatory bowel disease, glomerulonephritis, allergic asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and cancer, this antibody has potential for development as a therapeutic agent, akin to anti-TNF antibodies. However, an important difference here is that the antibody targets the chemokine receptor and competes with natural ligand, rather than targeting the ligand itself.

    Abstract: By analyzing the differences of contrast‐enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) features between low‐ and high‐grade of WHO/ISUP grading, to explore the diagnostic value of CEUS in evaluating the prognosis of renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Methods The qualitative and quantitative features of CEUS in 69 patients with RCC confirmed by surgical pathology in the Lanzhou University Second Hospital from March to October 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were categorized into two groups: low‐grade group (n = 22) and high‐grade group (n = 47), with surgical pathology as reference standard. The diagnostic performance of statistically significant CEUS features was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Results There were statistically significant differences in enhancement degree ( P  = .032) and quantitative features such as slope lesion ( P  = .034), the differences between lesion and cortex in arrive time (∆AT = AT lesion  − AT cortex , P  = .013), peak intensity(∆PI = [PI lesion  − PI cortex ]/PI cortex , P  = .003), area under the curve (∆Area = Area lesion  − Area cortex , P  = .008) in two groups, and the sensitivity was 70.2% and specificity was 71.4% of ∆PI, which has a high diagnostic performance in the differentiation of low‐grade group from high‐grade group ( P  = .005). Conclusions CEUS features such as ∆PI, may help differentiate low‐grade RCC from high‐grade RCC. CEUS has a promising application prospect in preoperative evaluation of the prognosis of RCC.

    Abstract: Indium tin oxide (ITO) film is one of the ideal candidates for transparent conductive cathode in methylammonium lead halide perovskite solar cells. Thus, the diffusion of methyl group in ITO film is inevitable, which could deteriorate the optical-electrical property of ITO film. In this study, ITO films with and without (100) preferred orientation were bombarded by the low-energy methyl group beam. After the bombardment, the optical-electrical property of ITO film without (100) preferred orientation deteriorated. The bombardment of methyl group had little influence on the optical-electrical property of ITO film with (100) preferred orientation. Finally, combining the crystallographic texture and chemical bond structure analysis, the diffusion mechanism of low-energy methyl group on ITO lattice and grain boundary, as well as the relation between the optical-electrical property and the diffusion of the methyl group, were discussed systematically. With the above results, ITO film with (100) preferred orientation could be an ideal candidate for transparent conductive cathode in methylammonium lead halide perovskite solar cells.
