Abstract:
Stronger/weaker winds over the Greenland Sea result in stronger/weaker flow of Atlantic Water in the Nordic Seas and into the Arctic Ocean In the Barents Sea there is a linear relationship between Atlantic Water volume and heat transport, surface heat loss, and sea ice extent There is potential for predictability of the Arctic‐Atlantic circulation based on wind forcing anomalies and climate response functions
