Abstract:
What's already known about this topic? Sonographic identification of fetal ventriculomegaly may result in termination of pregnancy. Post‐mortem examination is essential for identification of underlying pathology and prediction of recurrence risks. What does this study add? Traditional post‐mortem examination and post‐mortem MRI may not confirm prenatal ventriculomegaly. Parents should be advised before termination that post‐mortem confirmation, especially in mild cases, may not be possible. Antenatal MRI may be better for confirming prenatal findings.
