Abstract: Indoor air quality (IAQ) has been concerned since 1970s in some western countries. Many researchers have studied the effects of air pollution on children's health and evidence suggested that it did contribute significantly to the risk of adverse health in children. Children spend the majority of their time indoors, mostly at home. To study health effects of long-term exposure to indoor air, we conducted a questionnaire survey about indoor environment and children's health status in 2012 on the 4-5 grades children of a primary school in Beijing. The questionnaire was used to collect data on general information of children, living environment, residential equipments and lifestyle and children's health status. We classified the investigated families into several categories according to residential surrounding air pollution, decoration and smoking. Then we observed respiratory symptoms like cough, dyspnea with phlegm, nasal obstruction, asthma and some allergy symptoms in different categories. The results of this survey suggest that indoor air quality is associated with children's health. Morbidity of children's respiratory system symptoms and some allergy symptoms is higher in relatively poor indoor environment.

Abstract: The 6.5wt%Si composite plate, which contains three layers and the middle one is about 10wt% ferrosilicon alloy, is fabricated by clad casting and conventional thermomechanical processes. Experimental results reveal that the high silicon composite plate could get lager plastic deformation on the traditional rolling mill. Microstructure of different stages such as hot rolling, warm rolling and heat treatment are observed by optical microscope. Defects appeared in core layer of 6.5wt% high silicon composite plate could be eliminated in the diffusion annealing process. The values of iron loss are investigated at different frequencies which thickness of these homogenous thin sheets are near 0.3-0.5mm. Measurement results of 6.5wt%Si alloy samples produced by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and powder rolling processing (DPR), and 3wt%Si grain oriented steel are compared with samples prepared by laminar composite technique.

Abstract: 6.5wt% high silicon electrical sheet is hard to be obtained through conventional different rolling processes due to its remarkable brittleness at room temperature and appearance of ordered phases in the alloy substrates, especially it has very excellent soft magnetic properties. In this study, 6.5wt%Si three-layer composite panels were prepared by advanced technology of laminar composite. The defects, bonding strength, and distribution of elements of the coating and core layers are analyzed by the photographs of metallographic phase and SEM. Experimental results show that the high silicon composite plate could carry out lager plastic deformation on the traditional hot mill after the inner layer which is10%Si ferrosilicon alloy was coated. The defects generated during hot deformation were reduced and uniform distribution of elements were achieved through proper diffusion annealing process. This article provides a short process method to produce 0.3-0.5mm 6.5wt%Si thin sheet.

Abstract: Fe-6.0wt%Si sheet with thickness of 0.4mm was prepared with the process of coating casting, rolling and some corresponding heat treatments. During the preparation process, the effect of heat-treatment on the material’s plasticity was investigated by observing the variations of microstructure, hardness and phase structure before and after the heat-treatment. After heat-treatment and warm rolling, the rolling plasticity of composite sheet was estimated. The results showed that the grains of the coating of composite plate were refined, the ordering degree of composite plate’s core layer phases was restrained or even decreased, and the whole plasticity was increased by different heat treatments. Moreover, the rolling plasticity of the composite sheet, which was dealt with heat treatment and brine quenching, was the most required.

Abstract: High-silicon composite casting blank with the silicon content of 12wt% in core layer and with the silicon content of 3wt% in coating layer was fabricated by composite casting. The high-silicon steel composite sheet with smooth surface and good shape can be obtained by hot rolling and warm rolling. After high temperature diffusion and pickling process, the composite sheet with thickness of 0.44mm and homogeneous silicon content of 5.8wt.% could be achieved finally. The test results of magnetic properties show that the magnetic induction intensity B 50 and iron loss P 15/50 are 1.778T and 2.892w/kg respectively. It implies that the high-silicon steel composite sheet with high magnetic induction and low iron loss can be prepared by composite casting and rolling process.

Abstract: Although 6.5wt% high silicon electrical steel has pretty excellent soft magnetic properties, it is hard to be obtained by cold rolling at room temperature, by virtue of appearance of ordered phases in this alloy. In this research we report that very thin 6.5wt%Si composite sheet with 0.05-0.08mm thickness was fabricated by proper heat treatment and cold rolling after hot deformation. The 6.5wt%Si composite plate exhibits some extent of ductility at room temperature when the stage of hot deformation was finished. The effect of heat treatment on mechanical properties of this composite plate was investigated by optical microscope. After heat treatment, ductility of this composite plate is increased due to the ordered DO 3 phase transformation inhibited by cooling fast. It is provided a referable method to produce 6.5wt% high silicon steel with conventional forming process.

Abstract: The paper presents an imperceptible and robust digital watermarking algorithm using a combination of the DWT-DCT , which improves the robustness via using new embedding strategy. Apply 4-level DWT to the host image. Then, DCT transform of each directional middle frequencies DWT subband is computed; A binary watermarked logo is coded by Run-Length Code(RLC);The watermark bits are embedded in the coefficients of the DCT block based on the energy of each corresponding to coefficient in the highest level selected using the value of RLC. Performance evaluation show that the proposed scheme is invisible and robust against common image manipulations like JPEG compression, noise adding, sharpening, filtering.

Abstract: The model of solution heat exchangers of mixed absorption refrigeration cycle was developed. The effects of strong solution temperature difference between inlet and outlet of solution heat exchanger on the coefficient of performance (COP) and cooling water flow rate of mixed absorption refrigeration cycle were analyzed, at the same time, the effects of temperature difference on the unit heat exchange area of counter-flow and cross-flow solution heat exchangers were analyzed. The theoretical analysis results showed that there was an optimal value for the strong solution temperature difference, for the mixed absorption system, the optimal temperature difference was about 12°C, the corresponding COP was 11.2% higher and the cooling water flow rate was 7.8% less than that of system without heat exchanger.

Abstract: Bake-out exhaust method was used to significantly accelerate the release of VOCs from building materials. This paper studies the bake-out technology with dilution ventilation for indoor air pollution by experimental works. The baking effectiveness of formaldehyde, benzene, toluene and xylene ranged from 3 to 7.6, 7.6 to 25, 5.1 to 17 and 6 to 22 for the six cases, respectively. Baking effectiveness would become higher at longer baking time and higher baking temperature for formaldehyde and VOCs released from decorative materials. However, considering the possible deformation of building materials, 40°C and 10 hr would be the best choice for a suitable bake-out.

Abstract: Three types of bell mouth with the inward bell mouths whose exit diameter are larger than the impeller inner diameter of multi-blade centrifugal fan used in floor standing air-conditioner are investigated by using the numerical simulation method. Three bell mouths are as follows: The first type of bell mouth is the inward inlet used in the original air-conditioner. The second type is the inward inlet whose axial height is larger than the first type. The third type is the new mold line inward inlet with smaller slope angle than the first type. Calculation results show that the later two type bell mouths can help to improve air volume flow ratio, reduce the vortex in the back of volute exit and increase the air volume flow rate of 6.8 % and 4.2% respectively. The experimental verification was conducted for the simulation results and the experimental results shows that the air volume rates increase 4.7 % and 3% respectively, the level of noise is constant. The entire performances of the two types are both improved.
