    Abstract: Herpes zoster and post-herpetic neuralgia showed an increasing incidence during past two decades. Most of herpes zoster and post-herpetic neuralgia patients suffered from pain, anxiety, and depression. Fire needle combined with cupping is becoming a popular way to relieve the pain caused by herpes zoster and decrease the incidence of post-herpetic neuralgia. In this study, we aim to investigating the efficacy and safety of fire needle combined with cupping for the treatment of acute herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia (PHN). Methods: The literature search will be carried out in following databases: PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database and Wanfang Data. Published and unpublished controlled trials compared fire needle combined with cupping to other treatments for acute herpes zoster or PHN will be included. Data from eligible studies will be extracted by 2 independent reviewers. Different scales will be used to assess the risk of bias based on the study design. Pain intensity and PHN are primary outcomes. The final effect size will be reported using 95% confidence interval at 0.05 significance level. Discussion: This review will provide certain evidence to compare the efficacy and safety of combined acupuncture and cupping with guideline recommended drug or nerve block therapy for the treatment of herpes zoster and post-herpetic neuralgia. It will potentially provide more clinical suggestions and guidelines for health care professionals, policymakers, and researchers.

    Abstract: Aging is a multifaceted and complicated process, manifested by a decline of normal physiological functions across tissues and organs, leading to overt frailty, mortality, and chronic diseases, such as skeletal, cardiovascular, and cognitive disorders, necessitating the development of practical therapeutic approaches. Stem cell aging is one of the leading theories of organismal aging. For decades, mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) have been regarded as a viable and ideal source for stem cell-based therapy in anti-aging treatment due to their outstanding clinical characteristics, including easy accessibility, simplicity of isolation, self-renewal and proliferation ability, multilineage differentiation potentials, and immunomodulatory effects. Nonetheless, as evidenced in numerous studies, MSCs undergo functional deterioration and gradually lose stemness with systematic age in vivo or extended culture in vitro, limiting their therapeutic applications. Even though our understanding of the processes behind MSC senescence remains unclear, significant progress has been achieved in elucidating the aspects of the age-related MSC phenotypic changes and possible mechanisms driving MSC senescence. In this review, we aim to summarize the current knowledge of the morphological, biological, and stem-cell marker alterations of aging MSCs, the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie MSC senescence, the recent progress made regarding the innovative techniques to rejuvenate senescent MSCs and combat aging, with a particular focus on the interplay between aging MSCs and their niche as well as clinical translational relevance. Also, we provide some promising and novel directions for future research concerning MSC senescence.

    Abstract: On the basis of the charging load of a single electric vehicle, in order to reduce the variance of the equivalent load curve and alleviate the peak plus peak caused by electric vehicles, a local electric vehicle charging cooperative scheduling model with the distribution network node as the optimization unit is set up. The model is composed of node agent and electric vehicle agent. The electric vehicle agent is based on the node load obtained. Rate information, combining with its own state, using random probability charging algorithm to make the decision to start charging or stop charging, and use IEEE-33 node system as an example to use MATLAB software for the designed electricity. The algorithm is verified by dynamic vehicle charging cooperative scheduling strategy. The results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively load the load curve and reduce the variance of load curve.

    Abstract: Almost total lack of sperm-borne RNAs is regarded as one of the key factors that leads to the abnormal development of somatic cell nuclear transfer embryo. This paper reveals a need for us to further explore the roles of the paternal regulatory factors on embryonic development in early embryos. Abstract Mature sperm contain both coding and non-coding RNAs, which can be delivered into an oocyte with the sperm at fertilization. Accumulating evidences show that these sperm-borne RNAs play crucial roles in epigenetic reprogramming, cytoskeleton remodeling, embryonic development, and offspring phenotype. Almost total lack of sperm-borne RNAs is regarded as one of the key factors that leads to the abnormal development of somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) embryo. bta-miR-183 was found to be highly expressed in bovine sperm and can be delivered into oocytes during fertilization in our previous study, and in this study, EZR was confirmed as a target gene of bta-miR-183 in early embryos by bioinformatics, luciferase, and gain-of-function and loss-of-function experiments. Scanning electron microscopy showed that the density of microvilli on the surface of SCNT embryos was significantly higher than that on in vitro fertilized embryos and was significantly reduced by injection of bta-miR-183 mimic. EZR -siRNA injected into SCNT embryos had a similar effect. This indicated that the lack of bta-miR-183 might lead to abnormal changes in microvilli by downregulating ezrin protein. In addition, gain-of-function studies showed that bta-miR-183 significantly improved developmental competence of SCNT embryo in terms of cleavage (76.63% vs 64.32%, P 〈 0.05), blastocyst formation (43.75% vs 28.26%, P 〈 0.05), apoptotic index (5.21% vs 12.64%, P 〈 0.05), and the trophoblast ratio (32.65% vs 25.58%, P 〈 0.05) in day 7 blastocysts. Thus, the present study indicated that bta-miR-183 might play crucial roles in the formation of microvilli and embryo development by regulating expression of EZR mRNA.

    Abstract: It is challenging to assure safe and effective gas mining due to the surrounding soft coal rock and rock roads in deep and high gas mines being extremely loose and broken. One of the effective ways is to arrange pre-stressed anchors in a certain area of the roadway surrounding rocks to form a compression arch with the joint action of anchors and surrounding rocks, but due to the lack of in-depth systematic research on the formation mechanism of the compression arch, the effect is difficult to give full play. The typical microstructure of deep soft coal and rock was observed by the borehole camera method, and the mechanical performance parameters were measured in the laboratory. The distribution characteristics of different bolt spacing, bolt pre-tightening force, and bolt length along the bolt arrangement direction and the additional compressive stress on the surface of the straight wall of a semi-circular arch deep soft coal and rock roadway were numerically simulated and analyzed. According to the uniform distribution range and size of the small fluctuation of the additional compressive stress inside the coal and rock, the distribution and size of the additional compressive stress on the surface of the straight wall and the effective superposition of the additional compressive stress, and the thickness and strength of the compression arch of the deep coal and rock preload bolt were analyzed, and the reasonable parameters of the pre-stressed bolt were determined. The results show that bolt spacing, pre-tightening force, and bolt length significantly affect the thickness and strength of the compression arch. The reasonable spacing of the pre-stressed bolt was a × b = 600 mm × 600 mm~400 mm × 400 mm, the pre-stressed bolt pre-tightening force was F = 50~90 kN, the length of the pre-stressed bolt was L = 1500~2000 mm, the strength of compression arch was Δσc = −1.480~−1.589 MPa, and the thickness of the compression arch was m = −266.67~−533.33 mm.

    Abstract: A patient’s pain during mandibular third molar extraction often creates problems for a dental surgeon and can also cause immense patient discomfort, such as decreased quality of life, serious complications, or even danger to the patients’ lives. Effective pain management is therefore of great importance. Conventional block anesthesia method often fails to control such pain completely during an operation. Therefore, two available alternatives, Gow-Gates (G-G) and Vazirani-Akinosi (V-A) methods, have been developed. However, the results of current studies regarding their effectiveness and safety are somewhat ambiguous. The use of G-G and V-A techniques is therefore restricted. This study did a comprehensive review of the relevant research and finally 7 RCTs were included. The results of this meta-analysis indicate that both G-G and V-A techniques have a lower risk of positive aspiration. G-G technique also evidenced a higher success rate than the conventional method. V-A was faster while the G-G technique in contrast had a slower onset time than the conventional technique. In terms of the measurement of analgesic success, however, the V-A method was statistically indistinguishable from conventional techniques. These findings will hopefully endow clinicians with the knowledge required to make appropriate choices for effective anesthesia during lower third molar extraction.
