Abstract: Diphenylamine (DPA) is a harmful pesticide widely used to control post-harvest scald of fruits. In this study, rapid and sensitive determination of DPA was realized by the development of an effective electrochemical sensor, which was fabricated by coupling La-doped NiWO 4 nanoparticles (La/NiWO 4 ) with reduced graphene oxide (rGO), and the obtained rGO/La/NiWO 4 nanocomposite was modified on glassy carbon electrodes (GCEs). The morphologies, structures and compositions were well characterized, and the effects of La doping and the introduction of rGO on the crystal structure and electrochemical performance were discussed. The incorporation of both La and rGO was found to enhance the active surface area and improve conductivity, resulting in the enhanced electrocatalytic performance of rGO/La/NiWO 4 /GCE, including a wide linear range (0.01–500 μM), a low detection limit (0.0058 μM) and high sensitivity (1.778 μA μM −1 cm −2 ). The fabricated sensor was further used for DPA detection in fresh apple extract to evaluate its practicality and demonstrated excellent recoveries ranging from 99.52 to 104.70%.

Abstract: At different reaction temperatures, using Cu(NO 3 ) 2 ·3H 2 O to react with enantiomerically pure N-donor ligands (L S /L R ), respectively, two pairs of chiral one-dimensional (1D) Cu II chain enantiomers formulated as [Cu(μ 2 -NO 3 )(NO 3 )(L S )] n /[Cu(μ 2 -NO 3 )(NO 3 )(L R )] n (S-1-Cu/R-1-Cu, formed at 40 °C with an NO 3 − group as a sole bridging ligand) and [Cu(μ 2 -L S )(NO 3 ) 2 ] n /[Cu(μ 2 -L R )(NO 3 ) 2 ] n (S-2-Cu/R-2-Cu, formed at 25 °C with L S or L R as a bridging ligand) were prepared, where L S /L R = (+)/(−)-4,5-pinenepyridyl-2-pyrazine. Interestingly, such a disparity in bridging ligands leads not only to their distinct structural features but also to their completely different magnetic couplings together with a large difference in their nonlinear optical responses. S-1-Cu with a 1D helical structure shows weak ferromagnetic coupling between Cu II ions, while S-2-Cu with a 1D stairway-like structure presents weak antiferromagnetic coupling. In particular, they simultaneously possess both second- and third-harmonic generation (SHG and THG) responses in one molecule with large strength differences. More remarkably, S-1-Cu exhibits a very large THG response (162 × α-SiO 2 ), which is 22.5 times that of S-2-Cu, and the SHG strength of S-1-Cu is more than 3 times that of S-2-Cu. This work demonstrates that reaction temperature has a great impact on the self-assembled structures of coordination polymers and subsequently results in their large performance differences.

Abstract: To develop and validate a novel weighted score integrating multisystem laboratory and clinical variables to predict poor 3‐month outcome (mRS score of 3–6) in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients with intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) therapy. Methods We retrospectively analyzed data from Trial of Revascularization Treatment for Acute Ischemic Stroke study. The Supra‐Blan 2 t score was derived using the data on age, the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score, history of atrial fibrillation, blood sugar level, neutrophil count, direct bilirubin level, platelet–lymphocyte ratio, and TnI level in the derivation cohort of 433 patients, and validated in a cohort of 525 patients. Furthermore, we compared the performance of the Supra‐Blan 2 t score with DRAGON, TURN, and SPAN‐100 scores. Results The discrimination capacity in the derivation and validation cohorts was good for poor 3‐month outcome (the area under the curve was 0.821 and 0.843, respectively). The cumulative incidence of poor 3‐month outcome significantly increased across risk categories in the derivation (low‐risk, 9.2%; medium‐risk, 17.4%; and high‐risk, 58.8%) and validation cohorts (12.7%, 36.5%, and 73.6%, respectively). The performance of the Supra‐Blan 2 t score was similar to or superior to DRAGON, TURN, and SPAN‐100 scores. Conclusion The Supra‐Blan 2 t score, based on easily available multisystem laboratory and clinical variables, reliably predicted poor 3‐month functional outcome in AIS patients treated with IVT therapy featuring good calibration and discrimination.

Abstract: The assessment of the spatiotemporal evolution of habitat quality caused by land use changes can provide a scientific basis for the ecological protection and green development of mining cities. Taking Yanshan County as an example of a typical mining city, this article discussed the spatial pattern and evolution characteristics of habitat quality in 2000 and 2018 based on the ArcGIS platform and the InVEST model. The conclusions are as below: from 2000 to 2018, the area of farmland and construction land changed the most in the study area. Among them, the area of farmland decreased by 3.48%, and the area of industrial and mining land and construction land increased by 53.25%. Areas of low, relatively low and high habitat quality expanded, and areas of medium and relatively high habitat quality shrank, which is closely related to the distribution of land use. The areas with high habitat degradation degrees appear around cities, mining areas and watersheds, while the areas with low habitat degradation degrees are mainly distributed in the southern woodland. The distribution of cold and hot spots in the habitat quality distribution of Yanshan County presents a pattern of “hot in the south and cold in the north”. The results are of great significance to the precise implementation of ecosystem management decisions in mining cities and the creation of a landscape pattern of “beautiful countrysides, green cities, and green mines”.

Abstract: With the rapid development of the economy and society in recent years, the ecological environment has deteriorated significantly. The governments at all levels, departments, and relevant scholars have begun to pay attention to urban ecological construction and research on urban disaster prevention and mitigation. The concept of resilience has gained widespread attention in this context. However, at present, urban ecological resilience research is still in its infancy, and there are many qualitative but few quantitative studies in terms of assessment methods. This study explores the complex dynamic evolution mechanism of urban ecosystem resilience based on the three resilience characteristics and selects Nanchang, an important ecological barrier in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and a model area for integrated management of the Great Lakes basin, as an assessment target. This study establishes a quantitative measurement and evaluation framework for urban ecological resilience in three dimensions (resistance, adaptation, and vitality) and conducts a comprehensive evaluation of urban ecosystem resilience. The results show that the trend of land-use change from 1990 to 2020 is mainly characterized by the continuous decrease in arable land and ecological land (forestland, grassland, and water) and the continuous increase in construction land, among which the land-use dynamic attitude of construction land is the largest, reaching 5.33% from 1990 to 2005. During the study period, the overall ecosystem resilience of Nanchang showed a gradual decline and was always at a moderate-to-low level, with a long-term distribution pattern of “low in the middle and high in the surrounding areas” and clear spatial heterogeneity. This study helps clarify the security status of the regional ecosystem and provides a reference for exploring the complex dynamic evolution mechanism of ecological resilience.

Abstract: Mesocotyl elongation is an important trait influencing seedling emergence and establishment in rice direct-seeding cultivation and is immediately inhibited after light exposure. Detailed researches on the molecular basis and biological processes underlying light repression of mesocotyl growth could probably provide useful information for key factors controlling this trait. Here we monitored the transcriptome and endogenous phytohormone changes specifically in the elongating mesocotyl in response to light exposure with a time-course. It was revealed that 974 transcripts were significantly differentially expressed (FDR  〈  0.05, |log 2 (L/D) | ≥2) after light exposure. Most of the differential expression genes associated with the responses to hormone. Metabolic pathway analysis using the KEGG system suggested plant hormone signal transduction, α-linolenic acid metabolism and diterpenoid biosynthesis were critical processes of mesocotyl growth inhibited by light. Consistent with DEGs, the endogenous IAA, tZ and GA 3 content was significantly reduced while JA level was dramatically increased, which indicated that light inhibited rice mesocotyl growth through decreasing IAA, tZ and GA 3 content and/or increasing JA level. The present results enriched our knowledge about the genes and phytohormones regulating mesocotyl elongation in rice, which may help improve future studies on associated genes and develop new varieties tolerance to deep sowing.
