    Abstract: Ekosistem terumbu karang merupakan ekosistem yang rentan terhadap kerusakan. Berbagai aktivitas manusia yang tidak ramah lingkungan dan perubahan iklim global telah menyebabkan kondisi ekosistem terumbu karang mengalami kerusakan, sehingga kondisi tutupan karang hidup yang baik semakin menurun, sementara yang mengalami kerusakan semakin meningkat. Untuk menjaga kondisi dan kelestarian ekosistem terumbu karang di Perairan Desa Sebong Lagoi agar tidak menurun, maka diperlukan suatu upaya konservasi terumbu karang. Salah satu upaya konservasi yang dapat dilakukan yaitu kegiatan transplantasi karang. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah diharapkan kelompok masyarakat Kampung Baru, Desa Sebong Lagoi mampu melakukan kegiatan transplantasi karang, mulai dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, hingga perawatan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu memberikan pengenalan dan pelatihan kegiatan tranplantasi karang kepada kelompok masyarakat Kampung Baru, Desa Sebong Lagoi mulai dari kegiatan persiapan dalam memilih lokasi dan peralatan yang dibutuhkan, pelaksanaan kegiatan transplantasi yaitu pemilihan induk dan metode transplantasi karang, serta pendampingan sehingga mampu mengaplikasikan kegiatan transplantasi dan perawatan transplantasi karang. Kegiatan ini mendapat respon positif dan antusias dari Kelompok Masyarakat Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) dan masyarakat Kampung Baru Desa Sebong Lagoi terkait kegiatan pengabdian tersebut, serta kegiatan pengabdian dapat dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan secara tatap muka dengan masyarakat, namun dengan memperhatikan protokol Covid-19.

    Abstract: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pertumbuhan, tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan mengetahui pengaruh frekuensi waktu pembersihan terhadap keberhasilan transplantasi karang keras (Acropora millepora) di Perairan Malang Rapat, Bintan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode transplantasi menggunakan modul terbuat dari semen berbentuk balok. Transplantasi karang dilakukan dengan empat perlakuan, perlakuan A (fragmen dibersihkan setiap 1 minggu), perlakuan B (fragmen dibersihkan setiap 2 minggu), perlakuan C (fragmen dibersihkan setiap 3 minggu) dan perlakuan D (tidak ada pembersihan fragmen) dengan 5 kali pengulangan setiap perlakuan. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap minggu selama 12 minggu penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan mutlak pada perlakuan A sebesar 14,94 ± 4,98 mm, perlakuan B sebesar 18,16 ± 5,93 mm, perlakuan C sebesar 12,30 ± 3,78 mm dan perlakuan D sebesar 12,22 ± 4,34 mm. Laju pertumbuhan fragmen karang pada perlakuan A sebesar 1,24 ± 0,41 mm/minggu, perlakuan B sebesar 1,51 ± 0,49 mm/minggu, perlakuan C sebesar 1,02 ± 0,31 mm/minggu, dan laju perlakuan D sebesar 1,01 ± 0,36 mm/minggu. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup fragmen karang Acropora millepora pada perlakuan A dan B sebesar 100% (tidak mengalami kematian), sedangkan perlakuan C dan D sebesar 83,08% (mengalami kematian). Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antara pertumbuhan karang Acropora millepora berdasarkan perbedaan waktu pembersihan. Perlakuan B (pembersihan fragmen setiap 2 minggu sekali) merupakan perlakuan dengan pertumbuhan optimum.

    Abstract: Perairan Pengudang, memiliki sumberdaya kelautan perikanan yang beragam. Salah satu potensi yang ada yaitu ekosistem terumbu karang dan ikan yang berasosiasi di ekosistem tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi persentase terumbu karang hidup dan kelimpahan ikan indikator Chaetodontidae beserta hubungannya. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Underwater Photo Transeck (UPT) untuk kondisi terumbu karang dan Underwater Visual Cencus (UVC) untuk ikan chaetodontidae, selanjutnya data karang diolah dengan aplikasi CPCe 4.0. Untuk data ikan Chaetodontidae yang diperoleh dihitung jumlah individu dan diidentifikasi jenis Species yang didapati. Lalu untuk melihat hubungan dari persentase tutupan terumbu karang terhadap kelimpahan ikan indikator Chaetodontidae menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Persentase karang hidup Perairan Pengudang untuk lokasi pengamatan 1 sebesar 54,14% dengan kategori baik, lokasi pengamatan 2 sebesar 52,57% dengan kategori baik, dan untuk lokasi pengamatan 3 sebesar 35,34% dengan kategori sedang. Adapun untuk jenis ikan Caetodonthidae ditemukan yaitu Chaetodon octofasciatus dengan kelimpahan dan Chelmon rostratus. Untuk keterkaitan diketahui bahwa persentasi karang hidup berpengaruh positif terhadap kelimpahan ikan Chaetodontidae dengan total pengaruh sebesar 7,61% sedangkan 92,39% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya. nilai korelasi ini merupakan nilai korelasi yang sangat rendah

    Abstract: Community service activity is conducted in the region of KKN-PPM Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji (UMRAH) in the Malang Rapat Village, Bintan Regency.  Malang Rapat Village was chosen because of the location on the coastal area and have a concern about the management of hydrology, clean water resources and the management of limited water resources.  The lack of information and transfer of knowledge to the community in the coastal areas will produce some difficulties to solve the problems, especially in solving the problems regarding the adequacy and need for clean water. Then the general condition of the youth village in the coastal areas is not goal oriented. Based on those exercising their Community Services activities are carried out using the learning development by including the principle of 4C (Creative, Collaborative, Communicative and Competitive). It is expected that with the development of scientific principles that incorporate the principle of the transfer of the value of creativity, collaborative, communicative and competitive will give a very good impact to the target object for the long term. In this case, appropriate technology was designed for a public event in the Region KKN-PPM Malang Rapat Village in helping to resolve the problem of clean water needs for consumption is making Fix Desalination System. Fix Desalination System designed structure mica glass/acrylic which has a volume of 1 m3 to produce 15.95 ml distilled fresh water in the tank within 6 hours.

    Abstract: Teluk Sebong is one of the areas around Bintan Island, Indonesia, that has potential coral reef resources. Bintan borders directly with neighbouring countries and with a major shipping lane (ALKI I) traversing the Indonesian Archipelago. This makes the coral reef ecosystems in this region particularly vulnerable to disruption from changes in the aquatic environment. There is a need for primary data on the coral reef ecosystem condition as a basis for understanding changes in this ecosystem. One commonly used method is the Coral Reef Health Index (CRHI), which can describe the current status in terms of live coral cover, the level of resilience (potential for recovery) during times of stress, the condition of economically important reef fish biomass, and ecologically related functions. The CRHI can be used in monitoring coral reef status and can provide a basis for the management of coral reef ecosystems. This study examined five sampling sites located in Teluk Sebong, Bintan Island. The in-situ data collection included the condition of coral reefs using the Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) method and reef fish condition using the Underwater Visual Census (UVC) method. The coral data collected were analyzed using the CPCe (Coral Point Calculate with Excel extension) software version 4.0 to determine the percentage benthic cover. The coral reef fish data were analyzed to provide target fish density and biomass values (carnivores and herbivores). The live coral cover in Teluk Sebong ranged from 30.87 - 45.40%. Out of the five research sites, Berakit, Pengudang, and Lagoi Bay had coral cover in the high category while coral cover at Banyan Tree and Rawa Island was in the medium category. Reef fish biomass in Teluk Sebong ranged from 9.26 - 108.07 kg/ha, and at all research sites fish biomass was in a low category. The coral reef ecosystem resilience in Teluk Sebong was high at the Berakit and Banyan tree sites; in contrast, Pengudang, Lagoi Bay, and Rawa Island were in the low resilience category. The coral reef index (CRHI) value was highest in Berakit (CRHI = 6), followed by Banyan Tree (CRHI = 5), Pengudang (CRHI = 4), Lagoi Bay (CRHI = 4), and Rawa Island (CRHI = 2).
