Abstract:
Joint inversion of teleseismic and tsunami indicates that the 2016 Wharton Basin earthquake ruptured on a NS striking westward dipping plane The kinematic rupture model with rupture front speed of 2.0 km/s produces good fits to both teleseismic and tsunami waveforms The major slip region with slip amount up to 9 m is located from near surface to 30 km depth
