Abstract: In the paper the rheological properties of crude oil of White Tiger oil-field (Vietnam) and its emulsion with sea-water, including measurement results and analytical approximation formulae for wide range of pressure, temperature and water concentration, are presented. As it is known, the crude oil of White Tiger oil-field is a high-paraffin and high-viscous oil. At the low temperature (T ≤ 40°C) it behaves as non-Newtonian fluid of Bingham-Shvedov group. Therefore, beside the effective viscosity, the effective dynamic shear stress is also measured and approximated. The rheological properties of crude oil and emulsion of crude oil and water are also measured and approximated for the case when the mixture contains 0.1% chemical reagent ES-3363.

Abstract: This paper presents an experimental facility conducted in Hanoi Institute of Mechanics to investigate multiphase How pattern in the pipes. First and foremost, it is used to define the conditions of water layer formation in the horizontal pipe.Experimental results have been obtained in stainless steel pipes of three different diameters (24.6mm; 30.8mm and 40.5mm) with white spindle oil N° 10 and water. They have been shown in the form of water layer maps.

Abstract: On the imperfect water entry, a high-speed slender body moving in the forward direction, rotates inside the cavity. The body's motion makes super cavity phenomena in the water flow. The water velocity and pressure fields interact during the body's motion. In this paper, the coupling simulation model is a combination of two sub-models: In the first sub-model, the motion of slender body running very fast underwater is simulated. The equation system of this sub-model is solved by Runge-Kutta method; In the second sub-model, the water flow and pressure field under reaction of very fast slender body motion are simulated by CFD model. The simulation results of this coupled model are compared with experiments based on magnitudes of velocity U by x0 direction and error percents for cavity diameter and length.

Abstract: In the paper, the investigation results of periodical gas-lift flows in vertical pipes using experiment method are presented. The experiment facilities consist of flow measurement equipment, gas and fluid supplier facilities, tubing system. To study the influence of medium physical and dynamical characteristics on the process efficiency, two liquid-gas systems are used, namely, water-air and spindle oil-air. The objects of investigation are to obtain data from tests conducted in some conduits and to analyse the influence of system physical, geometrical and etc. parameters such as: initial liquid height in the conduits, gas injected volume, conduit diameter, conduit configuration and etc. on the considered process.

Abstract: In this work the mathematical model is constructed and the features of the injection of warm carbon dioxide (with the temperature higher than the initial reservoir temperature) into the porous reservoir initially saturated with methane gas and water are investigated. Self-similar solutions of the one-dimensional problem describing the distributions of the main parameters in the reservoir are constructed. The effect of the parameters of the injected carbon dioxide and the reservoir on the intensity of the CO2hydrate formation is analyzed.

Abstract: The paper presents the study results of intermittent gaslift. vertical flows using both experiment and theoretical models. To study the influence of medium thermophysical characteristics on the process efficiency, two gas-liquid systems are used in the experiments. The obtained results show that there is a critical gas injection volume, less than that the liquid slug cannot reach the top of the tubing. Correlations for prediction of liquid entrainment in gas core are also shown for two presented gas-liquid systems. Amodified dynamical model was developed. The model consists of a system of differential equations. The resulting system of equations is numerically solved. The numerical code is verified by using experimental data and calculation data of the other authors. Finally, the effects of system parameters are studied.

Abstract: An algorithm for simultaneous determination of pressure and temperature distribution in oil-producing tube flow and the counter flow in gas-lift annulus has been proposed. The algorithm is based on a double loop iterative procedure and shooting method. The two-phase flow calculation for pressure Used in the algorithm is based on improved methods of Beggs and Brills, Orkissewski or Hagedorn and Brown. The numerical implementation for an example is presented to assure the applicability of proposed algorithm.

Abstract: On the imperfect water entry, a high speed slender body moving in the forward direction rotates inside the cavity. The super cavity model describes the very fast motion of body in water. In the super cavity model the drag coefficient plays important role in body's motion. In some references this drag coefficient is simply chosen by different values in the interval 0.8-1.0. In some other references this drag coefficient is written by the formula  with  is the cavity number,   is the angle of body axis and flow direction,  is a parameter chosen from the interval 0.6-0.85. In this paper the drag coefficient  is written with fixed  and the parameter is corrected so that the simulation body velocities are closer to observation data. To find the convenient drag coefficient the data assimilation method by differential variation is applied. In this method the observing data is used in the cost function. The data assimilation is one of the effected methods to solve the optimal problems by solving the adjoin problems and then finding the gradient of cost function.
