Abstract:
Cover: Four new phenylacetylenes having two hydroxyl groups and an alkyl group with more than six C atoms were found to be suitable for helix‐sense‐selective polymerization. Other phenylacetylenes with shorter alkyl groups gave only insoluble polymers. The longer alkyl chains could stabilize a one‐handed helical structure in solution by effectively forming intramolecular hydrogen bonds. Further details can be found in the article by S. Hadano, T.
