Abstract:
Label‐free optical technologies provide tissue features without tissue preparation and artificial stainings that are typically used in conventional pathology. Here, Raman spectroscopy is integrated to multiphoton microscopy for joint investigation of the bio‐chemistry and morphology in murine lung fibrosis, revealing molecular fingerprints, cellular components and connective tissue. Machine learning models can then use these label‐free features for automated prediction of conventional pathological scores.
